Ye tht sceen felt funny bcause i think of zoro as a good guy and that was a dick move. Maybe he knew those guys would die in the new world so he sliced their ship out of sympathy. At least, this is what i tell myself because i like zoro as a good guy and not as a douche.
@@SpicyTurk Hmmm, it appears I struck a nerve. For the record, I'm referring to his status as the world's most wanted man and obviously reaching because "the devil" is very loosely connected to that (and probably not true personality-wise). But yeah, guess I'm a moron, lol.
Yeah maybe because the fact that he's a heavy drinker, and he can be kind of dick sometimes (like ruining touching moments and cut a ship in half after timeskip just because he got on the wrong ship lol)
I remember back when my friend told me to watch One Piece, 3 years ago. I tried, I failed. I couldn't get over the extremely old animation and the seemingly slow early episodes. Seemed like there was a wall after 3 episodes. Boy am I glad I tried watching it a few more times. Powered through the first few 10s of episodes and here I am, feeling like it was a long time ago, missing the old animation style and the simple yet rich story of the romance dawn days. Binged all 700+ episodes in about a month. Definitely the best anime of all time, and not just because of it's age.
Pretty much the same case of me 😁👍🏽 I first know about one piece from my friend's whatsapp status. So I asked him what is it. He sent me a telegram link to a channel for one piece. Honestly I was disappointed with the animation style. Yet the first episode was so interesting that I watched about 8, until the defeat of buggy. But by then I've almost give up watching it. Yet, after almost half a year I accidentally opened that channel and decided to watch through the rest, compelling myself. However after reaching baratie I realized that I'm witnessing an epic story and bing watched the rest in a month and now, I'm totally into animes 😻 stil, one piece is my all time favorite ❤️
"If you get in the way of my dreams i'll kill you" Skip to thriller bark and he's willingly throwing away his ambition for the sake of luffy's life. Beautiful character development
I thought Zoro was badass but when he took of his bandanna and I saw his green hair I laughed so hard (I know his hair was visible with the bandanna on but im unobservant af)
Ryan Bui, Zoro has been my most favorite character in the Strawhat Pirate Crew because he’s always been a stoic badass that’s completely loyal to Luffy.
When Zoro wears his bandana, no one can see his marimo hair, his eyes look sharper and his expression looks menacing. Probably that's how he earned the notorious reputation as a pirate hunter in East Blue.
@@roberthasudungan1546 no he earned that title because he was actually a notorious and very strong pirate hunter. His bandana and looks has nun to do with it lmao
man look how much zoro's loyalty to luffy changed, here he was saying he'd kill luffy if he got in the way of his ambition, but later in thriller bark and when they got separated he sacrificed his ambition and his pride. awesome Oda for writing such good manga with great character development
Zoro is the only one Luffy selected before meeting him and also he didn't gave any choice to reject his decision ❤️.! That's why I call him The Right Hand man of the King 😤😤.!!
i persponally just think zoro and luffy are the closest out of everyone because zoro was the first person fluffy trusted and zoro at this moment gave his everything to luffy
ZORO-CHAN IS THE BEST!!! I LOVE YOU!!! This reminds me of how much little kids seem to be somewhat attracted to him. But he doesn't like them very much. HAHAHAHAHA! So funny!
Zoro THEN: Nate Yaro Ja Ne Ka.... Kaizoku Ni (I'll become... a pirate)! Zoro (in Wano): Nate Yaro Ja Ne Ka... Jigoku No O Ni (I'll become... The King of Hell)!
Netflix ruined zoro characters , Zoro is very cold in the anime he never talking to much like in the live actiin,, he never teases his crew mates like zoro OPLA did to nami in the live action, in the anime he never called him self pirate hunters ,and he doesnt care about woman at all, he only cares about sake and his swords and his childhood friends and he's very respect to his captain and very loyal,
I love how Zoro says that if Luffy do anything that cause him to give up he's dream, he will kill him. But later when he fights against Kuma at thriller bark. He gives up he's life for Luffy.
Zoro knew directions. But Zoro sacrificed his sense of direction so he can wield Yubashiri. Too bad the blade is broken, taking his sense of direction with it. WASTED
Zoro: If you do anything that would cause me to abandon my ambition I’ll kill you Spoilers past this point Zoro in thriller bark: ready to sacrifice his life and dream for luffys life and dream
Of course he knows man! That's where his katanas are, he wouldn't forget about them. If there is something you care about, even if it's just an object, you won't forget about it, no matter where it could be.
*Zoro then:* "if you do anything that would to abandon my ambitions, you'll die to my sword." *Zoro now:* "I was going to become the greatest swordsman, instead of taking my captain's life, take mine. What good is a crewmate who can't protect his captain?" Talk about character development
Man Sanji had backstory so does nami, chopper and robin that impacted them on the way of the journey I hope we'll see more of zoro backstory and maybe who knows maybe zoro had a famous family or bloodline or something... it would be cool to see it but i just hope zoro and luffy wont fight unless they are just sparring or in a situation like sanji's in the future cuz that would ruin zoro's loyalty and the fact that they have never threw hands at each other!
This is the time that luffy does all for zoro's sword,so now zoro pays luffy by sacrificing and confronting enemies by himself at any cost, just to protect his captain
ALMOST more than anything. They are willing to die protecting the people they care about, even if that means they won't be able to reach their dreams. Luffy would do anything to protect his crew, and Zoro throws away his pride for Luffy's sake when he asks Mihawk to train him.
@@emjay1249 yeah the best timeline we have is that Luffy started his voyage in May. East Blue is impossible to say and Paradise is generally considered to be 2-3 months since some timeframes were specified. Sanji would’ve just turned 22 if you go by Tama’s birthday and maybe Zoro is about half a years older or younger than Sanji. Also Nami would be the only one whose birthday lies in the pre-ts timeline. there’s nothing more to it; that part just isn’t intended to make sense
I love how at 2:10 zoro states how he would kill luffy if he had to abandon his ambitions because of him, but during thriller bark he willingly gave up his life and ambition for luffy's sake. It really shows how far theyve both come, hes really the only one deserving of being luffy's first mate.
you guys get it wrong, first mate that cant even protect the captain that gave his all to protect him cant be best swordsman he pretty much states it himself, if his will is so weak as to not put his life on the line when he declared loyalty to luffy then his ambition is hollow
Juzo juzo ye well but still he asked mihawk for help to become stronger for the sake of luffy. as mihawk said: he must have found something more important than his own ambitions
yeah but in this video he warns luffy to not interfere with his ambitions, intentionally, not tha he cant disregard it for the sake of others of his own volition
Also in the manga it is said that literally the only reason why Zoro became a bounty hunter is because on his travels to become stronger he lost his way, so he could not return home for food from time to time, so he started to live as a traveling bounty hunter.
As much as I love the live action, I feel this scene was a must have. Luffy blackmailing Zoro was a must and those two on their own in a small boat really established the bond and showed Zoro truly followed Luffy when Luffy had nothing but a row boat.
@KIDAS bs, this was a scene at the beginning of romance dawn, 300 ep is a lot, I would'nt have gotten to that point in a month if it wasn't for Carona, but this comment was made 5 years ago, we didn't know that there was gonna be a pandemic
@@SM-ys8lw I caught up with one piece in a couple months, two years before Covid, you can easily catch up if you spend enough time, like I did during busy school days, 300 ep is kinda easy, if only you would start binge watching it
@@johngolder2216 , Zoro is and will always be the most badass swordsman of all time, and I’m never going to have a more favorite character than Zoro from One Piece.
Zoro has evolved a lot throughout One Piece, in this video he mentions that he will kill Luffy if Luffy stops him from his ambition. Nowadays he doesn't care about giving his life for Luffy to be the pirate king. The best vice-captain.
I mean let’s be honest here when has Luffy ever gotten in his way throughout their battles? Like legit everytime the Straw Hats are in the middle of a big battle it’s literally every one for themselves but there have been cases where it’s usually 2 straw hats going against a single enemy like in Wano where Usopp and Nami went against Ulti. In fact there have even been cases where Luffy entrusted Zoro to take care of one of their main enemies like how Zoro stops Pica from hitting Luffy and is followed up by Luffy saying “Zoro I’m counting on you, I’m gonna go and kick Doflamingo’s ass.”
He (still) will kill luffy if luffy decide to defeat mihawk/greatest swordsman after somehow zoro got defeated by them. But, it wouldn't happen cuz they respect each other. This why luffy didn't interupt zoro vs mihawk in first fight.
@@kucinghoren7864I don’t think that’s how that works… if Luffy beat mihawk that wouldn’t make Luffy the greatest swordsmen. I think after Zoro took on mihawk is when his ambition truly formed. When he pledged to luffy that he will not lose as the vice captain to the pirate king. So when Zoro chose to take Luffys place to Kuma that was him essentially saying I rather die for my captain then live with the burden of LOSING him.
@@kucinghoren7864 this is not true because he said whats the point of becoming the greatest swordsman ever if i couldnt help achieve my captain's dream first in thrillerbark when he took took luffy's pain. He prioritises luffy way more than his own ambition.
