Damn, thanks for the reminder. I had loads of these, this was the year I got properly hooked.

Gotta say, I remember this year better than the others so far. My favourite games out of these would have been Dizzy 2 and Rolling Thunder. Man I loved Rolling Thunder.....

I never heard of Ramparts, the fantasy themed Rampage clone. What a delightful retheme, with great pixel animations!

R-type on the speccy was truly a work of art. Phenomenal!

1988 was a banger
