Page was a poet on the guitar. My little sister gave me this album when it came out. She's still a good sister.

Im 17 and I listen to Led Zeppelin every day

1975 I graduated from High School. Stairway to heaven was our class song. wore out 2 albums listening to this over and over.....still do at 65 yrs old

There is no Led Zeppelin song that doesn't bring back a good memory. I was 13yrs old when John Bonham died so I was never graced with the presence of seeing them live but that doesn't take away from the powerful energy that they bring into a room no matter where you're at. I grew up in the 70s as a kid listening to 50s and 60s music and of course country and Mom loved the blues. I first heard Led Zeppelin at the age of 11 and the song was Trampled under Foot and I was hooked for life. Rock music had taken over my life and instead of going to the Department store's toy section as a kid, I went to the music section instead. This band has carried me from grade school and throughout all of my adult life. I'm 57, I still enjoy this band today as I did the first day I heard them. It's timeless music, it never gets old and always puts me in a good mood. When Robert Plant went on a solo career, I followed and was able to see him in concert at that level. I saw him 3 times during that period and he'd always throw a few Zeppelin songs in the mix and the place would go crazy. I'll always be a Led Zeppelin fan

I'm pretty sure both my kids were conceived listening to this album, 40+ years ago. It never gets old. Seriously, we were blessed to have grown up listen the best music! Led Zep, Beatles, Black Sabbath, come on, maybe that was heaven and we didn't even realize it😂

This album is one of the greatest albums ever, in my opinion!

This album has always been a fovorite of mine and always will be. Lots of good memories going back to my high school years playing it loud on my Craig Powerplay 8 Track Stereo. Lol loved it. 👍😎😁

I was 12 in 1972 and their music was so raw, powerful rock. The concert at MSG NY in 1973, they were at their peak, Roberts voice never sounded better, back then they were huge here in America but in their home country of England they weren't. Kinda funny.

I'm 55 and still love those guys as much as when I first layed ears on them. BONZO RIP

Led Zeppelin music had a enormous amount of influence on me. I have great respect for the surviving members when they disbanded out of respect for John.

Every single song is magical.

I listen to Led Zep and it is like they show me a quick glimpse (though many times, in many ways) of a different kind of world - what is probably, but not necessarily, a better kind of world. As a boy I was allowed these glimpses and I really needed them, but it was never, and could not be, an idyllic, romantic or simplistic way out. Musically it was (and every time is) so familiar and yet unrecognisable. I have never been able to put my finger on what it is about Led Zep that has this unique character and the concomitant effect upon me: taking me to 'places' I never knew existed, or rather can never be certain that they ever did, do or will exist, yet inviting me to accept that these possible 'places' can be glimpsed by any of us, at any time, but can never be taken for granted, fully understood - or commercialised.

This brings me back to my high school days when I played it on my stereo. Mother shouted up the stairs, "Turn down that NOISE!" (Now to think that it is grandma's music.)

One of the best albums ever. Let's face it, you could say that about ALL of the Zeppelin albums though.

There are a lot of great rock LP's from back in the 70's. There are very few perfect ones. This is a perfect musical statement by the band IMHO.

Listent to all kinds of music, especially rock. There have been and are loads of brillant groups undeniably, but whenever I listen to Led Zep my immediate sense is one of ’aaah I’m home!' This IS the pinnacle of rock, untouchable, unbeatable. PERFECTION.

82 High School grad here & we chose Long Time by Boston but even Jimmy & Robert would agree 12 years is a long time. We all loved Zeppelin the best. So many love fests were achieved with them in the background. Other than Mary Soch none of the girls knew that Zep was playing during the smooching time. Hi Mary. :)

A long, long, long time ago, I was in the radio shack on a US Navy tin can (destroyer for non-sailors) in the Med when we tuned in a station from a long way off. It was a Rock station, and we had one of our receivers tuned in. (Don't worry, we had several more receivers than we needed on that cruise - no commodores in the flag cabin.) The Ops Boss wandered in and heard the music, and asked if we could route to the Bridge and CIC (commonly known as 'Combat'). So, we did. Some time later (I was still on watch) and we heard some simple notes which got everyone's attention (at least under 30) so we cranked it up a bit (only in the shack!) But, we got a quick click from Combat to "turn it up!!" So, since we were sailing solo, had all the necessary circuits covered, we cut it loose. Then the bridge clicked in, and the OOD said "Crank it up!" The Captain walked on to the bridge and ordered it routed ship wide. So, for about 15 minutes, everyone aboard heard one of the great Zep songs. We kept that station on as long as it could be received, and heard several very good songs.

the first time stairway to heaven was played live was in the ulster hall in belfast , i was just born a little to late 1967 but ive listened to this album hundreds of times im 56 now and it sounds as good now as it did then timeless

I can't forget the shock of listening to this album for the first time. All the songs are great, but I would say that "Stairway to Heaven" stands out among them. It is well known that the master Karajan described this song as "If I were to play this piece with an orchestra, It's not requires no further arrangement".

What a classic piece of true ART that is timeless. There is such a range of musicality demonstrated by a band that was in a class by themselves. When the Levee Breaks still ranks as one of those rare gems.

high school 1987-90. favorite band to research in the record stores around indianapolis, then going 4x4 in vacant cornfields doing donuts,drinking whiskey, safely of course, because we were underage and supposed to be camping . It was the right music for a newbie to the city from outside cleveland in a rural area. It made the transition flow because this band is timeless!! Just as good if not better than when they taped it.
