I am a media student at UNI, been using this Zoom for over three years now, for the price it cant be beat, i have used it as a field recoder, on my Panasonic AG AC8 & 770, as well as on my Nikon D7100, with outstanding resaults. leona
great review. I bought a MXL V67i for sound quality. Do you think it is wise to use separate mic for singing and recording ? or this Zoom H2N will meet the purpose of quality sound and recording as well. Again very quick and clear demonstration. I will wait to hear form you. Tks Dennis
Good video, really liked the noticable difference between cam mic and zoom seems deep in rich. Curious about how would sound between two people sitting next to each other and with a end-table in-between the two??? Also does lapel mic cut off the sound of the zoom mic? Thanks
Brilliant review. Please let me know where you got the tripod/handle from. I have seen some similar ones on eBay - but one seller told me I would not be able to pull the three legs together as you have done.
Quick one, when u plug the mic on your Dslr, and you plug in the line out cable from the Dslr to the mic. Do you press the record button on the mic aswell.
***** Thanks, I did download it, I would just say be careful and get it from the source as I ended up with some Optimezer Pro (which scanned my computer totally, even when I stopped it) andeven though I opted out for having it at this source "Software Watcher" thanks
I accidentally hold this sticker into the camera. Can everyone see it? It is juste very very accidentally! It ist the best retailer on whole ebay, but I just say that by the way. Do you see the sticker very well?
Recently i got Hn2 when i start recording on XY I get clear sounds but when i record on MS or 2ch or 4 ch records not clear statics not sure if something is wrong or something to do with the set up that i can't figure out Thanks
i have a zoom and im getting ready to film a documentary, at what level should the feddback headphone volume be at?? also how do i remove background noise? like faint tv or cars wind the "*whoooosh"
There is no right level, experiment a lot, get to know the equipment, then allways have two sources, never reley on a single line for audio unless you have no option. What is the enviroment ? you will need a total diff aproach if your say recording in an office to a kennel in the dog pound, in general if your new, stick with 2 separate chanels, so you can ajust the levels as needed, when you start to use 4 chanels thing start to get a lot more complicated. Hope this helps leona
H John, can the software be installed on windows XP? Can i use it without software? I dont like registrating online and that kind a stuff. So is it plug and play or you have to install software
What quality settings would you advice me on for recording my punk rock band in a live concert? Need it then to burn on to a CD, that's if it isn't too complicated, Many thanks.
I purchased this since it has LINE-IN function, not as an external mic I need it for recording from a stereo system. The result is horrible. Too loud to begin with. I am sure there are some 'settings' that I have not managed properly. Please help. Thanks. I will be watching.
Kenzo NakamuraWhat...? Its hardly loud on my Zoom H2n, but i guess its maybe thanks to me most of the time setting the Mic Gain weel at lowest. Try it out yourself.
Or maybe the source from what you want to record from is to loud. Otherwise, you must have done some wierd choices in the settings (Auto gain on and limiter on).
yeah... you will need 2 things... 1) Google "Hot Shoe Adapter" to attach the microphone to the DSLR, and 2) a Male-to-Male 3.5mm cable (try to get a short one) to go from the audio-out of the microphone to the audio-in on the DSLR... also, see this video on RU-vid /watch?v=RJNxRMgPfP4&list=PL264B14E2CE173FF6&index=55
