I do love that tunnel! A few days after being back I watched the movie The Car from the 70s. They filmed the entire opening scene on that road.

Nick--Colorado boy who now lives / hikes in Utah--north of checkerboard mesa is an incredible hike for you to come back to-East Rim trail to Cable Mountain and the rim overlook.
