ZR2 Colorado Known Suspension Issues

Thank you all for tuning back in! Apparently, ZR2 Colorado Trucks have a known suspension issue if you take them wheeling where you'll hear a clunking sound at the front of the truck. This video covers that. I apologize for the aspect ratio difference from the first clip to the rest of the clips. I added a new gopro to my arsenal and completely forgot to setup the aspect ratio to match my other gopro cameras. The first clip was recorded with my OG gopro.

I have clunking noises when Im reversing with my wheels turned all the way to the left or right on my ZR2. It only started occurring after I had Peak Suspension UCA's installed along with tie rod sleeves.I had the First version of the Peak UCA's with their original bushings that apparently had problems. They seem them with Delrin bushings now. It's either the bushings in the UCA's or what you just described in this video. Thank you for the information!!!

Jack the front of your truck up and try wiggling the tire in a side to side motion and also up and down motion. You might need to turn the wheel in full lock to replicate your symptom but having the truck up will help you pinpoint where it's coming from.

Same here after the Peak UCAs after about a year. Now getting some sort of clunk when parked and I turn my wheels to back up. But not all the time so it's hard to pin point the issue. I've recently had it realigned but seems to have gotten worse. But I do have mine raised about 1.5" so I figure it's something to do with that. PEAK leaves a lot of mystery in they're after install adjustments that my alignment guys would like to know for best results.

Glad you liked it. To save you some money, first make sure the inner tie rod is not loose. These trucks are known for that. All it takes is removal of the boot and tightening. If it's loose it'll cause a clunking sound.

I removed my wheel just to be safe and to have more room to work with.
