Version 2 has so much personality, version 1 has just...zombies walking about and clips of episode 1.

I love op 2 better, but I kinda miss how the og ended, watching the mc running away from the zombies with a full smile on his face was so charming to me

It's so cool seeing how the 1st one conveys his relief and fighting for what he wants, whereas the 2nd one conveys his enjoyment and making the most of what he has in front of him!

I can appreciate the choice of scenes to sync with the opening for the first episode (and others up to episode 8). But episode 9 onwards just feels so much more complete and elevated to the next level with the choreography!

Considering how often this anime has been delayed, im honestly wondering if the second version was supposed to be the true opening but they didn't have enough time to make it.

Version 1 was great, but version 2 is a billion times better! It’s so fun with personality. And I love seeing the zombies dance like it’s Thriller. I really hope they finish the season. I LOVE THIS SHOW!

I love the goofiness of the second op, but I also feel like OP 1 plays into how nuts Akira seems at first, which was what drew me personally into the show.

only thing I really miss is the sequence from 0:54 to 0:58. tell me that doesn't convey the premise and feel of the show perfectly in only 4 seconds. and the sync is near perfect considering the animation wasn't made with the song in mind like it usually is for an OP.

It speaks to the talents of the staff that they could make carefully made clips into what I genuinely thought was the real opening. But knowing that the staff just didn't have the OP ready before it was time to air was concerning to learn

0:40 The drop in the first episode is super iconic, even though they are recycled scenes I definitely like it better.

Really sucks that this anime is on indefinite hiatus, it was maybe the best anime last season so I'm sad to see it might not be finished for a good while

I showed my dad the show and he kept commenting on how dumb of decisions they were making. But the show is more about how you spend your life when you realize your mortality. It’s just in the most over the top, comedic way possible. I just really appreciate Akira’s unwavering pursuit of his own happiness. It’s a goofy show, but somehow it really resonates.

I love both intros but I do prefer the first one. People think zombies walking around and paint behind splashed on the background is boring but if you did pay attention, that scene shows the different types of zombies. Slow, aggressive, fast etc. The second version did made me laugh. It’s just so funny and I do love the dancing parts as well as when the zombies were using their phones on the train. For the ending, I prefer the first version. It shows the zombies chasing him and he’s happy. Even if it is a crisis, he finally has a break from work and is finally free. It shows how happy he is even though there’s a zombie apocalypse and it’s the kind of anime I’ve been wanting to see. I’m glad this exist and I give my thanks to the company that decided to make this master piece into an anime.

New one is so much better, I love this song but i've always been tempted to skip just because there's literally like 0 interesting animation for the first minute and then random clips from the last episode

Eu ouvi dizer que a primeira versão é imcompleta, mas para mim, não é assim. Já que a primeira versão mostra algumas coisas, mas não te dão spoiler. E a segunda versão mostra tudo, como se fosse uma abertura de anime normal, mas no episódio que ela aparece, já sabemos de praticamente tudo que podia ser spoiler. Então alguns podem dizer que isso é uma falha. Mas para mim, ISSO É UMA MARAVILHA!!

Anybody think version 1 is basically a "rushed" version? It's simpler. It has less differenct scenes and actually uses animation from episode 1. It seems like they are aiming to use version 2 since the beginning but didnt have enough time so they made the version 1 as a "lite" version to be used until they can finish version 2. This makes me think that there's supposed to be the "actual" version 2 or updated version of the OP as the anime progres

Personal opinion but I like Op 1 more then 2 because it feels like this will be a nostalgic song for me later on. Even though its not like Op 2 with as much personality is still prefer it over the other 2ed one.

Both the versions are good and are made for the anime watcher as the op1 hides the 3 characters as a suspense and the op 2 greatly shows them all enjoying as the characters are already been introduced im lokking forward to seeing Season 2

I love the new opening! The truth is that the first one was quite... repetitive at times, because they only played some clips from chapter 1 and zombies walking or running. But the second opening has a lot of personality and goes with the song. I thought it was fascinating that they put the phrase "Memento mori" remember that you will die. It goes a lot with the theme of the series :D

tbh they did a good move for ver 1 because they made it spoiler proof (like revealing the rest of the cast aand stuff) it was only until ep 9 (where we know a lot of the cast at this point ) that they decided to let loose with their creativity.

I charted my top 100 anime openings and figured a friggin Kana Boon song is number 1 :D this song is so mesmerizing and the second version is the most perfect opening! the vibe, the dancing, the performance, just perfection

Considering all of the production issues this serries had, My guess is version 2 is the OP we shouldve gotten from the beginning, but they ran out of time so had to bash something together quickly, which is why OP1 is mostly clips.

Was it just me, or did the first 3-4 (or more) episodes have slightly different openings? That is, it’s like different clips... In the third episode of the opening, I remember how Akira and Kenichiro took off on a motorcycle, there was an explosion behind them... Right?

Both are GREAT on their own. The first Version is just a recap about the previous episode- but I love, how Akira is happily running away from them. The second Version is a masterpiece, it has personality. Its like, the Series was growing up and at Episode 9, its finally done 😂 I love this Anime so gawd damn much, it hurts❤😂

I still don't like Version 2, I liked watching scenes from the previous episodes in the OP every week, also, the coreography of the V2 dance kinda sucks for me, I don't really like it

Version 2 is a sublime call for help of the animators, it has this we should stand together and unite hence zombies and the main characters dancing side by side! animation artist are being overworked and underpaid and the studio and Muse Asia channel is just swimming in their unearned easy revenues/money from the videos being post here on youtube while Animators are working to the bone without a penny earned from those posted by these independent publishing channel that should be removed!
