You didn't have to rock us like you did but you did but you did but you did, and we thank you! RIP Dusty Hill. May your beard continue to grow in the next world.
lemmy told me a little story about zz... he said he respected them as the greatest american rock band of all time. never any member change from day one!
It's 6-30-21, and still prescribe to this. Missed ' em on Deguello, but El Loco were my primera concert in East Dallas @ The Wintergarden. Two days after Christmas, and no opening act. Next day, Billy Bob's Texas in Foat Wurth. Then those tres hombres finished the tour in The "H". Fourth largest city in the nation, largest in the South!
My favorite album when it came out in 79’ and still my favorite ZZ-Top album in 2021. “Tonight it ain’t right, I got to have me a week but I’ll be back for you Jack and I’ll let the machine speak, that’s right, that’s right”
One of my favorite bands of all time. So much power to be a three piece. I remember stealing my dad’s eight track of Tres Hombres when I was five years old and have been hooked since. RIP Dusty Hill… keep that rhino farting in a trash can in heaven.
Tres hombres undeniably the best. Waitin for the bus, jesus just left chicago, beer drinkers and hell raisers, master of sparks, la Grange and move me on down the line. Damn nothing else to say.
I am Canadian.. and have loved Zed Zed Top since the day I was born!.. (OK, I only discovered them in 1978ish) but my nic name is ZZNed.. Met them in the 80's because I was a fan club member!.. back when you had to send messages by actual mail!... BTW, I drank all their beer that day, but I have pictures, and memories!
An album beyond description. They need a whole new chapter on musical theory just to define this album. A musical history lesson . The roots of Texas music are here in ways never done before. These guys ARE true genius.
ce vynil que j'avais acheté à sa sortie je l'ai usé jusqu'à la corde tellement j'ai kiffé dessus. la preuve, je l'écoute encore quasi 40 ans aprés. pour moi c'est un monument.
Mellow Down Easy, Dusty. RIP. Thank you and the guys for the soundtrack of my youth. I was 14 when your "First Album " was released. I ain't been the same since!!!!
Back in the 80's when they had that special 12 albums for a penny deal I got this album because the cover. I figured any band that has skulls, bullets and smoke on the cover, has to be good. My guess was spot on...lol
Got to watch Billy do a slow burn as the power supply kept failing at the Ionia Free Fairgrounds in Michigan, about 15 years ago. They got through the show, but it was dicey.
So many great albums to choose from here on this channel...so I couldn't help but listen to this one by ZZ Top.... in memory of the late Dusty Hill.... yes indeed play it again one more time....
Have mercy Miss Percy! 10/10 I love this album from start to finish! Every song is just killer. In my opinion this is ZZ Top's finest moment. I Thank You, Cheap Sunglasses, I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide, A Fool For Your Stockings..... The greatness just keeps coming at you. There was one more great one (El Loco) to come before the more polished and radio friendly stuff on Eliminator and Afterburner. I do really like those albums too but I'm partial to these earlier more blues based releases. They've never released anything that I actually dislike. 🎶 👍 🎸
