One of my favorite easter eggs in this movie is at the supermarket. They're so distracted by killing zombies and meeting the girls that they walk right past some Twinkies on a shelf.

My favorite part that I figured out was when Columbus writes down “Enjoy the little things” it’s the next number after “Check the back seat”…which would imply that he wrote *that* one down immediately after the opening sequence when he has a zombie in the back seat.

The Bill Murray part was originally written for Sylvester Stallone but he dropped out just as we were beginning to shoot. The script was rewritten with several other actors in the role, including Mathew McConaughey, but they all, eventually, declined. Finally, as we were shooting and between set-ups, Woody called up an old buddy who was in town (Atlanta) shooting another movie (Get Low). While we all eavesdropped on the conversation, Bill Murray said yes and a few days later we shot his scenes.

The original script actually read pretty good. Stallone came out in his Rocky robe and got shot. But everything actually turned out better with Murray.@@pvanukoff

The year this movie was released, I was 16. That summer I took a solo road trip to my uncle's. We spent the whole summer rebuilding my car, engine swap and a whole lot of other stuff, the whole time quoting this movie endlessly. It was awesome. Still have the car too.

a really great, BALANCED movie... little scary, lotta funny, has heart too. really good "horror" movie for people who don't like horror movies. and REALLY cleverly shot. i was really surprised.

I live near Hollywood Boulevard and TBH it doesn't look that much different even when it's not a zombie apocalypse, just more people. Great reaction to a fun film. I still need to see the sequel, actually.

For an amazingly hilarious and overlooked Woody Harrellson and Bill Murray movie may I suggest Kingpin. Made by the same brothers who made There's something about Mary, Dumb and Dumber and many other awesome comedies. Both of them are so gifted comedically and work so well together that it shows on screen. I'm guessing it's one of the reasons Bill said yes to this cameo

I consider this an American counterpart to "Shaun of the Dead." Both about survival of a society: after the zombie apocalypse, being British still means going down the pub for a pint, and being American still means guns, junk food, and vast geographic sprawl.

After watching this movie, I was still pissed at the girls for ruining 2 perfectly adequate vehicles! We don’t do that in today’s society so imagine how valuable it would be in Zombieland.

Hey Addie! Shout out from the US Marine Corps! Hey just watched your reaction to this movie you're absolutely right this one is so much fun! Bill Maher is such a good actor and I love how they added a little Ghostbuster humor into this. And I absolutely love the twists when the two girls totally set them up twice! Maybe The Skeleton Key?! It's not great but it's worth a watch and none of the high level reaction goddesses like you watch it! Anyways Keep up the great reactions!

Double tap is a real thing in the military. In a military context, a "double tap" refers to a military tactic in which a target is struck twice in quick succession, often used to maximize the chances of neutralizing the target. The legality of such tactics in warfare is governed by international humanitarian law, including the Geneva Conventions. Deliberate attacks on civilians or non-combatants are considered war crimes, and excessive or indiscriminate use of force can also be in violation of international law. To simplify, once someone is lying on the ground whether they're dead or alive. It is a military tactic/habit to shoot them again while in front you. It is only considered war crime after you go past that body and shoot it or shoot again. So the soldiers are to make sure they're shot dead before walking over or past the bodies on the ground. Again, soldiers are not doctors and chances of not making sure they're dead can cost them their lives like sneak/surprise attack on them cuz they didn't kill sweep them all first before doing anything else.

Running zombies were largely a result of 28 days later, after which they started showing up more in media.

There were running zombies before 28 Days Later. The difference that most people miss is the different causes of zombies. Originally, they were mind controlled living people of Voodoo. The first zombie movie kept to that. The second wave is when actual dead corpses were reanimated but it could have been for evil witchcraft/sorcery/demonic forces or new science gone mad (radiation scare). Some of them could run. If a limb, such as a hand, was removed from the body and it kept moving on it's own is a pretty good tell if the zombie was magical or science based. The third wave, that 28 days helped bring in, is based on viruses and it's debatable if the infected are fully dead or fully alive as sometimes a cure fixes everything.

Always weird how women ask if a zombie can drive when Woody Harrelson pulls up. Like yeah I get that different media semi-different rules for it's monsters (in this case, zombies in various media), but NO zombie is ever going be driving a car. Unless it's a friendly zombie in some Disney Halloween Town film or something. For the gender who is more likely to believe in witchcraft, magic crystals, tarot cards, astrology etc. They really don't know much about the supernatural. So it just stops at witchcraft, magic crystals, tarot cards and astrology? Not even mythology, folklore, fairytales, legends, religions (most mythologies WERE religions at some point in our human history), fables etc? And then how the sci/fi and supernatural kind of go hand in hand, that would partly be the astrology & crystals (but goes deeper than that) part of it. Alchemy is literally science & magic.

Now I know popcorn in bed hosted by Cassie. It's probably the most popular RU-vid channel to react to movies. But it feels like this October, so many of these RU-vid channels are copying her october menu. All the movies that she has reacted too,all these RU-vid channels seem to be Copying all the movies that she has reacted to this October.

Nah that's a stretch. Natalie Gold has more subs than her. Also there's only so many horror movies out there even worth reacting too that some of these reactors haven't watched already. There's more reactors doing movies like Evil Dead or Scream this year than Zombieland

Thank god this month is over. I cant stand an entire month of scary movies. Such a bias. No one watches an entire month of easter movies. Or christmas movies. Or St.Patties days flicks.
