I had bought the base Zombicide because the box had been crushed so I got it cheap. I never liked the shooting rules and the fiddly survivor cards. When I saw the dashboards for Black Plaque I backed it. I knew they would have the rules polished for this set. Happy to have it. Thanks for the great review, Nick.
I house rule still for the ranged attacks with your buddies in melee. If your ranged attack into melee totally misses your buddy gets hit. If you hit and kill any zombies with your buddy in the area any misses don't hit your buddy. I adopt the RPG stance of that 1st hit is a sucess and any extra hits are upgrading that damage to the enemy, any misses after the 1st hit don't boost the damage but have no negative effect on your buddy.
I just bought Black Plague, and am painting the heroes and necromancer. Great review, thanks for the insight. Do you think Zombiecide will get an "update" to be more inline with BP?
Really good reviews, especially when I scoured the multitude ZBP reviews to find a good one which gave a clear picture of what to expect. Aaaaand I ordered it 😁 My first zombicide / sandbox style / dungeon crawl!
I have a question regarding the board "spaces". Look at the board at 15:08. See the spawn point at the bottom of the board? Is that long corridor where the doors are considered one or two different tiles?
There's still one thing that i hate in Zombicide... sometime yoiu have to wait for the good equipment card just to go further(ie : scenario 0, if you don't have 2 damage weapon, you have to search till you get one in order to fight fatties...i would have love that 2 weapons used together at the same time could do that... because i can have 2 weapon that makes 6 hits and because they only are 1 damge each, the fattie, can't be hurt...maybe it would be cool to add 1 damage but with fewer dices or all the dices but with normal damages...i didn't like the first zombicide, but i love this one because of the medfan theme.
+Laurent Gitton You always start with a hammer as 1 of the 6 starting equipment so at least one survivor will be able to kill fatties from the start of any scenario.
Sweet review! The KS stuff looks interesting too (like the archer zombies, the wolves, and the crows) Also, sweet Fallout 4 shirt--representing the game even though you do not play it? (I'm assuming you don't) Wow, dedication!
I'm frustrated that I can't seem to find anywhere on the internet on how to adapt the rules from Black Plague into the original Zombicide. Can anyone tell me if there's news or material about that anywhere?
