In the manga version you have known about the scar on luffy’s face in the first chapter, but the anime version has chosen to show you that thing after 800+ episodes (there’s no reason why)

Wazamono(業物) is the rating of a sword. Or it may simply refer to a good sword. It actually exists, and the first edition was made in 1797 by Yamada Asaemon(山田浅右衛門). Then, revised editions came out in 1805 and 1830. There are 12 swords of the highest rank, 21 of the second rank, 50 of the third rank, and 80 of the fourth rank. The name of the sword that appears in One Piece is Oda's original and is different from the actual one.

But Tashigi said translated: there are " 12 Top O-Wazamonos = Dragonswords in america called Supreme Grade Swords (Mihawk's is one of them and the translator made a mistake those are just 12 not 21.) and 21 "O-Wazamonos = Kingswords= Great Grade Swords" and 50 "Ryo-Wazamonos = Masterswords= Skillful Grade Swords . Dragonsword is definitely a mistake, 業物 is the kanji for wazamono. 最上大業物 = saijou owazamono = highest great piece of work 大業物 = Owazamono = great piece of work 良業物 = high quality piece of work

Wazomono swords are basically high grade swords. There are 4 known levels Wazamono the weakest (Kitetsu the 3rd level) Ryo Wazomono (Yubashiri level) O Wazomono (Wado Ichimonji level) Saijo O Wazomono (Mihawk's sword Level)

More than weaker or stronger, I'd say it's about the quality they were forged with. I'd also include that, while we know there're 51 Ryo Wazamono, 21 O Wazamono and 12 Saijo O Wazamono, there's an unknown number of "regular" Wazamono.

Alright, just a little tip, try avoiding watching Opening 3 until you reach Episode 144 because it could spoil you some character that joins the crew, but for some reason, the anime started playing it way before this character joins, so I recommend you to skip that opening until Episode 131, but you can skip Episode 131 to 143 because they're filler so you can start watching right at Episode 144.
