I used this as a school project in 6th grade. We had to make an animal habitat with two animals from the same biome. Everyone had glass boxes with toy animals except mine. I had a laptop and zoo tycoon 2😁
I remember playing the retail Zoo Tycoon 2, it was the best thing of my life. Eventually, I saved up for the expansion packs each time one came out and I have every single one of them still in their CD casings. Now I feel kind of sad and nostalgic since this game has so much sentimental value to me.
This game was literally my entire Childhood summed up in one video I literally left this game on for days just wanting to play more and more of it. Unfortunately since my more recent computers can’t play it I haven’t been able to play it in over five years
To recreate this you need to make a version with bigger space in each exhibit and the hippos and crocs are separated and there are fences and not rock walls
Ahh memories of trying to make a cool half cliff enclosure like in this intro. It never worked because it would not count as a proper exhibit. I can here the beeping from here.
When saw planet zoo i feel with joy it has the mechanic of zoo tycoon 2 and graphic are beautfull finally foritier make it prefect the one thing is missing is classic zoo tycoon 2 theme song
I love this game and I love this intro, But I'm a Zoo Tycoon 2-alogist and I can see there's some things wrong with it... 0:10 No way you could keep Hippos and Crocs in the same exhibit, they'd throw a fit and or kill each other xD 0:17 and throughout the whole intro animals don't move so smoothly in-game, But I totally understand their limitations considering this game is from 2005. 0:25 Tigers don't pounce like that in-game nor do they stalk like that other tiger is doing but I wish they did. Also let's not try to forget that almost every enclosure is too bloody small for any animal-game, they'd cry all day long about not having enough space XD 0:32 Synchronized penguins jumping in to water? wouldn't that be cool in-game. 0:36 Awww, snuggling pandas! how cute, although I'm pretty sure I've never seen this in-game... 0:43 Is it me or is this the only enclosure in this intro that continues into INFINITY? I mean just look into the background of that exhibit and tell me where it ends because I do not see it Lmao and also the trees seem really strange and 3d, like more 3d than they are in-game... weird lol
Those crocodiles and hippos may be semi-aquatic but imagine in real-life, both those carnivores and herbivores were too dangerous to each other. Their exhibit's water weren't separated by fences.
