Threw me for a minute when you opened the bleeder and started pumping. Then I realized that your bleeder kit probably had a check valve in it so that the air wouldn't re-enter the caliper. I was taught to put pressure on the brake lever/pedal and then open the bleeder with the wrench. Then close it before releasing the lever/pedal. Your set-up would be really helpful when doing the front since I can't reach the left caliper and pump the lever.
alanhassall hi and thanks for watching. Yes I have a bleeder kit that has a one way valve. I’ve used it on all my bikes. It’s still a bit fiddly but easier than ‘pull open close release’!
