We've reached the finale of the solo playthrough of Zombicide: Undead or Alive created by Raphaël Guiton, Jean-Baptiste Lullien, Nicolas Raoult with art by Édouard Guiton, Giorgia Lanza and published by CMON! In this video our posse attempts to collect the final bounty weapons, rid the town of the undead and hopefully hitch a ride on a passing train in Mission 1: The Bandwagon. Can they pull it off? Let's find out! Hope you enjoyed the series and keep on rolling solo. ;D Intro 0:00 Overview 0:28 Finale Gameplay 1:06 Conclusion 49:06 Patreon Rolling Solo Producers 52:08 ""There’s plenty of things to test a person’s mettle out in the harsh Western territories. There are cattle rustlers trying to steal your stock. There are bandits looking to rob the 10:13 to Yuma. There’s all manner of critters and a desert environment looking to deal you the death card. Now, the recently-dead have started rising from prairie graves to assault the living. This town is turning into cowpies. Zombicide: Undead or Alive brings the Zombie-blasting action to an all-new era and location, bringing players to the middle of the mythical Old West. There’s new Survivor types like the Gunslinger, Brawler, Townsfolk, and Faithful, each with their own, unique rules. Then, of course, there’s plenty of Zombies to destroy. New game mechanics like Balconies and the Train will test players in new ways." *Media Inquiries: rollingsologamer@gmail.com* *Want to support the channel? Awesome gameplay video. Really enjoyed this. Plus it's helped me make my mind up on which Zombicide to get. Was debating between this and originally 2nd Edition, but with the noise mechanism and for me the theme it's going to be this one. Many thanks. 👍🏻
This playthrough helped me out so much. I’ve been playing this with my sons and this level was SOOOO hard for us. We finally beat it tonight. Our problem was our desire to play with “cool” characters. We were all gunslingers so no multiple searches, none had a plus damage so no way to kill abominations outside dynamite. Did I mention no multiple searches😂. No water as holy water. I know I know rookies! We pulled it off after 4 tries but made it WAY harder than it needed to be. It was good to see the importance of character variety
Ah yes! It’s a tough one and you need to leverage the different character types to your advantage. I know the pull to play the cool characters is strong haha Building out a well rounded posse is huge. Glad you enjoyed the playthrough! I had a lot of fun doing it 🔥
Fantastic finish! Undead or Alive is my first Zombicide and we're going to try our first game tomorrow (with me as the teacher 😳). Your explanations are clear and thorough and the camerawork isexcellent too. I really appreciate your videos! THANKS
Having picked up this earlier this week and finally getting M1 played, got to watch without spoiling myself. Noticed that for the Ape Abomination, you didn't flip the Abomination Spawn token to its active side when it showed up, unlike the Bull Abomination later on.
When I backed this, I wasn’t sure I would keep it. After playing, I decided to sell off zombicide 2nd Ed and keep this and black plague. I love how difficult undead or alive is. One caveat is that I feel like you need more than the base game abomination to make this game shine. I went all in on the Kickstarter, so that’s not an issue. The abominations come out so often, that it’s nice to have variety with all of those special attacks/rules.
Glad you liked it so much! I agree, getting a few more abominations than the one in the core is nice. There are expansions that can help with this at retail too. Otherwise it’s a great package.
@@RollingSolo One of my FLGS has the base game and will include Dead West at no extra cost. I think I'm going to grab it after watching this playthrough. With this and Black Plague (plus the Thundercats) I am set. :D
I think you should of rolled (5 dice) then (6) dice with the Gatling Gun from shooting it 4 turns in a row. Turn 1 : 3 Dice Turn 2 : 4 Dice Turn 3 : 5 Dice Turn 4 : 6 Dice
Not sure on that. I don’t believe it increases endlessly. I believe it’s increases by one for subsequent actions. Would love to see that clarified in an FAQ because it could see it going either way honestly. haha
@@RollingSolo Escalation: [Action] - The Survivor gains 1 extra die to roll for subsequent Actions of the specified type (Combat, Melee, or Ranged). The bonus is cumulative and applies until the end of the Survivor’s Turn. The bonus is lost whenever the Survivor performs another kind of Action. The "This Bonus is Cumulative" part is what makes me think it keeps going. But yes, they need to clarify this.
Not turns...actions. 1st action of the char base dice of gatling gun which is 3 - 2nd action if still shooting 4 dice - 3rd action if still shooting 5 dice - 4th acting if still shooting 6 dice. It goes back to the basic dice of 3 if you not fire continuously for example trade a weapon after fire two times and then fire again it resets. It also resets on the following turn, it starts with the basic dice of 3 again. I think the rules at least for me is clear in this point. So the maximum number of dice is 6 with 4 actions, or can go up to 7 or even higher for bonus ranged attacks.
On camera and with explanations it’s longer. I take what the book says with a grain of salt. It’s typically off unless you’re playing in speed run mode haha
