I just watched jarhead again I completely forgot Well, not completely forgot. Just didn’t remember it until I saw it again. about this scene I think it’s only my third time watching the movie I don’t think I’ll forget it again though I got real sad even almost with tears almost comming out I’ve been educating myself on war for around the last 3 years and when I first watched jarhead I was like why did this guy just get on the bus and do that. I don’t know if I thought he was crazy, well, of course I thought was something wrong with him but I looked it up right after the movie ended and then I understood cause I was educating myself on Vietnam around the time and how the veterans got treated when they came back😢 and it’s like this watch the scene I almost shed a tear😔
The descendants of the Watchers are living Amongst us. Some abandoned their mission. Some continue the mission The Watchers in the beginning made an oath on.
2:40 "I put no stock in Religion, by the word Religion I seen the lunacy of fanatics on every denomination called the will of God. I have seen too much Religion In the eyes of many murderers. Holiness is in right action and courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves and goodness. What God desires is in the Mind and in the heart and what you decide everyday you will be a goodman or not." This lines are very timely on what is happening today.
is the wagon in the beginning John Adams helps pull up a early Fire Engine? if so, why would they bring a fire engine? Why was John Adams getting water as well?
Holy shit... He was also a "Tunnel rat"... That was one of the most dangerous jobs in the Vietnam war, it was their job to clear out Vietcong tunnels with explosives, and facing other Vietcong soldiers in those cramped tunnels, it had a very high fatality rate compared to regular soldiers since tunnels could collapse under you, or being killed with poisonous snakes Vietcong soldiers put in there on purpose or even poison gas traps too, there aren't many tunnel rat vet's alive today because how often they'd be killed.
“Spoiler” Baker has seen ghost anomalous ghost it’s what all veterans experienced 3 Germans are deceased germans spirits who were killed by Baker they lash their anger out pointing their guns making Baker retaliate raising his and shot Hartsock was shocked to see Matt on ground firing his 1911 at nothing but a big bomb that is hanging on the ceiling dome rail too bad it didn’t need land on him and death saved him knowing he wasn’t ready as he’s still have more souls to kill a living death that touches around him even his 1911
The saddest scene in this entire movie was this one. It echoed the pain that hundreds of thousands Americans Vietnam vets had. I saw a Vietnam vet in a store that I came up to and simply said "Thank you for your service." He didn't even look my way and said "Thank you" in a soft whisper. I think the war and the welcome home they received destroyed their image of everything.
There’s not been a piece of music, before or since I listened to this as a kid, that reminds me so much of the war, and the horrors those men must have faced and endured! Victory, defeat, and everything in between, and this piece delivers that! It’s what it is designed to do obviously, and it does it perfectly! It’s an amazingly visceral piece of music ❤️
The least from this scene is that you are not safe outside in any vehicle ever. So just limit going in cars. Random lunatics can show up for no reason. I was waiting for a left turn light to come on at an intersection when a guy was barreling across the right side and crossed my car giving me the finger! For no reason whatsoever! I was surprised as I never saw this jerk before and he didn’t know me but he felt he had to express his hostility to a stranger. Those kind of people are out there these day. Basically lunatics. Then one guy flashed a gun at my father who was in the passenger side. Out of the blue. Again no rhyme or reason to any of this behavior. He just felt like it! So good luck out there! It’s best to not go out anymore unless you must. I no longer do. And forget about going to public parks or near a river or lake outside anymore. It takes less than a minute fir someone to roll up on you in a bike or car and ruin your life. Forget it! 😮
What a brilliant actor David Thewlis is. Always liked him. Now watch him play the most disgusting character you've ever seen in the Fargo series (2 or 3 I can't remember). But I have to believe the mans true nature is far closer to what you see here in Kingdom of Heaven.
