The fact they're correcting it now makes me think Zunesha will be relevant again going into the last arc. We all accepted the original height and changing it now does absolutely nothing unless they plan to do something with it

At these new corrected heights it would mean Zunesha is somehow only 1.2 miles wide. That is NOT possible holding the kingdom of Zou on its back. That distance is nothing by comparison.
Yeah, Zou is definitely larger than your standard city block. At least several square miles. Zunesha is probably wider than most calculations give him credit for, just as his legs are a lot longer than a standard elephant's. He extends to about 5 or 6 km above the ocean surface, with anywhere from 3 to 6 km submerged, so in the range of 10 to 12 km tall. Maybe?
What if zunesha only walks on the old continents that sank in the void century, how else could zunehsa know where to walk as light doesnt make it to the sea floor, elephants never forget so she just remembers the continenta that she used to live on
I mean, we actually have a good way to gauge the potential depth, by looking at our own ocean depths before the continental shelf drop off. Using the new metric system presented in egghead, on average it is less than 110 island annihilations in depth.
The sea floor may be super inconsistant and thats why zuniesha can walk on it. It may be so inconsistant because the flooded old world, imagine "zuniesha's path" may be wlking over the old world before the flooding
The only annoying part is the flood only taking 200m, which is basically nothing and even crushed ships would be near-surface, it should have been more like 500 to seem plausible, at the very least 400m

How much of the ocean is only 200 meters deep like the old civilizations? Or things like contenetal shelfs around the larger islands which would also produce more shallow areas. Undersea geography also matters
Once again, really shows that Oda is bad with scaling. - 35 km Zunisha was way too big, now 5km is kind of too small - 150 km fishman island was way too big given that it is in a round bubble and only 10 km deep. - 200 m sea level rise is not nearly enough to completely make ancient civilization disappear (not all cities are at sea level, and buildings, can easily be taller than that) And there are other exemples.
Hey Tekking, what if zunesha only walks on the parts of the world, where the water is 200m deep? If the world had big continents like ours before the void century, then there should be enough paths to walk on. Then Zunesha could be 5km tall without being over half submerged.
Well depending how much of the world was flooded during the Void Century a good portion of the worlds oceans would be 200 meters or less in depth so a smaller Zunesha makes sense.
For all we know, Zunesha might mostly be walking on what used to be dry land and continental shelf before the void century. That would only be a few hundred meters below sea level.

Assuming an elephant of normal proportions and 5K is the total height, legs are probably ~2.5K. Maybe less. Based on what we have seen... that means it typically walks on shallow water... 500-1000meters deep. This makes sense. So 4K+ is always above water, and this is ok again with what we have seen.
The variable depth makes sense if you consider larger landmasses flooded by the rising sea level. It could be walking where there did not used to be ocean. Probably accidentally stomping the ancient ruins of the pre-void century cities to dust
Considering zunesha MUST wander as some sort of punishment for the past, how he can only do things if he is ordered to, I'd argue the whole stomping over ruins might not be by accident but by design.
So a thought just occurred to me. Once Blackbeard finds out about the ancient weapons and goes after Pluton, I wonder if the Island Island Fruit might come into play on Wano

What if zunesha ate the apples when it was younger and much smaller and could still travel on land and go to the sky islands, now it's something that it fonds after but can't get anymore
Zunisha being 35k meter tall meant that it's 25k m higher than mount everest. The SH would have suffocated with the lack of oxygen but they didn't. The only other explanation would be that the One Piece world is just gigantic with even 35k meter having plenty of oxygen to breathe properly.
If the world was flooded it isn't too outlandish for it's height to be 5,000 meters height wise. He could be walking around in the shallower water that is where there use to be a continent (the ancient kingdom). I think with the One PIece world it's best if compared to our world where we have the ocean, but then we take earth and then add a bunch of water on top of the land, so there would be much more shallow areas, and then you have where the oceans were already which would be much much deeper.

The numbers could work as length, if the trunk and tail are included. But I'll skip on measuring the image to check out if this is the case. Overall a good reminder that there are few more productive uses of one's time than analyzing scale in One Piece.
See this would have been made easier if they went from Zunisha being 35,000 meters tall to 13,500 meters tall. If the ocean is 7,000 flat not accounting for underwater trenches then that would mean an additional 6,500 meters would be above water and you could pass off the 35k as being a mess up on either the end of whoever made the Vivre cards or Oda when they meant to put a 1 at the front and one less 0 at the end.
I imagine IMU or someone on their side ordered Zunesha to walk and trample over the ancient kingdom.... the land before the flooding as a punishment against defying him/her etc. Then again the fact that order can be overridden would imply that Imu etc.... is a Kozuki or something? I don't know you know what I mean right? Did he betray Joyboy and get ordered to walk as punishment from the "good side" or did is his punishment for joining Joyboy etc. It may actually be a punishment from the "good side" aka why a decent from Wano who likely sided with Joyboy could undo the order?
clearly Zounesha uses "Enma Logic" and can grow its legs to reach the sky islands but it only does so to get apples...whish, even considering the nerfed size, would still mean that Zounesha needs to rip out an entire orchard worth of apples to even feel the taste

Im sure the world government does know about Zunesha because he was sentenced to walk he didnt really choose to just walk around endlessly so I always assumed it was the government who found Zunesha and sentenced him to endless walking
I think the average depth of the ocean could be around 3000mts then the abysal depth are 7000 and fish man island gets to 10000 Because if Zunesha reached all the way to 7000 and the depths with its beasts they may cause problems on her legs by trying to eat em

Hey tekking, I got a one piece bundle manga, it has volumes 1-3 and while reading it, one page talks about facts about Oda, one section says favorite possessions, the first one is Lego. Yes Legos also originate from Denmark, but maybe there is something to it. There's also Playmobil, figures, swords and flintlocks, no surprise lol. And a cow skull. I'm also feeling like restarting and catching up again, looking back at all the old stuff and how far the story has come

The height i'm fine with because 5000-6000 meters is 3 miles at minimum, and max would be close to 3ft 7 for height which feels like it's pretty tall and It sounds way more likely than 30 kilometers. But man that 1 mile wide ? No I don't buy that. Zunesha has a whole Kingdom on it's back, a whole mountain area where they hid Raizo. I don't buy that it's only 1 mile wide. I walk that distance in a day, yet aparently in that 1 mile radius I could have walked through a whole kingdom and a mountain in that time in 10-15 minutes

Tekking you forgot the world was sunk 800 years ago just by sea level rising 200 meters. Or was it 250 meters? So oceans are not very deep. Idk why Oda pick 10k deep for Fishmen Island...
Now zou doesn't really make sense as a place, but still something we can get over way better than it being nonsensically tall. I guess that for me the optimal length would have been something like 7000m tall, 2+km over water, ~3km long and like 2-3km wide. However looking at the scenes when it's around (except Zou size, of course) the new vivre card seems fine
If Zunesha walks on the sunken continent then it's only gonna be around 200m deep water 🤔 which would mean theres 4.8ish km above water which in perspective seems plausible. Also no one can reach Zunesha without knowing where he's at (vivre card) and the waves created by his walking keep ships from getting close.
I think zunesha is probrably way more destructive than any of the ancient weapons due to its sheer size with its only real weakness being that it is alive and can die but i belive at least for the two current known ones zunesha would win against the pluton and posideon not sure about the uranus but thats mainly because we dont know what it is

5000m makes sense if it likes sky island apples. If we agree that 3000m are under water and 2000m are above, and its trunk reaching the ships on the water, that means its trunk is at least 2000m long. 5000m + 2000m are 7000m which would be enough to reach some sky islands 😄
What if Zuni is walking on an island that sunk hundreds of years ago. You know how fish and stuff can sometimes just grow to fit their environment? What if Zuni is commanded to walk around that island and is but we can’t see it because it’s so far down. Then as time went on the island sunk Zuni grows and grows so that way it stays above the water and continues to endure its punishment?
Random what if zunesha is a race that communicates like the sea beasts. And what we saw in thriller bark are actually adults/elders. 1. Explains why the government never found em. 2. If they thought those creatures were they might’ve just destroyed the ships. 3. They may be guarding something so the fog we saw might actually be an ability or they generate so much heat it’s like constant steam coming off, also great for cover
