What makes those flute guys smack so hard is that when they aren't blocked they constantly build up ATK then slap even the tankiest operator and kill em in two-three hits. Even without that buff they hit really hard and god help you if the purple variation is up and they reach your line of defense as they will curb stomp it cause of their stun. For some reason they are very tanky and CM just makes it even worse.
HG designed the mobs in this event for elemental damage. Though, the soft counter is high physical damage like Besiegers, Hunters and Heavyshooters. Also, Crushers are good ground tile soft counters since they can tank high damage.
Almost everything in the event does arts so crushers aren't bad I actually tried quartz at some point Was disqualified because she flat out does less damage than my other options :(
The way you make full use of the mechanics is always very fun to watch. Getting the boss to redeploy Deepcolor so her limited summons refresh and stall even more wasn't something I thought about.
those wind/oboe/clarinet/w/e guys are so rough, i dont really like how they take away the music machine once witch king is dead, but i guess there's a reasonable limit to the "music sheet" at the top of the stage.
The orb is very similar to Stainless S3, many operators that work well with Stainless work really well in this event, such as Chongyue, swordmasters, Passenger, offensive recovery, etc
About the orbs being a scrapped 6* mechanic, I think it could've very likely been for Pozy. A typewriter is something you usually interact with, but it works automatically in her case. I guess the damage potential from combining an entire squad's worth of damage was too much even for a 6*

I beat S-1-4 from first time both on normal and CM and i was self-confident that last level should be easy. Maaaan, i was sooo wrong. After +10 fails on normal and CM i remembered you and i thought that you will be doomed. I was kiinda right - nonstop 4-day suffering was not fun, but you actually did it! Great clear, Silver.
My favorite event in so long,it was just a blast, uh, canon pun not intended. Got me back into snipers only, even if I only managed most of it such and not all. :D
Caper Seriously High damage/extremely tanky for a sniper/good skill cycle/ can crit past high def Other than her some high damage aoe operator It's better to setup where boss sits in phase 2 so an operator can hit the boss and the orb with the same attack. Imagine mlynar smacking both for double damage on boss. But 4 stars don't have any operator where that is justified over just using another single target op (that's why vigna is here) I guess a liberator could help a lot then
For a second I thought you had actually really struggled... turns out you were trying to beat it with only 7 chars and a robot because it was too easy otherwise, sasuga Silvergun.
Something in this event makes it super annoying, I get the feeling that sometimes you chonk the enemy for a lot of damage, but other times you basically throw feathers at them. It might be that you don't know what kind of ball hits the enemy, because it makes all attacks look the same, but that is what makes me hate the event mechanic, not the enemies or the rng of the boss, but that the visual feedback is so bullshit (plus the whole thing is badly explained, they just suddenly throw the ball at you and create the shields that make you needing to use them).
oh yeah i feel that since I had to time when i procced his teleport the inconsistency annoyed me a lot I understand that it's related to how operator attack sync up e.g. 1 op hits it small damage/ 3 op hits it big damage If they made orbs bigger based on their charge it would help visual clarity a bit. ig the issue is that a player with full maxed 6 stars and a new player would have comlpetely diffrent standards for what big damage is and it's hard to reflect both in any meaningful way

cause adding a full op makes it trivial doesn't even have to be perfumer any medic or effective dps would win easily consider robots as using 0.5 operators
Those guys are so annoying. High damage on hit and stun, and not being counted as Elite. You can’t Eben cheese them like you can with elite since they aren’t consider as elites, and even the Abyssal Hunters have a hard time hold them due to their high damage along with stun.
