I’m ready for my boy BI to start his next chapter. Tired of the ungrateful fans of this franchise treating BI like stepchild for Zion who hasn’t scored a playoff point.
I have to agree. A perfect example of an ungrateful fan is Jake Madison from Locked on Pelicans. That guy is the biggest Zion nut hugger, and biggest Brandon Ingram hater, Ungrateful.
same thought. this is straight fact. have been on this trade rumors and had been waiting for b.i to walk away from this ungrateful fanbase and team. im really thinking that this season will be a revenge season for him.
I've been saying this for years but the New Orleans Pelicans/Hornets are cursed. Every star they get, they are gone before the end of the second contract.
Because who wants to live in New Orleans or Charlotte for long term? Don't get me wrong, they're great cities to visit when vacationing but they're not the best cities to live in long term. Same goes for Detroit.
Zion is an "IF" player kind of guy to me. If is he was healthy narrative all the time. Every player in the league right now would relish the opportunity to be given patience and backing of the franchise to replace Zion at any moment.
As a Thunder fan letting Jonas walk is a mistake we need the size and so do yall. We’ll take em off you if yall don’t need him he’s a great fit for the thunder we’ve been missing a true big since Steven Adams.
JV and Zion don't work well together JV isn't a perimeter threat and he's too slow to work well with Zion so Thunder can have him - Pels need a big like Markkanen to spread out defences for Zion.
They should do it.. Ingram is a liability when it counts most. They need another all-nba type talent to pair next to Zion for when he inevitably gets injured.
Player A: beast in the paint, midrange very questionable, on again of again motor, doesnt shoot threes, can only be decently effective with the ball in his hand yet is very turnover prone, defensively he has to be motivated or else he is a cone, Can be easily game planned against, is constantly hurt with season ending injuries and cant be bribed with bonuses to stay in shape. Player B: 3 level scorer, more consistent and range on matchups defensively, semi constanly hurt but never with season ending injuries, has proved when even close to 100% healthy ( wasnt fully healthy vs suns either but not many players are at that point) he will eat in the playoffs, dedicated to the city and sport so much that he refused to miss the play-in to give team best chance of succeeding unlike another player who was healthy yet decided he didnt feel like him yet, played bad owned up to it instead of blaming the rest of the team and coaches while out of breath 30 mins after the game talking about a backseat. Give me B everytime
Agreed. We had no patience with Hart and Nickeil. Yikes, two seasons where we don't win a championship, let's make some big trades (that are now aging). This team has a nervous aura about it.
Trey Murphy has a lot of development ahead of him. He is a good finisher, three point shooter but doesn’t seem to have any kind of off the dribble shooting , mid range downhill pull-ups, he’d be elite if he had some of the Chris Paul type mid rangers..even something in the arsenal of BI who can create his own shot…he needs all this to be an ideal starter if BI is traded…BI though would have done alot better with Zion playing with him in the playoffs. A finals run CP3 level point guard is what the Pels need….and a new big if Jonas signs elsewhere.
Trade Cj who disappears in the big moment and get an actual PG and SG combo and a taller center. BI needs to stay in NOLA and Zion needs to add more to his game bc it’s easy to stop him from driving
the issue is McCollum. in theory ingram fits great next to zion. i'd package those lakers and bucks picks and get a true playmaker. thats what they need.
I think what we are seeing is that superstars should have input but little weight in managerial decisions. Its been pretty evident especially recently these guys come in, destroy the franchises chances of long term success with a "win now superteam" and they all fall flat because they don't have the cash or assets to build a strong supporting cast.
Zion should have no say..he hasn’t played a single playoff game. Has missed an entire season and most of two other seasons, came into last season out of shape. Trading away players that help the franchise become a playoff team twice to fit a guy who refuses to shoot or improve his game and is always out when you need him is goofy but its typical of a cheap small market franchise who doesn’t want to pay a player that helped keep the team relevant as at least competitive while there so called star ate his way out of the lineup
Zion doesn’t have the it factor. Try and prove this statement wrong and you’ll realize it for yourself. He’s a great player Superstar talent If he cannot focus on being the best him he will never be the best him. I wish him nothing but the best. Especially when he’s in Houston 😂
My boy coop wit the scoop early on the AM….but honestly if the pels wanna move on from Zion my Knicks can definitely made a bid for him…..gettin rid of Julius Randle has never been more clear
@@robburton4250 he not playing right now when we need him the most he can go for all i care I’ve never been sold on him despite his accolades he’s still just a role player to me
BI doesn't fit with Zion it's time to move on and if I'm the Pels I'm keeping Zion and building a team around him - BI had his chance to be "the guy" in the playoffs without Zion and he absolutely shat the bed..
I think he’s shown this year why he should’nt be traded. He lost 25 pounds. He showed that he actually cares about his career and that’s why he was so pissed after he got hurt because he worked so hard to get back. He’s the future of the franchise we just need to take care of him and he needs to take care of himself
nah pelicans wouldnt, the city of new orleans is seeing a 22% increase in revenue from the chicken wing industry from this one man, he brings more value than you think. i saw him carry a kroger bag with 3 whole fried chickens in the tunnel walk out fits once, dude was drippin in chicken grease
He gotta lose weight plain and simple. You keep getting hurt you should play at at smaller weight. Not saying he ain’t in decent shape but you gotta be leaner to be more durable
@@hunterzolomon1303 dudes always trynna use exceptions to the rule as examples. He used the worst example in JA when his archetype always hurt …s rose..wall.. even dates back to Steve Francis
Mannn I know I might be hypocritical because ofc during the playoffs I was hating on BI… but after cooling down, I think it might be a mistake. This dude is genuinely one of the best scorers in the league when he’s on one, but the playoffs was an unfortunate situation where he was playing off an injury. CJ and Jonas for sure got to go… but idk if we really need to put him up for sale as aggressively as we are right now.
It's difficult to play with a teammate who is rarely on the court. You need to build synergy and continuity. Brandon has given his heart and soul for this team. I love Zion, but I can't entertain 'what ifs' for a player who hasn't shown that he can be available.
@@amantheman_ that's the thing, it was only this season. Also this wasn't Brandons best season as a whole. Brandon is a shooter, and Zion is a post player. I just don't see how pelicans improve if they get rid of there most consistent scorer. I'm all for Zion but you have to factor in he may miss 30 or more games of the season.
@@KleinpeterHank valid point, I meant overall. I've seen seasons were Brandon was fed up from not having a complete team especially the playoffs. Like last year and this year I was really hoping Zion would being able to be healthy for a round. We haven't seen that yet.
Trade Zion for a treasure trove from whatever team is dumb enough to cough it up and build around Ingram, Zions upsides are ASTRONOMICAL. The likelihood he ever realizes those upsides are also astronomically against him. Not only is his availability a rollercoaster but he will probably pack on those pounds he's lost in the off season due to the injury and the fact its the off season.
If you want to trade Zion cool. But telling a team to build around Brandon is delusional. You'd be better off just completely rebuilding. Anthony Edwards, Nikola Jokic, Luka, Shai, Tatum, Giannis etc are all out there. Your not gonna beat those guys with a team where Brandon Ingram is your best player. Trading Zion is one thing, but building around Ingram is a completely different beast.
@virginmax looking at who NO has right now and the stars that will be available this off season combined with this year's draft class, who would YOI build around then? You gotta look at the practicality of the situation. It's not like NO is some sort of MUST GO TO destination for star players, and I actually enjoy the city alot. You COULD tear it ALL down but then we are talking about potentially sending the Pelicans back to rebuilding hell right alongside the Pistons OR they could luck out like OKC trade for a future beast like SGA, land a player the caliber of Chet/Wemby - if one of those ever comes along again, and springboard their rebuilding process to the moon but what is the likelihood of that?
@@grandtheftaudio6386 Yea, absolutely wait for a Wemby, Anthony Edwards, Or Zion type hype player. Because if you build around B.I you will not win enough to be competitive, but you won't lose enough to get a CHANCE to get the next great talent. Look at Wemby bro, he will only get better. All these teams are young and dangerous. You need to upgrade. Brandon is not going to cut it. The reason i say keep Zion is, yea he's had his issues but he can sell tickets, and this year he played 71 games. He is the only player on that team that is on that top tier level to Compete with a jokic or edwards. He is also adding a Mid range. He is your best shot. But if you want to give up on him, you have to trade B.I as well. Because let's just talk straight up, even if you think Zion is not on Edwards and Jokic level, there is no way you think B.I is close to that level. B.I is mad nice, but he not even Paul George level. With respect to B.I though. Just saying.
@Abe2u you got a better one? Let's hear it then. Everything I've said are facts. This years draft IS weak, this year free agency IS weak, how Manu full seasons have the Pelicans gotten out of Zion? 0 and EVEN if they do manage to get atleast 1 one of him how will his body hold up in a deep playoff run considering he's yet to play that many games? Like I said we gotta look at this in a practical manner instead of trying to bet on "what ifs" and "maybes."
Zion looks and sounds like an athlete with diabetes trying to be an athlete without diabetes, for gods sake get him a personal trainer that tells him the truth and not just a trainer after the $$$!
I love BI, but I really want Herb, Trey, and Zion as our starters. BI is a baller, but I think his game doesn't allow this team to be the best version of itself.
Imagine Griff extending Z while unsure of his health that time while hes hesitant to extend BI today bec of the series vs OKC? Dude is the only scorer that series and they only need to defend him plus WG didn't do any changes for 4 games to help him 🤦🤦..i really hope they trade BI out 🙏🙏🙏
@@wcsartanddesignfacts. Best basketball we gonna see lol the man averaged 24 points damn near every season since being a pelican. New systems made his stats drop and they were still on par with zions and other allstars who consistently get 20 shots a game not 8 times out of 82 games if that.
@@patricklewis2199the blame doesn’t fall on Ingram don’t get me wrong. Have you seen his play off stats? Pelicans would benefit better w Zion and letting Ingram go who is very methodical player
that`s why we need a new coach, look what hart is doing in N.Y. even Jaxson Hayes, the bad coaching didn`t know how to place him, that`s when I knew he`s not a coach compare how Ham placed him with Green Green placed him on the outside of the red paint like he was an outside shooter instead of having him in the paint trying to get the rebounds and that`s exactly what Ham did. Green is no coach.
Our big 3 just doesn’t play well on the floor together. Brandon takes the hardest shots and slows down the offense plus our 4th quarter performances are one of the worst in the league fr…im cool with shopping Brandon & getting a big & w PG. that’s what we need.
nah pelicans fans arent sad, the city of new orleans is seeing a 22% increase in revenue from the chicken wing industry from this one man, he brings more value than you think. i saw him carry a kroger bag with 3 whole fried chickens in the tunnel walk out fits once, dude was drippin in chicken grease
Brandon got to start being a force without the ball . He's not a freak athlete and that is what the coach be looking at. He knows he can shoot but its all the little tangible that he don't do without the ball.
This team is DONE they need to trade Zion because BI is the one that kept the team afloat I meant honestly its hard to have a TEAM with a star player thats constantly out of shape and have P stars trolling him on social media he needs to be traded IMMEDIATELY cause Im sure other players are looking at that and wondering why they are being traded and on the bench and not him
It's crazy how much NBA fans enjoy hating on players even if they're the core of your organization. Both Zion and BI are incredible players but if they don't mesh then you should move on from one and hope for the best for them and appreciate what they brought you while they were there. All this hate is cringey ash
i know right?, the city of new orleans is seeing a 22% increase in revenue from the chicken wing industry from this one man, he brings more value than you think. i saw him carry a kroger bag with 3 whole fried chickens in the tunnel walk out fits once, dude was drippin in chicken grease
Definitely a fan base divided at this moment. I’m on the side of trading BI for some better fitting pieces around Zion. I want to see this team win a chip it just isn’t very realistic unless we get an owner that’s willing to go all in for one.
@@rollspikegaming7459 casual? 😂 man I been following this team since they came to New Orleans. You’re probably like 12 calling me a casual. You have no clue
@@user-k96. I want to trade BI to make a more complete roster that won’t be terrible if Zion goes out. Ingram is our biggest asset. Get real Ingram ain’t leading us to a chip
@@virginmaxthis year! And only because BI had a pretty much season ending injury down the last stretch where we dropped from 4th seed with BI to 7ths seed and in the playin without him. Name another season where zion played more games than anyone besides lonzo.
@@visno The season before this Brandon played 45 games. He has only played over 70 games one time. That was his rookie year. Thats not a knock to Brandon. Its the nba. Ja Morant misses time, Lamelo misses time, Kawhi Leonard, anthony davis, and even Joel embiid. I don't dislike Brandon Ingram. But in a league with Anthony edwards and Jokic you can't build a team around Brandon. So if you trade Zion, you have to trade BOTH guys. This is not a hot take bro.
@@patricklewis2199 I mean he also played more games than Dyson Daniels, And when Kira lewis was there, Zion played more than him, and even Matt Ryan. The team was also better at times without Ingram. Especially during that stretch right before he came back. There is a reason why Willy has to bench him bro. Wake up.
We need to drop Zion. Brandon at least tries. It's no secret that nobody wants to play in nola. Exactly why we should keep the guys who do. 3:40 Well, that and for people who we support to not come out talking crap about us after they leave. That would be cool.
They don’t play well together, they are actually putrid on the floor with one another. They have no choice, they know the second they trade Zion he’s gonna explode and they will look like fools. With Ingram we have seen what he’s got and he’s a solid player but not a franchise guy.
nah pelicans wouldnt, the city of new orleans is seeing a 22% increase in revenue from the chicken wing industry from this one man, he brings more value than you think. i saw him carry a kroger bag with 3 whole fried chickens in the tunnel walk out fits once, dude was drippin in chicken grease
Bring CJ off the bench start trey keep Ingram and get a rim protector athlete with size should have kept Hayes . Play Hawkins more and run plays for trey let both Ingram and Zion create off each other and they'll smoke everyone
They should sign and trade Bi instead of letting him go in free agency for nothing they need trade CJ his playoff chocker he only can show up 2 game series
