Thats actually a beautifully made set of headers. Kawa put a lot of effort into that. Can see why they are so quiet. Can also see how aftermarket full exhaust would be a vast improvement in weight and flow. I really appreciate you doing this. Dont have a zrx but thinking about it. More to the point though,, what happened to your leg!!! Looks painful!
They work decent in a stock configuration/stock air box stock ignition mild jetting with a timing advancer for low to midrange power but that’s about it. but if you want to make lots of power All the way to red line where it counts. the stocker’s gotta go! Glad to see they got rid of the crossover tubes on the 01 but man what a tank! Thanks for making this video. i wondered how far they went with the double wall and and perforated pipe to make it quiet. it’s worse than I thought😂 if I wanted quiet I would’ve bought a gold wing.
some are still made this way . remember it is to meet strictly enforced European or EUR 3 sound requirements. Double wall / glass mat / large exhaust can or muffler make them quiet .
