Can you connect from this to a switch to act as a gateway for a larger Lan or does it only work with client machines connected to the Lan ports on the back

Hi, just had to send my Huawei B535 back to amazon after about 8 months of using it. Was ok at first getting around 20 to 30 mbps but now for the past two months I have to constantly pull the plug out and reset it because it just stops working. I always get full signal strength so that's not the problem. I looked on Huawei support and I'm not the only one with this problem and Huawei don't seem to have done anything about it. I mean the box needs resetting every 5 to 10 minutes and when it works you only get about 5mbps download. I put the sim in a spare mobile, and it easy outperforms the b535 without dropouts so its not the fault of my provider. I also set the box up in many different recommended configurations, but the problems do not go away. I hope this ZTE MF286 can do better. Thank you

I cant seem to get the USB port to work as a samba share like my huawei does. i get an icon in windows but it wants a username and password and none of the label on the modem work so..... and in the modem config pages theres no mention of the usb

Next time, try and highlight more on the port, as they is a port labelled LAN/WAN for switching

I tried without any signal improvemet. It seem's its hardware doesn't accept external antennas, many blogs/discussions over this issue but nobody solved the problem.

Hey, We do not believe this can be done by default. You may need specific firmware or third party software.

This MF286R piece of junk for me, in RMA second time ! after two months ! same issue - DC all the time, but in odd way - router is turning off ! and after few seconds turning on

I have an mf286r…realy realy bad. Sim card light blinking all the day, wifi light blinking all the day… It gives 2 hours internet / 24 hours. I made restart, reset, factory reset sim card out/in software upgrade for the newest nothing helped. Im using it for 3-4 years but always the same.

Exactly this router is horrible it randomly decides to stop or randomly go VERY slow for no reason

This router is junk. I had it 2 Months. Very bad Performance, not even over 100 Mbits and download speed is constantly dropping and rising

"Amazing" presentation ! You managed to fill the first half of it without saying anything useful except the price on your shop and that it has the same technical characteristics as most other 4G routers.
