This is a superb custom it inspired me to do my own. Was going to get the other blitzwing just for the decals but once you said this was the better one I knew I had to customize it like yours. No one has better videos on customizing figures

Oh, I’m so happy you painted inside the air intakes on the shoulder! I’m definitely doing that, because it looks unfinished in basic white and sooooo much better with even just some shading :) I’m surprised it’s not painted from the factory, it just seems like it should be.

Glad you find it useful!! Sometimes on the factory side will "play it safe", not everyone likes their figures over paint, and weathering paint is better done by hand-painted with greater cost. But that is not a big deal to me, I really enjoy custom my figures whatever and however I like on my way! Thanks again for supporting and please stay tuned, there is more to come!

Great work! I would like to offer a suggestion for applying decals. Spray the area that you plan to decal with a light gloss varnish . This will “blend” them to the part. MicroSol can be applied to set the decal to panel lines and rivets. Weathering can be painted over decals. When you finish painting, you can mask the areas that you want to retain a gloss finish and then spray with a flat or satin finish to seal your work.

Thanks for putting up this video, it’s very interesting and helpful stuff. I have both Flash and Thunder Warrior on order, and will probably compare the paint jobs to see what touch ups I can do... However, I am nervous about taking the figure apart as you have to repaint it! I will definitely be following your tip about the wing attachment though, that seems to be an important first modification that most people do. Luckily it seems a simple fix. Regarding how the paint job looks in the BB2018 film, apparently the CGI model of the phantom is one version, whereas the paint scheme used comes from a different version of the F4. (The length of the of black paint on the nose cone is one example). I’m glad I subbed, great work dude!

Glad you like it! Wow, amazing! You got it both Flash and Thunder Warrior! I can only select one (no budget LOL) On the Zeta Flash, all joints are normal screws, it's easy to taking the figure apart to do any modification or repaint should be no problem, just go ahead! (I did it multiple times, off-camera) The black paint on the nose cone of the F4 fighter jet has also limited with the figure jet mode design compare to real F4 jet, it may not be 100% accurate. What I did just basically considering the paint job will not affect the bot mode visual. The final result when really well! Thanks again for supporting! Please stay tuned, there is more to come!

Awesome job as usual! Blitzwing looks phenomenal and some people who own him can rest easy knowing that all of his loose joint and wings can be fixed. Although, what are the markers that you used called? Im wondering because im making a custom MPM Bee and want to have more control over the more difficult spots to paint.

Great! Glad you find it useful!! The marker pen used is "Sharpie Permanent Marker." You can see I used it in all my custom re-paint videos, it easy to used and I'm highly recommended! Amazing skills, you have! Love the details you did. I learnt a lot from your video. Thanks for putting this up. Regarding removing paints on clear canopy, I used isopropyl alcohol and it works fine for me without damaging the plastic.

The mechanical alliance version is better than ZV02 on paint job one thing they did is removeable mouthpeice that is very accurate. the one thing about the sx01 thunder warrion i hate about are the legs bechause they are loose and 2 things on teh paint job that i really wished they did was the cockpit section and the red lines. Zv02 is way bigger than sx01 i choose that Zv02 has points for stability. I have some complaints aboutthe Zv02 is the details, cockpit, needs more weathering head sculpt and the most is their is no ratchet joints just only hinge joints . In my opinion. At 2:09 you indicate a screw you wish to hide. I have been doing some detail painting on my Flash, and that piece is hidden by a curved plastic section of nose cone or similar (attached by a ball joint under the canopy). So, we have different moldings/ editions of the figure?
