Glad they've started to add new roads to Watopia again. Long, long, overdue. Adding a link climb from the southern road to the epic KOM was always a good option. There's room for another one closer to the jungle that could be another route to the radio tower, or even higher climb. Opens options for a few new climb loops. Would like to have seen them also complete the northern link road. Wonder if the API was a result of any talks between TrainerRoad and Zwift? Seems an option for them to become partners in this.
Sadly we are not in the batch of the 1st three companies but have been reassured we are next. Probably comes down to the bigger platforms bringing more potential subscribers to Zwift
Awesome updates love the climb and avg power displays whoo at last.. I look forward to TrainerRoad workout uploads 😊❤ thanks for the update dude.. Pete
Would love to see integration with music streaming services. Like getting songs with tempo that matches your desired cadence and ability to select next/previous song from Zwift Play controller, for example.
From memory, I think the tempo of most popular songs is above 100 beats per minute. But maybe modern software could adjust it while maintaining the same pitch.
@@feezee82 Not many popular music and songs have that high a tempo, either. Some genres do, though - if you like cycling to techno or trance music, for example.
I really do like getting Ride On’s during a ride. They honestly do motivate me, especially if they are from riders on the route with me. I’d like to see a Ride On counter like they have on Sauce for Zwift.
The Grade seems interesting. I already do intervals on Alpe Du Zwift but like those constant changing steep gradients are annoying. Hopefully it's not stupid steep and the gradient is gradual. Would like a solid steady climb to do intervals on. Climb up, reverse, rest, and repeat. Or if using workout mode you can actually set a certain gradient percent. The current "incline" mode has no numbers or lines indicating how much resistance there is. It's all by feel which is hard to replicate each session.
They really need to fix the multiple routes in one activity. I've had three rides where I've tried to do two routes but the second one never registers, even though the strava segments show up? Hopefully I can now push my garmin daily suggestions to Zwift, though they only appear on my watch so not sure how that will work.
It has taken them a long time to spend money on improvements and not just marketing. But bravo, they seem at last to be listening. Love the new HUD and FTP climb thing.
Is it really an expansion? Maybe I misunderstood (or wasn't paying attention - more likely), but it sounds like they have just added one new route. [Edited to add: Just watched GP Lama update and he has listed the new routes, so it's not just "The Grade"]
new to all this, new smartbike, i've ridden once, on zwift using iPhone, just got a samsung smart TV with apple tv built in, AND ADDED AN EXTERNAL APPLE TV 4K (not sure if that was needed). CAN'T SEEM TO FIGURE HOW TO GET ZWIFT APP ONTO APPLE TV! and to which apple tv should i be trying to add it????
You need to use the external Apple TV device (not the Apple TV app in your TV). Go to the App Store on the Apple TV device and you should be able to search and find Zwift. Download it and follow the instructions in the app to login and pair your trainer.
The current upcoming elevation graphic is so bad that it might as well not be there. I’m concerned that it appears to still be there on the new set up suggesting that bigger display will only be there on significant climbs? I hope that’s not what it proves to be…
Still crazy to me how underdeveloped Zwift is for something you have to pay for. A lot of these updates are basic things that should have been there at launch.
Not sure where you can get training plans, access to racing, a large variety of training options for $15. I think it’s a good value. There’s always room for improvement, but people focus on the 5% that isn’t perfect, rather than the 95% that’s pretty solid.
What is underdeveloped? I think Zwift is pretty impressive and the value you get is insane: interactive training, races whenever you want to, hundreds of kilometers of roads in beautiful virtual worlds… not sure what you aren’t happy about.
