I just thought omitting/ignoring lake herman road was a bit puzzling, i know the movie was long but it would have only been a 2 to 3 minute scene perhaps starting with faraday and jenson saying goodbye to her parents, theyll be back by 10pm, etc. leaving her house and making their way to the lake herman road site. They could have included that scene and cut out a few insignifcant minutes elsewhere in the movie. All in all though, it was very well done.

Also when Toschi and detectives were at the crime scene of the Stines murder, everything around them was CGI, that one was made prefectly.

It's a genre thing. We know something is going to happen, as viewers, so we assume everyone in the movie is aware of that. The guy felt something was wrong, but everything happened too fast. Also, I guess those were different times. The whole serial killer panic wasn't in the air. People weren't expecting someone to just shoot them out of nowhere.

She recognized it was Arthur Leigh Allen’s car. She was worried of him which is why she was even more scared when she saw the car later. The movie is obviously pushing the narrative the the Zodiac Killer was Lee, but I’m still puzzled to who it is.

Jhin in a nutshell

The whole film is spectacular, in particular the visuals. Bringing that time and place to life so seamlessly you hardly notice it is amazing. I was here (well, San Jose at least) during this time, remember it well and all the panic and fascination among the population, and I could feel myself slipping back to when I was a 12 year old kid almost immediately. The film is packed with CGI, but mostly you never notice it. For example, all the blood and bullet hits in this scene are 100% computer generated. Gives the production total control over how it looks, and allows for faster setup when doing re-takes since there's no clean-up and reapplication of makeup effects needed. And the top-down following of the cab through streets and past buildings that no longer exist is mind-bending.

It’s sad but true. She ignored practically every suggestion he made to from what I notice and in the end his suggestions could’ve saved them both. 😩

Because at 1:13 she spots the car that eventually followed them to the scene of the crime. She knew who the driver was and was creeped out by him. If you look closely during that scene you'll spot the car and notice how nervous she becomes when checking her rear view mirrors. That's why she suggested they go somewhere else. Mike even mentions that he "saw that car at Mr. Ed's".

You aren’t going to call the police if someone is just anti social. So it does happen at times but it’s very difficult to stop these people planning violence. I think they get a thrill out of the thought of not being caught and a sense of power. While others enjoy the attention they get from the press as was the case with the Zodiac. Even if they get caught they are satisfied because they get to be in the history books so to speak. In other words they are egotistical attention seekers and for them murder is like a “get famous quick” method.
