I am !zone 8b central Texas. I like your garden and your videos. Not a fan of malabar. I will always have it because it seeds everywhere. My cucumbers are not doing well. Finally got one yesterday and it was bitter. My Silver Queen corn came out the best this year, although I didn't plant much. I tried Strawberry Popcorn and they were the size of strawberries and the kernels were not very filled out. I also tried Who Gets Kissed and was not impressed. I didn't have much luck with corn last year either, but I got one of those corn fungus delicacies, ewww! Biggest success this year was Cherokee Purple and a plot of pumpkins. Also I have a dwarf Anna apple and it produced some nice apples!

Hello neighbor! Thanks so much! I plan on pulling my cucumber plants and corn this weekend and capping my drip line to that bed. Ha ha on the corn smut…I’m not sure I could get into that either😝 My Cherokee purple didn’t produce much but I plan on cutting back and trying for a fall crop. I’d love to get a few fruit trees. The Central Texas Gardener channel had this amazing lady with 200 various fruit trees, shrubs, and vegetables all in pots in her yard. It looked like a very productive garden. Excited to hear that your apples have done well! How do you keep the bugs away from your apples?
