My go to bait in the fall for redfish is a paddle tail bait. But in this video we are fishing with the ZMan scented jerk shadz and the redfish eat them up!

I just got some Z Man jerk shads today to try around the Chesapeake Bay. They're pink and yellow, nuclear chicken I think is the color. I'm going to try them for flounder, redfish and trout. Probably in a couple hours.

Do those gloves serve a purpose? Ive seen some anglers wearing them but I don't understand the purpose of them. Thanks!

I wear fishing gloves for protection. There are several reasons why I wear them. Number one reason is when fishing in the marsh...biting gnats and mosquitos. The bugs can get really bad at times. In addition for protection against the bugs, I bring a neck gaiter, and a long sleeve fishing type shirt. Also, it's protection from long exposure to the sun. You don't have to put sunscreen or bug spray on your hands. That way the chemicals from it won't transfer to your reel, line, or bait. Another benefit from wearing fishing gloves is being able to tie knots without worrying about slicing your hands if using braided line. Hope that answers your question. Tight lines!

Bug repellent and sunscreen are both very bad on your bait, fish are absolutely repelled by those scents. So you don't want either of them on your hands while you're fishin' .
