Zyuranger: Burai Recieves Hellfried from Bandora 

I'm still finishing up stuff with school so please be patient as I finish it up then I'll get to do more comparisons. Why upload this, because this is a critical part of Zyuranger's Burai story that MMPR S1 didn't really address too much. How did Tommy get the Sword of Darkness/ Hellfried? It's assumed that Rita gave Tommy the sword, but we don't see any clip of her giving it to him (unless you read the Boom! comics :P) Parts from this Zyuranger episode I'm showing wasn't used at all in MMPR S1. Parts were used in Green With Evil Part 2 but that's about it (when Burai is fighting the other Zyurangers). I know some of you might ask why didn't Saban do a live action fight sequence with Tommy and Jason fight each other like Geki and Burai in the episode? Well there was considerations for a fight like this in Zyuranger to occur in the series but it was deemed too violent for the show so it didn't happen. Keep in mind MMPR was made in 1993 and even with all of the violence toned down from Zyuranger's still dark tone show it was still considered extremely violent for a kid show in the 90's. Zyuranger has a much deeper story. Power Rangers was watered down to American teen-drama. I respect both but Zyuranger engaged me more, and I grew up with Power Rangers as a kid.

My theory is that the Knight Burai faces is in reality his dead father. I wouldn’t put it past Bandora to do that.

Love MMPR, but zyuranger is far more interest. Far less corny, and the stakes are real in zyuranger.

the shape of the blade the blade’s thickness the tassle at the end of the hilt. If I didn’t know better, I’d say that Hellfried has the same mindset and style of a Chinese Sword or “Jian”

As dramatic as Zyruanger could be next to MMPR, the motivation of "take over the world!" is still the same. Bandora might be doing it because she sold her soul to Satan after losing her son to a dinosaur after said son stole her eggs, but Bandora and (for a time) Burai are still both trying to take over the world.

Those two compared, I must say: - The yellow Ranger was originally also a boy, in mmpr it was always a girl - Zyuranger has deeper story, Mmpr is more like a teen drama - It seems that mmpr copied a lot from Zyurangers - Some scenes were much shorter in mmpr than original Zyuranger, such as Dragon Dagger melody - Imo mmpr morphing scenes are a lot better. - They invented Zordon, Alpha and the command center for mmpr it seems

Wow so in the original slashes with bladed weapons cause little explosion even when they aren't morphed. Weird.

It's scenes like this that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers could've used their own footage and recreate their own take on this fight.

Dang Buri can handle Goldar unmorphed but Tommy can't wow.

Be honest, the only reason that people think Sentai is better is because they have different standards in terms of whats allowed on TV
