New episode Straw Hat pirates VS Arlong crew the Fishman, Sanji use Mutton Shot to defeat Kuroobi. Usopp beat Chew with explosive shot. #onepiece #sanji #netflix
@@Trigger0221 Yeah, it's always bothered me that we literally hear bones cracking, but somehow people are still alive. It's not like she's choking them out, so how are these people waking up?!!
Eh, they did but it’s too early and forced. They really started bantering right from the beginning, in the anime, they were still on good times for a bit in the beginning and it wasn’t right in the beginning, but it still works.
@@hidan407 I believe their rivalry started when Zoro was insulting nami on her betrayal and sanji thought zoro was insulting her boobs and then they hit Usopp, I think it truly started though like probably when they reached the grand line or maybe it was during logue town, ik it was there when they went to little garden so maybe there when their bickering became consistent since they were actually chill with each other to a degree when they met crocus, so probably little garden.
thats also his finisher in the anime, it's a big W for our boy ngl😂😂ussop is the weakest straw hat dont get me wrong but damn for the time it was super impressive to take down a fishman, at least for the average person!
Love that Zoro is hanging back, knowing that Sanji has it. Watching him do work. The rivalry is amazing, but they also respect each others abilities and capability of getting the job done immensely.
This was badly edited. Zoro should've fought Arlong from the start while Luffy getting drowned. Sanji going after Luffy and fight Kurobi underwater. Instead of this childish trade of blows. If netflix was gonna have zoro Kill people, why didn't they show Zoro being deadly even with untreated fatal injury? Netflix edits really know how to ruin characters. Zoro from being the hardest badass to someone who needs doctor and babysitter right after Mihawk slash. This is a joke, really.
@@beasthundred4709Zoro did need tending in the anime/manga as well, its just that it was off-screened and he wasn't seen again 'till the Arlong arc began. And he weren't with Luffy, he was with Usopp, Johnny and Yosaku who did their best to treat his wounds, but he ultimatly needed a doctors visit after the Arlong fight. But the moment with Arlong being frightened of Zoro after seeing his open wound should've been there
Sanji shouting his moves in actual french accent just hits so different and genuinely nice, like I neber imajgined it would actually fit so good outsidr the jp dub and I got so excited for this scene!!!
@@zocker2586 I don't know. As a french speaker, the way he shouted "épaule" and "poitrine" made me cringe. I also think his voice is too high pitched for Sanji.
Did you know that this Kuroobi Underwater Scene isn't in the original take? He's supposed to be just skipping the stones to reach out and attack Sanji. Oda didn't like it cause it really did lessen the "fishman" abilities of Kuroobi so they retake all of the scene and made this underwater scene.
@@itsazation4542 they got a LOT of ground to cover before they can even consider the time skip (but Matt Owens DID say he wants to get to at least Enies Lobby).
@@agreatmannamedlieuI don’t see how the girls in LA are rejecting this Sanji. He’s more tame, so seeing Nojiko go “nice try” without a smile makes it feel fake to me. Now anime Sanji, I can see why he strikes out a lot, because he goes overboard with his reactions lol.
While I’m disappointed we didn’t get a Zoro vs Hatchan scene, I think out of all the fights to remove from the Arlong Park Arc, this was the best choice. At this point we already kinda get how great of a warrior Zoro is since he was introduced in the beginning, so giving Ussop and Sanji a chance to battle genuinely tough opponents was kind of necessary. Not to mention what a nightmare it would’ve been to animate Hatchan. Usopp especially. One of my major criticisms of the live action is that they don’t really allocate much time to show off his strength as a sniper. They lean in hard on him being a exaggerator and liar, which I get is a big part of his character early on, but I feel like live-action only viewers are going to see him as dead weight compared to the rest of the crew, where as in the anime he did have a lot to offer.
@@RPGNoZerosame. That’s one of the most hype zoro moments in the series for me. Arlong was genuinely terrified of zoro. Arlong wanted to kill zoro before he could heal because arlong knew zoro would be a threat at full strength.
@@blinkgenre they could easily replace hatchan with kuroobi. In the anime hatchan did a compete 180 after the arlong park arc where he realized the errors of his ways. They could easily give that same storyline to kuroobi and have him be the one to get shot by the celestial dragons instead of hatchan.
@@kingmanga8575 In the first place Hatchan was always the most amenable one on Arlong's crew. Kuroobi could definitely fill the redemptive role, but it wouldn't feel very natural imo
10/10 for the combat in this show! I wish they would've added Usopp running away after faking his death though. It wouldn't have costed much, just a quick 20 or 30 second scene of him getting hyped for tricking the fishmen, running away and then getting the courage to call him back and finish the job
Dude shot a Chew ( the fishman with a weird mouth) in the face with a smoke pellet and he replied with " Not the face!" I'd probably run for my life after that too.
Maybe they are reserving it in Arabasta, which is more violent, it’s weird they didn’t hold back when Zoro cut mr. 7 in half, but that’s Zoro, a bounty hounter, Ussop is still kind of new to this thing so we’ll see how he does in Arabasta fight
Remove Hatchan here just solved that plot of Nami forgiving him too easily. Just maybe introduced him later, he can still be Arlong's pirate but quit before the raid on Coco village.
@@reymichaelzornosa7561yep he always seem to be the himbo of the group that was actually racist to humans but probably just admired arlong so they can make be the only one that show objection to arlong action
So happy they stuck to him saying his attacks in French, English dub just has him say it in English and it was so odd. Saying neck, shoulder just doesn’t ring right when Sanji is a French chef
This highlighted how many of the villains in East Blue were rusty either due to oppressing the weak and not getting stronger or waiting too long for their respective plans. Kuro was skilled but out of practice due to his facade and the Arlong Pirates wasted near a decade for land chart advantages that it made sense they were outmatched by those who were better suited for long winded battles.
I love both of their Fighting styles so much. An Expert Swordsman that can do the Triple Blade Style, and a TaiJutsu specialist that only fights with Kicking Techniques. Just incredible to watch!
I loved this adaptation...sure alot of missing details and fight...but shortened it nicely and loved the way chu was not beaten with too many usopp hammer, and the actor who played Sanji(even though English/Spanish) said the attack moves in lovely French accent
Kurobi only fought sanji in the anime, zoro fought hachi in the anime. I guess they couldnt create a hachi character due to the characters many arms and had to carry so many swords, uts understandable. Usopp vs chew did happen running part but miss the hammer and rubber band part. Overall well done making the character design exact as the anime
And Hatchi is the only character in Arlong crew who will make a comeback in Sabaody and Fishman Island arc and get redeem later as part of Strawhat's allies. But they also mentioning Jinbei here, so Jinbei will be in the next season if they dare to make Impel Down and Marineford arc
@@margarethmichelina5146 Jinbei was just a reference. It's gonna be a _long_ while before he'll actually show up in the story. Plus he's one of the Seven Warlords, which are a bit harder to write out of the story.
Geoff, I'm glad you acknowledge the importance of the Krieg Pirates to Sanji's character. Though honestly, Don Krieg was one of my favorite antagonists in the EB saga. Aside from Arlong, he gave Luffy a hard fight and gave him some serious injuries. Plus, i liked his arsenal, especially his War Spear
Krieg was important for Luffy's character as well. For Sanji, Krieg pirates were essential. The kids at Syrup village were also important for Usopp's character. With the budget for Coby and Garp lame ass fillers, they could've at least done proper world building.
@@beasthundred4709 Could you explain to me how Krieg was important to Luffy's character as well? I want to hear your thoughts on that. As for the Garp/Koby/Helmeppo stuff, I didn't mind too much. However, they weren't needed in the Syrup Village Arc since they didn't contribute to anything at all (except for Koby being the ONLY one to believe Usopp) and it made Usopp more of a side character in his own intro arc.
The reason this works and 99% of other live adaptations fail so hard is because other adaptations change everything, where as this is just an HD remake. Even Usopp kinda looks like the anime, and the anime version of him didn't even look like a human being.
I LOVED the fact they went by the protestic route with the fishman. cause theres 2 ways. the full cgi way that with a series budget would look horrible. Frankly the only place when u see it well done with full cgi it's on the pirates of the carabeen. So going with the protestic route it's waaaay better
They also did that in the anime. Fishmen are very durable but a guy like Sanji who's been training his whole life in kicking style can do some serious damage. He beat Kiroobi worse in the anime than he did here but it was still a beatdown.
As much as I can like the show this fight is embarassing. Sanji vs Kuroobi is one of his best fights, you can really feel the power from his legs there, and here its just unbeliavable even with all the suspension of disbelief of this world.
Yo props to how they did sanjis fighting style in real time. I see the Savate, taekwondo, karate and a hint of capoeira heavy reliance on the legs style martial arts. He mixes em up well I love it im sure later on we will see kicks of damn near every martial art well done!!!
@@omar1545 I just wish his fins were bigger. But that could be a design choice for the sake of the actor bc the fins in the anime were not only on his elbow joints but they were what? Three feet long?
@@furionmax7824 shit had to watch the anime again to get a good look and damn your right they do seem pretty small in comparison. It could be for the actor to move more freely with his combat as you said. In the anime he shields his mid section with one arm against Sanjis kicks and some shots from Genzo man if they had jus a little higher budget like pirates of the Caribbean budget I bet they could pull it off
As much as love this fight, it feels weird that hachi isnt present cause he's the only tolerable fishman in arlong's and the fact he will be important down the line in sabaody
Has anyone ever wondered about the aftermatch of those fights were everybody that Sanji simply KNOCKED OUT wakes up and sees half of their mates slashed and killed?
From what I can tell (haven't watched the anime in full but have seen bits of it) Sanji's rule isn't just that you don't insult Nami, it's more that you don't insult any woman - at the very least you don't hit or at least don't kick any woman.
Sad theres no Hachi in this battle. Hope OP Live action team got more generous funds next time. Or else they would never be able to live actioned character like Hachi that obviously need fine CG..
