Good friend of mine that I met in 1984 in Clarksville TN when I was stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky this song remind me of her, we dated, she went to England I went back home to NC, 35 years later the moon turn in our favor and we reconnect, it was beautiful! She told me last night the doctor is giving her less than a year, she has cancer, mess my head up bad! This song makes my heart feel at ease just a little bit😢 You will forever be in my heart!
I know the feeling Bro!! People thought I was crazy, continually asking about and trying to sing the melody to this song to them!!! 22 years went by and while at a friends house one night, they decided to pull out their "Quiet Storm" playlist and this was the FIRST SONG that played!!! After they were able to calm me down and stop my tears, they continued to play the song, clapping their hands knowing of my plight and finally finding a long lost friend.
I remember hearing this song when I was a kid. As I got older I could only remember a small part which was 'like spring, fall, and winter'. I couldn't remember nothing else. I don't know how I managed to find the whole song and when I did I swallowed so much air I choked for a minute...To keep from forgetting this song again it's now in my favorites list.
That beautiful voice of Nolan Semco is now singing in heaven. He passed away a few months ago. I remembered him when he performed with another group in the 70's. One beautiful voice. RIP Dr. Semco.
Classic Zoom! My Jam here! Played this one endlessly! My Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter, our loves begun to change. .. . A Quiet Storm, WHUR, 96.3, Washington, DC Classic! Much Love!
Whenever I hear this song I picture myself in a hammock having a tall glass of natural fruit punch listening to this song under a cool shade tree in the tropics ..I love the whistling n the beat mmm!!!
This song would take me on a soul journey as a child. I could literally see all the seasons while this beautiful song played on the radio. I always felt hope at the very last line about spring lying just ahead. It's still a beautiful ethereal otherworldly song! Very much a favorite of mine to this day!!
Always loved this back in the early '80s. I remember being in a small town club in NE Ohio, and a local group performed this song. Those cuntry 'bamas didn't have a full band, and one of the vocalists whistled the synthesizer part. I thought, well I done heard it all now--except they sounded real smooth! Great grove, unusually strong lyrics that I appreciate more and more as the years pass. I think of my wife who we lost 2 years ago, and we lived every note and word of this song. Birth, Joy, Wonder, Renewal. Like this music, love is eternal.
Delicate and red as a flower blooming in a winter snow, ... Like spring summer fall and winter, our loves begun to change. Like spring summer fall and winter, love never stays the same.
I think I heard Ann Tripp the white news lady from 107.5 wbls select this song as 1of her favorites ,what a selection I hope everyone realizes what a gem this song is
I remember this song back in the early 80's as a young child. It was one of my favorite songs growing up, and it has such a very sweet molody that's worth noting!!

This Song is one of the Jams that EZ Mood for Love used to play back in the day and it still is SO Pretty. The kids nowadays do not understand that this ERA of Love songs will never come again. Big Ups and Props to the RAREGROOVEMAN

I first heard this in 1997 on WHUR 96.5 Howard University Radio in Washington D.C. I was dating this beautiful West African lady. Wonderful song. Wonderful times. Too bad it didn't work out. Thank you for the love and great memories. Specialist Harvey US Army veteran 1994-1998. Peace and blessings.
+Rodney Harvey Spoken very well SP-4 Harvey. I too remember this classic being played on WHUR. I too suffered the same fate in a relationship; sad ending but, fond memories. Bless You SOLDIER. Santo A. Chase Colonel, USA (Ret) (1973 - 2005)
I was at Andrews during that time. There were so many beautiful ladies there. WHUR would play some of the smoothest stuff to add to the ambience - reminded me of my native Cleveland's 93 fm WZAK.
I remember seeing these brothas perform this song on soultrain i think in 1980 or 81 around the time gq come out with i do love you it was the beginning of the end of r and b
Yes sir! It was broadcasted in Jan '82, shared the neon stage with Syreeta in the same episode. Been looking for the video for ages, it has never appeared neither on youtube nor any other platforms.
I feel so much positive energy and inspiration after listening to this magic uninterrupted......but one thought in particular formed absorbing this masterpiece......I feel like conquering my world and overcoming all obstacles with love 💜🎹🌎
I feel sorry for the new generation, they won't know what real music means, their music speaks for them, but man music like this, well a time never to be matched or come again, such a shame to me anyway
How about the individual who has the perfect whistle! Beautiful Harmony I counted 24 1/2 times! And the Horn section is on point... They don't make music like this anymore!!!!! ❤️
