Super strength only works with melee. The orcish weapons have two modes, ranged and melee.

"Bastard" refers to any child born out of wedlock. It's not a "king's child" lol.

Not a Big Fan of the Zombie theme, but if they combine this with Pirates at some point, I might get it. I just want to see a Zombie Kraken Abomination.

Got Green Horde cause the family likes fantasy but not zombies. Was hoping the theme would help get them to play. Finally willing, but found out it’s just harder so people use a Black Plague variant. Anyone know what that is or where to find it?

This is so awesome to see uploaded! I just recently started getting into Zombicide BP after owning it for a little over a year and I've been curious to see if your opinion still stood about the game. Glad it is! Do you still prefer Cthulu DMD > Zombicide BP? (I also recently made that purchase because of your videos LOL)

Line of sight inside buildings is limited to a single zone. Needless to say, many mistakes were made regarding that rule alone 😅. Still love the video though.

I own Black Plague, knight pledge and I'm curious if I need to buy any more expansions to get the most out of the game. I can't get hold of the deadeye walkers, but I could get Green horde, or it's expansions, any thoughts?

Anything I missed? 1. Max number of necromancers limited by XP level (1 for blue, 2 for yellow, etc.). Same for abominations. 2. With 3 players, each player chooses 2 of 4 randomly chosen characters 3. When a Necromancer or Abomination spawns, roll: 1-3 for a regular, 4-6 for a special

Do you guys normally ignore line of sight through buildings? Normally you can only see into the adjacent zone within buildings.

Just finished watching the whole gameplay... Xuxa only went 3 times at the end instead of 4... Meaning you would have push Marcus forward, the abomination would have taken out a bite twice onto xuxa. meaning you seem to have survived :) Fun gameplay though ;)

It wasn't easy to tell what they were killing and what weapon they were using, but I'm not sure they were following targeting priority.

A few questions if you will indulge me. 1.) Is the randomization of characters and/ starting equipment the way you are supposed to play or just one way of doing things? With the base game we just drafted our characters and then selected equipment that went well with each person. With some extra characters now, we have started randomly selecting characters, but still optimize starting weapons. Is there an official way to do this? 2.) When I was reading about the 1st player token it seemed like it switches from player to player rather than character to character, and so we have been changing who starts things off and then alternating through players and each player chooses the order they activate THEIR characters along the way. Have we been playing this improperly? Or is this an area that is up to interpretation and choosing how you play it? (yes I know you can always play how yo want technically, but was wondering if there is an official rule here). 3.) How do you handle double spawns that come back around to the 1st spawn? It would seem to me that there was not going to be an original spawn anyway, so you would only draw one (I don't remember how you handled those (if it came up) in the video. Also, how do they stack? Do they just increase the number of spawns by 1, or by 2, or does the number double? Double spawns have been confusing us a little bit beyond the original spawn an extra card in the next area (as they compound and as they wrap around). Thanks!

Alex great video as always, can you recommend essentials upgrade / expansions for black plague (i recently got it after seen your video play this not that of black plague vs second edition) and after seeing the gameplay with expansion i have the hunger for more zombie variability :)

Hope this finds you as I know you're a bit of an expert on the series. Found myself really wanting to add ONE Zombicide version to my collection. I obviously missed all the kickstarters so my best bet is picking up a retail edition of some sort. If you were looking at ONLY the content available at retail now, would you still say Black Plague is the go-to best version period (not interested in Marvel Zombies at all).

I take it that you are using non standard starting equipment for Black Plague considering you didnt roll to open the doors at the start? Have you mixed starting equipment from Black Plague and Green Horde together? Just wanting to clarify, as doors are usually frustrating in Black Plague, and it may be good for people who are looking to pick up the base game to know which characters and gear they get in the base game. I really like the fantasy theme, but I think BP really benefits from the expansions and add ons to improve the gameplay

another good video, and I find myself agreeing with Jessie, I see that Zombicide is good but it doesn't quite draw me in, we have night of the living dead which is fun but perhaps too easy, but mainstream zombicide seems to often end with an unavoidable random whimper which makes you wonder if the previous 2 hours of play was really worth it...

Pretty sure Bloodlust can be used more than once per turn.

I'm curious about the house rule you have for abominations. I have started to get into this game lately, and definitely felt like when adding in all the extra abominations, a house rule should be in play since it can get ridiculous otherwise. You said when you pull a regular abomination card, you roll the die to decide if it is a standard or not. In the case where you roll a 4-6, do you just choose which "super abomination" you put onto the board or do you do something else? Last night we decided to just house rule extra abominations as more of a "boss" that had 4-6 HP depending on our levels, and we really enjoyed that.

Boardgameco - will you be running through a game of Invader with Shiera and Jesse, to see if that may suit them more? The streamlining and addition of concentrated attack may make a difference, and possibly tip the quack towards the franchise? I understand it isnt your favourite, but they all appeal slightly differently to us gamers. (Just dont deliberately pick a bad mission :-) ) And I seem to recall a video where Shiera said she hadn't played invader yet.

Love the game. I made and print out some OP equipment cards. The game is so much fun with custom cards. Someone should make a data base to create custom cards for all.

I got 2nd Edition ( i dont know what there sudden obsession with kids is) and its two expansions, and tbh id swap it all for Black Plague etc

I like bp but prefer invader. As light as the game is I find Invader moves at a better pace.

Super strength just breaks the game and usually house-ruled out. It's also better to spawn zombies from the most inner rooms first (especially if you added deadeye walkers) Good playthrough overall.

Black Plague rules don't say that the game ends just because someone died. Did you get that rule from an expansion, or that's a house rule?

i dont want to be that guy but... ummm actually in the first turn ann could not have rushed the zombie since you need line of sight to the zombie and within buildings you can only see into the next room

Hey Alex! Was it just me or did you cheat in round two by taking four actions instead of three with your survivor, the one who traded after having already had three other actions? I think that's what I saw. If so, gotta keep my eye on you. LOL!

Does this quackalope know that there is another, unbearded, quackalope that is impersonating him??? And does he also know that he has a companion that looks just like Shiera (i before e except after c!) with that impersonator??? This cannot stand!!!!
