I got the Wifi working on the ZX Omni! The software does some with the machine, but you can find that newer browser here: github.com/nihirash/moon-rabb...
Pretty cool. I don't I'll use this feature too much, though. A bit too primitive for my tastes. I'll stick to using my Omni for playing Jet Pac and other favorites of mine. I do like the looks of Castlevania on Turbo mode. I can't wait to try R-Type on Turbo too. I imagine I'll die every 30 secs.
Very strange. I would have thought it to support a regular terminal program so that BBS's could be "called" and software could be transferred. But I guess just like Vinyl these days, Gopher must be making a comeback!
There's meant to be more gopher sites today, than back when it was in its hey day. It should probably be able to support a terminal so long as someone writes one :) File transfer can be pretty hit and miss over TCP though.. latency tends to kill traditional XYZ modem transfers.
@@anthonyadverse4449 Latency doesn't affect X and Ymodem because they ACK/NAK every packet before sending the next one and have very generous timeouts, especially in light of modern transfer speeds over TCP/Telnet. But I haven't owned any spectrum computers yet, so I was unaware there were no terminal programs for it.
