Just built this and I love it! I am a bit disappointed that they didnt include the guns as they did in the series and even in the box. This was used so many times in the show I lost count lol
Yeah, you know, I always hated the way the toys had fewer and fewer guns as time progressed, to the point where in Genesis they actually switched almost entirely to bladed weapons - and at the same time they were always shown with additional guns in the anime, at least through CC. Never made any sense to me.
@@spacehamsterZH I sort of still sent to ask the makers in kotobukiya why this was done honestly, I never saw the pile driver in the anime but the guns for the grunt suit was common.
@@panzershuriken6590 I guess it's a question of whether you think of the HMMs as being based on the toys or on the anime. I think Kotobukiya never entirely made up their minds about that. Although given the color of the Rev Raptor's canopy, I guess they were basing this one more on the toy than the anime.
This is an impressive piece of plastic engineering,it looks very well designed and didn't fall to pieces when you posed the kit,there's a lot to like here,bud.✌👍

I like how theres no polycaps in this. I think this might be the first HMM with no polycaps and I'm all for it. I know Bandai has been moving away from polycaps for a while now and its nice to see Kotobukiya follow suit. I guess PC's as a whole will probably stop being used in kits in the coming years, they are kinda dated by today's standards. Also I think you're on to somthing about an Anime color variant on the horizon. My Berserk Furher repackage and my Liger Zero Marking plus had those type of pilots, replacing the pre-painted pilots. So I think a reverse could happen where the Rev Raptor gets a painted pilot. I don't really know who since nobody important really piloted them. But it would be funny to get a little Van for that episode where he hijacked one
Ah ok, thanks - now that you mention it, I haven't built any of the repackage versions, so maybe that's why I wasn't familiar with this type of pilot figure. Although the ones I was talking about look the same, but they come unpainted and on sprues. I'd honestly have to go back and check all of my kits (and on the painted ones, I'm scared to pry open the cockpits), but I'm pretty sure most of them didn't come with the fully painted pilots. Off the top of my head, the only one I remember having one is the Dibison. Anyway, I agree about the polycaps. The Cannontortoise actually doesn't have them either, but from what I remember, it didn't have ABS joint parts to replace them. It definitely seems to be the way of the future because molding precision is improving, and the polycaps on the older Koto kits tended to be problematic. Most of the ones holding the legs on my Death Stinger have cracked because they were under too much stress. I won't miss that problem for a second.
For me: if it's not a moving zoid, it's not a real zoid. I hope that the moving zoids franchise will continue to be produced for years to come, becouse this is one of the best toy franchise of all time. I used to have a dozen 80's zoids, but sold them when I was supposed to do so when growing up, I still miss them. I have since then never looked at zoids again until recently, and bought 12 zoids wild toys that you have so well reviewed, so thanks for reintroducing me to zoids, you are the best zoids reviewer out there, and I will let the ad's run.

Well... on the one hand, I do love Seismosaurus, on the other hand, the Tomy model is already so detailed that I don't see how an HMM would add anything to it. Well, except get rid of those ugly Blox pegholes, I guess.
Nice little model! Would you say it is more worthy of the HMM moniker than their previous Zoids Wild 'HMM' release of the rather lazy Liger kit? As for not painting your Genosaur, I've only painted 7 of my HMM kits! LOL, the biggest project being converting the Iron Kong Puroitsuen Knight into an Iron Kong Schwartz with a custom giant Gatling gun etc.. the large backpack actually ended up repainted and on my custom painted copper/bronze Krark that looks pretty good actually (the combo that is). I think HMM Kong Schwartz kits wee twice the price of the Puroitsuen at the time.
Well, there's always been a bit of a range in terms of complexity with the HMM kits in terms of their overall complexity and engineering, but I'd say this very much looks and feels like the Godos and Iguan kits. It's clearly *based on* the Tomy model, but it has a ton of added detail that sort of takes things the Tomy version only hints at and fully realizes them. The Wild Liger kit doesn't really do that, it looks almost the same, just with poseable limbs instead of a motor. Also, the reason I made that comment about the GS not being painted is just that it's from a time when I didn't paint my kits at all. I don't build any HMMs anymore unless I'm doing a full paintjob, so it's a bit awkward showing something off from 10 years ago when I was just glad to be able to do a full snap build... times change, y'know. Always wanting to paint everything is also the reason I'm sitting on every single variant of the Iron Kong, all unpainted in boxes, and I have no idea when I'll ever get around to them, so I'm pretty impressed you finished yours.
