He was showing safety for the bike rider aswell, using turn signals an leaving space, that demands respect....most car drivers are oblivious to bikes, they have no chance at that speed...so bike vs car arguments aside, he knew where that biker was at all times
The other traffic is awesome for mostly staying out of the left lane full stop. You could not do that as safely in Australia our speed limit is 110kph lol.

For those who dont know, pretty much all Japanese super bikes have a factory limited top speed of around 186MPH (300KMH) so in a top speed run most performance cars would trump a bike, but every MPH to 186MPH a bike is quicker. A BMW M5 has a top speed limit of 155MPH; Ford Focus RS500 has a top speed of around 160MPH, doesnt necessarily make it a superior car to the M5.

Don't you just love the way he driver of the Audi double tapped the brakes at about one minute thirty and then disappeared. I ride bikes and drive cars and cars are the ultimate speed machines but bikes give you a feeling like nothing else.
Actually the tap the Audi driver did was a warning to the biker. He warned him that there is a car up ahead in the middle lane, so that the biker doesn't run into him by surprise when the Audi changes lanes.

Steve Clark I think you have made a mistake no stock Hyabusa will do 300mph they are limited to 186 mph by an agreement between the Japanese manufacturers, the S1000RR is the quicker bike and even that will not top 200 mph. The RS6, if the limiter is removed is capable of +200 mph and if chipped is even faster. In the video the rider was working the bike flat out and the Audi was still pulling away. How you can make a statement that all cars are shit is strange because they clearly are not I own cars and bikes and I would prefer to ride a bike all day long but there are some very fast cars out there that can leave 99% of all bikes way behind there are probably only five or six bikes that could stay the the Audi over 150 mph and once it hits 180 mph the Audi will just keep pulling away. Give me either and I will be very happy.
agreed. I just find it amazing that even standard RS6 parts (gearbox, turbos, engine) are capable of doing such speeds and accelerations. With MTM tuning (basicaly the same as ABT, but 730hp) is limited to 350km/h due to tyres max speed. So standard gearbox is able to do such speeds. In real life they've reached 344 km/h on Nardo and 336 km/h on ice in Finland :-P With 2.2 ton wagon... :-P
***** Your father is a VERY a lucky man. However, your dads genetic connection to you doesn't make you experienced on the topic of high-speed motorcycle crashes. I've been around motorcycles for 25 years. I've logged about 30,000 miles of hobby riding in the past 3 years. I have been on the scene of countless high speed crashes over the years and I've actually seen SEVERAL fatal high speed motorcycle crashes since I made the RU-vid comment above roughly a month ago. In a crash at close to 300km/h (on the streets), we find that bones, muscles, ligaments and organs and EVERYTHING gets pulverized. Shredded. Shattered…if it hits anything hard such as a wall, a railing or curb or oncoming car. This is even possible when the rider wears good safety gear. Helmets can split open or or fly from the riders body…taking the riders head off with it. Without leathers and body armor, the damage is even worst. Sometimes those organs are strewn all over the streets. This is serious speed to be on public roads. Riders who crash at these speeds and survive (even to survive for the few minutes/hours after the accident) are EXTREMELY lucky. Consider your dad lucky to have found a rider who "lived" long enough after a high speed accident for his organs to be harvested. That is just NOT the norm from a 300km/h motorcycle crash.
Not problem I see lots of 1000cc engines with 40.000 km in excelent conditions. With good oil and mainteinance they are forever. With this air at that speed is not very hard for the engine
I am from DK and it is a real pleasure to see how he lean's in on curves on a nearly straight good highway, I want an Audi RS6 when I get my pension, I have been driven Mc's for 30+ years now, and I don't have balls for that race. Hats of from me.
That's one powerful RS6, at 299K's it pulling on and on..Prob to 350ks...I don't know how long a ZX-10 and redline for!! But I was waiting for something to drop! Still impressive combo race. Enjoyed
How on earth do motor bike engines take that abuse, and for a sustained speed and distance. Just incredible. And that the rs6 accelerated away. Wow says it all.
I bet the tune on the Audi would have been more than the ZX10 cost, even twice or three times as much! I'll give the car it's due, its bloody quick, very fast indeed to be having that bike like that.
Nice video. I can't see how old the rider is, but he's got to be young enough to keep up at that rate of speed processing everything around for that amount of time and old enough to have the riding experience to carry it out, I'm guessing early 40's. I used to take my 99 Hayabusa up to 315 every time I took it for an outing, but these blasts up at that speed were only for a few seconds. I dont have the luxury of fenced Motorways or Autobhan to ride on and I'm unable to process the surrounding area and objects quick enough to permit me to ride that way anymore. My Hayabusa now sits gathering dust, whilst I use a BMW 1200 GS Adventure, which with the BMW luggage box's fitted, regulates my desire and ability to speed quite nicely and I'm not even 50yrs old.
AUDI #1! I have Audis since 1985. Even an Audi Fox '74 carburated, 5000 Turbo and now a V8. I never had any major issue with any of these cars. They like to be treated like family members, then you have a very good buddy in your garage.
i LOOOVE the way vehicles move to the right so faster ones may pass. even at the blistering fast speed these 2 are going, they STILL move to the right whenever possible in case someone is coming up even more blistering (blisteringer?).
I'm not sure when this video was filmed. Assuming it's fairly recent the ZX10 would have a top speed of around 188 mph. The RS6 has a limited speed if 155 mph, but there are delimited versions ; MTM offer one for example with 750 bhp that exceeds 190 mph. Maybe the car in the video had this package fitted?
Just proves laws of physics. Lighter but less powerful motorbike out accelerates car till about 250kph, then wind resistance and drag level out the less weight and frontal area of the bike, car has greater power making it proportionately less affeted by wind resistance, giving the more powerful car the advantage after about 250kph. The motorbike could do with one less tooth on the rear sprocket because the engine is red lining and on the limiter. The bike would probably then be able to keep up on max speed by slip-streaming the car. Cars can outbrake motorcycles though so maybe not a good idea after all.
No, the speedometer is stuck at 300 km / h but you can see the RPM continue to increase. I think the maximum speed of the zx-10r on this video is about 320 km / h
You just know the Audi driver is at 21.5*C and has the stereo on an easy listening station while her family sleeps around her and she reads sales flyers while applying makeup.

A heavier object with same or more hp in this case will almost always go faster in a straight line long distance, but as soon as variables come into the equation like curves, braking ect the bike will have the superiority. Even from stand still the bike will dominate in a straightaway, not until enough time on a straight road would the car even have the change to reach its top speed for enough time to overtake the bike. These mostly straightaway videos on busy highways almost always benefit the car. Take a look at actual professionals on a controlled track with real fast cars such as Ferrari and Porsche against sportbikes and 100% of the time as long as the straightaway isnt longer than 3-4 miles the bikes dominate. Its science. Also in a auto one feels more safe even though most likely youd still be killed at these speeds, where a biker senses and feels everything so many factors come into play not to mention experience. Nothing special with the Audi, and auto can be souped up hp and suspension wise to perform a specific task.
+Christopher Swenson You are forgetting one very important aspect. Aerodynamics. A tractor trailer has huge HP and Huge weight but won't go that fast due to the resistance. The Veyron, (sp) uses aprx. 273 Hp to do the first 150mph and over 700Hp to do the next. So, the weight or inertia is only one factor of many but it is a contributing factor like mass and velocity.
just out of curiosity why letting the car go past and then accelerate first also. why holding back until the car goes past and then also why using the clutch ? that is a zx10 race bike the new ones have slipper clutches you don't need it increasing the speed of gear change. anyway sorry i'm a bike rider have been for many years and too many things wrong with this. the bike was purposeless letting the car past every time was holding the rev even knocking off the throttle for a bit.

that RS6 has only software modifications, it's ABT tuned to 700 hp, maybe exhaust change. They do not modify turbos or anything. So only standard RS6 biturbo turbos.
I'm confused? The ZX appears slower than the one's I've seen? Or is this RS6 unrestricted? I raced one on my old 750 SRAD, it was quick, but certainly didn't pass me like this one! I quite easily pulled away from it at 130? I did let him pass me at 140, only because I let him due to the feds being about...This car seems to fly!
2:10-2:28 i love and hate this part at the same time. so confusing if you compare the angle of the bike to what the "autobahn" direction looks like through this cam, it looks like its nearly a straight with a very light curve but the the bike angle shows how it rly is. strange to watch :D And the Audi just is not messing around haha
looking at the rate you are going past cars and trees etc i doesnt look like you are doing 186mph(300kph) i have done that and swear they move a lot faster past you than that. that looks still fast though but more the 140mph mark you change the sprockets on your bike for faster acceleration ?
Its a video you cant see the speed ik cuz when im doing 150mph and passing cars they pass really quick by my opinion im sure its 300kph since the fastest ive ever been is 155mph-250kph and this looks way faster
Sure was a fast Audi. Highly tuned no doubt. The ZX10 did a great job for some serious acceleration and staying in touch with the car. Flat out on a bike and sustaining it is hard work. I've ridden my ZZ14 on the Autobahn! I wonder how much the car cost compared to the ZX10?? Much, much more! Nevertheless, loved the vid and total respect to both rider and driver.:)
All japanese brands (and european, since 2004, I think), on their 1000 RR segment, limit the indicated speed to 299 km/h on the speedo. The bikes/engines themselves are not limited since, as you can see on this and other youtube vídeos the tachmeter of the bike keeps on slightly raising. The only real limited motorbikes 'til 300 km/h are the Hayabusa 1300 and ZX-14R, with electronic speed limiters. I own a 2008 Yamaha R1. It reaches 299 km/h max indicated speed on the digital speedometer @ 13.000 rpm and the tach climbs to 13.500 rpm with a little bit of descent slope, which is equivalente to 315 km/h indicated (there is an error of 7% associated with the speedo, according to my GPS). That would be equivalente to a max real speed of aprox. 293 km/h.
The loves of my life, a ZX10R afew mods that would bring the cost of the bike to less than a quarter of this car stock and it would whoop that car in some crazy ways, and secondly the Audi RS7 station wagon, this car stock is a freaking monster. So when I can afford both my life is complete.
seems like a lot of people dont know about modern motorcyles, this bike is 998cc not 1045cc as someone mentioned, its around 180hp at the wheel standard form around 190+hp with bolt ons they are all restriced to 186mph can be unlocked in the ECU and reach 336kmh on gps search youtube 208mph zx10r, the bike will do -060 in just over 2 seconds hit 150mph in high 9 sec low 10sec quarter mile. And when the bike has restricter option removed the speedo still stops at 299kmh or 189mph
+Jason G It doesn´t matter, if that's an MTM tunned RS6, then it's well above 730 horses on all 4 wheels, more than 1000 n/m torque. Right? The kawa could get up to speed fast but in the end the Audi will go over 355 Km/ wich will be to much for the bike. The only brake the bike will get will be on short straights, or in turns and bends roads. Still, a very good performance for the two intervenients in this video, I believe this little play time wasn't so casual as described, but, that's just my two cents...

and for your road and bike comment: sure we have some potholes on roads, and our indian made bikes are not faster than 70 mph. but if you count, the length of superhighways we have is more than any european country. and the number of people who can actually buy and maintain imported superbikes is also more than any developed nation. but is it a good option? perhaps not, we still have a billion people on road who need to travel to attend their business.
