I found something that often helps with rider's block is to get somebody else to look at it or hire a ghostwriter to work on part of the story. If somebody else alters my story I have a easier time working on it cause it gets my juice is going

I think metal skin is far to high and deserves to be in F tier simply cause of aura so adding another layer of defense just double drains your aura reserves.
I disagree with your view on freewill. Imagine a football game that you missed but recorded; just because the outcome is already decided, it doesn't mean the players on both teams won't go all out to win and that you won't cheer or boo alongside the crowd. Also, when our alarms go off, we decide whether to get up or not, even if someone else already knows what we'll decide.
I think photographic memory is a bit low since I recall it also being usable in non combat scenarios like lockipicking or how to move your mouth to speak different dialects or have different access useful for spy work. The learn enhancement in general is just really good
with memory wiping going up against Robins power, Robins power doesnt go off of weather or not she knows the truth but rather if it REALLY is the truth. the power that copies semblances is like Peter Petrelli from heroes had some good meme edits in this video, laughed a few good times.
Good video. But your comedic timing needs a lot of work. Maybe the jokes and references would land better if you cut them in, while you are making your explanations, as opposed to after.
Regarding silver eyes, it's confirmed those _only_ work against Grimm. I can't recall where it was stated, but it was said the can't even be activated unless Grimm are nearby.

@@ringkunmori Not that Grimm arm, remember how initially Cinder absorbed only half of Amber's maiden powers? Originally the plan was for Cinder to absorb the Maiden's power through a glove with a parasitic grimm in order to act as the medium for transferring the Maiden's powers. Unfortunately for Cinder, Qrow intervened and the Grimm glove, supposedly being a one time use, detached and with only half of the maiden's power just fused into Cinder's arm instead, resulting in that black back tattoo we've seen. It's the same reason why when Ruby used her silver eyes again at haven academy it affected Cinder again, except this time for more overt reasons as she now shows she's Grimm, and not Raven as although she's also a maiden, she naturally had the powers transferred to her. Tldr: Cinder cheated, Raven's natty, mommy salami gave Cinder implants to make her feel better and Ruby's got x-ray flashbang vision yall
As someone who started following this back when Rahi were the Toa's main foe and Bohrok were the new bad guys, you have successfully made me feel old. I followed the comics for years and they (and the movies) were the main media I experienced the story through. I stumbled on the CG cartoon once on Netflix during the pandemic and that was the first time I engaged with that short revival. Seeing what they did to my favorite character Pohatu was ... disheartening to say the least.
I remember some of the comics and then I found out about the films through the mask of light I don't know if there was anything before that but it sounds like there was
So for how Watts was able to gain easy access, a good chunk of it comes from how he wrote the codes for Atlas and Mantle's security systems, and that would probably extend to the Amity Arena. Plus, he's a hacker as well and is good at making viruses. The virus he put in Beacon's systems, Ironwood's scroll, and by extension the Amity Arena, likely left him a back door for him to fall back on should he need to access them again. As for why Ironwood confronted Watts head on, I dunno. Rule of cool maybe? I mean, he knows he just gave Watts a massive advantage for this fight, which means he was prepared for being at a disadvantage. And back to the rule of cool, this was Watts's only fight, so it had to be a spectacle, which it was. Also, Ironwood did not exhaust his gravity rounds necessarily. He lost his gravity gun when Watts shot it out of his hand. Yeah, that black gun was his gravity gun.
5:04 I don’t see how Yang could be fatigued at all when the last thing she did that could’ve have depleted it was her fight against Salem which was hours ago nor she wasn’t really tired by that encounter and she got back to Schnee Manor which she should’ve already eaten up some time ago so she should be in pretty good condition.
personally changes i would make super speed, freeze, pocket dimension and invulnerability all need to go to B tear you made all kinds of assumptions to move them to s and powers like stay and invulnerability come with huge draw backs if the fight lasts more than a minute tock is dead and most fights in ruby last more than minute now she has an advantage of being able to go all out for that minute but she has too marrows semblance is only good in a team if his solo his dead his semblance may as well be useless and can be used for nothing more than delaying the inevitable if he is on the losing end of a fight pocket dimension can only store inanimate objects from what we've seen it also takes time on size and I think the assumption that it can be used like that in a fight is just wrong Harriet's semblance is just a weaker ruby semblance and you put her above ruby lie detection is useless in a fight even by your own words and for the same reason rens semblance went down to C and I agree lie detection should also be in c shore lie detection is useful and stuff but so is being invisible to grim but they both require too much to be at there best potential invisible field should be in B again great at stealth but only useful in specific situations magic should not be on this list and your insane to put it in B it is well above S moon slice and via sun should be in B tear moon slice is just legitimately a better yang power and the reason you put yang's in c was for the need to take damage and its consumption of aura moon slice doesn't have that it should be in B sure via sun makes sun unable to move but so does freeze and you put that in S but while freeze is literally useless without allies sun has four versions of himself that can fight defend ect yea his out of the picture but four immortal clones are now in why is it in C so what I would do S Polarity, overactive imagination, hallucinations A Petal burst, glyphs, shadow, aura vines B Aura amp, scorching caress, aura disruption, kindred link, super speed, freeze, pocket dimension. invulnerability, invisible field, moon slice, via sun C Burn, high voltage, Tranquillity, numbing agent, good fortune, aura roots, lie detection F misfortune, mettle also misfortune and Mettle you act like its bad writing to have them at such a low tier but there draw backs are intentional you do the sound affect after you wouldn't choose this if you had the choice and yea ironwood and qrow would agree but you don't choose your semblance and there not meant to be balanced you also said clovers semblance was bad writing saying you might end up relying on it ect but yet again that is the point clover is based of the asop of the lucky fisherman that didn't know how to fish but was lucky enough for it not to matter one day his luck ran out and he was ruined for it like what happens in the show he actively makes a point to show what's skill and what's not and he is meant to be a foil to qrow also rounding magic as one power is incorrect you mentioned how oz and salem do so much more than the maidens even though its both magic and yes because oz made the maidens with his magic they don't have the same power just as qrow and ravens power isn't considered as strong as the maidens as far as we know oz and salem can do literally anything the maidens however we know how there power works they can control and use the power of dust without it needing to be there this is why its mostly elemental because dust is mostly elemental but they can also use gravity dust and act upon its as though its every where they can use hard light dust they can make resources out of nothing they can do so much it is well above semblances without any debate its just better.
Salems plan to breed magic into the populace is more sound than u might think. First you argued that it takes Oz and Salem to make magic kids. But there is something you overlooked there. It may be that only Salem has the biology for magic as Oz is in a hoste. Thus you only need salems genes. As for the birth defects and incest. We have two methods to remove that both of which are kinda gross but she is a villain. First is that magic may have the power to overcome such defects. Or with careful calculations you could avoid it being a problem based on separating the gene pool. As those defects become less a problem if you just space it all out. It's a very slow plan. And would probably include some genocides as time moved on and people refused to get with the program.
This scene was definitely shot on a splinter unit with a day or two to shoot it (I'm a film technician, I see the signs LOL). Lots of handheld shooting with static wide shots for establishing character positions and terrain, quick cut close-ups for the action to hide imperfections, and minimal lighting set up. This often happens when there is a heavy time and/or budget constraint on the scene, usually because the budget has been spent elsewhere, and is a tertiary scene. Also, a different director often comes into to shoot these scenes while the Main Unit director is shooting elsewhere at the same time, which is why the scene doesn't have the exact same aesthetic as the rest of the show (I'm only speculating but this scene feels like it was shot on a less expensive camera, which would explain the flatter colors and muddier definition than the rest of the season).
Why does this game look so good on PC? Fired this up just now on pc after forgetting about it and wow it looks pretty good for a game that came out more than a decade ago.
I think a good way to "evolve" Yang's semblance is that she can manually deplete her own aura to power up and recover some of it whenever she lands hits, this would improve her sustainability and give her a way to win a fight without taking too much damage and running out of aura. Maybe it even adds a passive ability where she automatically regenerates aura in sunlight.
Personally I would put Moonslice in A tier or at the very least B tier since it really does seem like a better version of Yang's semblance. The idea that it strictly *requires* him to use a sword doesn't make sense to me since then it would break the rules of the setting- what with legit every other semblance not requiring an object (yes even Raven doesn't need her sword to open a portal). Plus depending on who you ask he can use the energy he stores to create clones (which thinking about it means his semblance has similar abilities of Blakes other love interest- Yang *and* Sun) and can legit *delete* certain enemies at a high enough level
I loved this game. It's my personal headcannon that the reason the main LOTR cast didn't see much conflict (I'm exaggerating of course) between the major setpeice battles, is because every enemy in the immediate area were too focused on the game characters trying to grind out their skills xD
How are you going to penalise Ruby’s semblance for not being used correctly and then put Fiona’s in S tier even though we’ve never seen her “absorb” organic matter before???
I hate how they turn the game semblance into something that makes her stupid in the first three seasons she was still completely in control and it wasn't even a last resort power up she can use it even with the slightest amount of damage
I love the little comedy cuts, they're so good. Dance music while Arthur is twirling his swords, Markiplier meme, the little Mario hop, A+ no notes. This fight really is a mess. Like so many others, it's made to look good only so long as you don't think about it; so many flourishes. I guess most Hollywood/TV choreographers just don't know anything about combat but what they've seen in other movies/shows. That or the directors have too much say over the fight choreography...
Thank you. I try to add some fun gags here and there so that it's not like a history lesson where the teacher just drones on about something. This scene works with the majority of viewers, who don't look too closely at fight choreography, but a lot of media these days substitutes quality for flashy-but-bad moves and quick camera cuts. That's a large factor in why I encourage in-depth analysis. The good media gets even better when you notice all the details.
This fight is even worse if you consider the books. In the books it would have been a 7 v 3. Dane also had his houses sword Dawn which is legendary for a reason. I hope if the asoiaf is finished the books do it better.
I find it odd that Dayne and his companion (companions if it's a 7v3) don't use the perfectly good tower right behind them. A narrow entrance means that Ned and his group can't use their numbers to their advantage. I'm not certain how the books handled this sequence, as I've only seen the show.
@@TheDual-Wielder We haven’t even seen the fight in the books yet. The whole tower of joy sequence feels weird when you take into account who was there. I will try to properly get it across to the best of my memory. Ned stark pulls up on horseback with 6 other riders. We only get the name for one of the other riders, but it currently escapes me. It is safe to say these are all experienced fighters as they were veterans of Roberts rebellion who had taken Kings Landing by this point. They see ser Gerold Hightower, ser Arthur Dane and one other king’s guard with a bat crest. The last one’s name escapes me and I might have the first name of the Hightower wrong. These 3 knights are all in full plate and are known to be very skilled. This fight is actually pretty even since these kings guard are extremely dangerous. I wouldn’t be surprised if the two not named Arthur are able to fight and beat multiple opponents at once. Ser Arthur Dane on the other hand is a different beast entirely. He is constantly hyped up or referenced as this peak of swordsmanship. It is safe to say he was the best swordsman in living history in Westeros in not in history. It is important to note that we have never really seen him in a desperate fight. I’m now going to explain his sword because it is very important to why he’s so strong. So Arthur uses the two handed sword Dawn. This is in my opinion one of the few truly magical weapons outside of valerion steel. Some people think it is a valerion steel blade it is not since it(Dawn) was forged from a meteorite and not fire/blood magic. It also might be stronger then valerion steel blades which have been said to cut through steel so take that as you may. In order for a member of the house of Dane to traditionally wield Dawn they haft to prove themselves worthy of it. How you prove yourself I don’t know, but it probably is being honorable and being really fucking good at fighting. So once you do you get the title sword of the morning, and this is Arthur Dane’s title. Now how good is he. Well good enough to fight five opponents while taking a leak. So basically with only one hand. Oh who are these opponents oh the other kings guard which included a younger Baristion and Jamie. Now this is a statement from a person reminiscing on the past so not the most accurate thing. Though statements like this are consistently made when in comes to Arthur. Even without fighting in the tower I honestly don’t know how the kings guard trio lost. It probably was a numbers thing though it could be that two of the members are alive. Sorry if the is incomprehensible I wrote this while tired and in the early morning.
Personally I think a reverse script would probably work well with 2 long swords because your area in which your swords play wouldn't cross each other as much
The main issue with a reverse grip (other than it reducing your effective range) is that you need to move your arms or body much more than if you held your weapon normally. Instead of a quick thrust, you'd have to bring your arm all the way across your body first, which is easier to see coming due to how much slower that is.
@@TheDual-Wielder You have your sword in your other hand which you can be used for reaching normally. And then you would use the reverse script more as a shield then as a means of attacking.
While Moon Slice doesnt have any stated Upper limit to what it can absorb we have seen it absorb some absurd damage IE The Giant Lazer he absorbed in the Black trailer, And Unlike Yang and Nora Adam is able to one shot most foes who try to tank or go through it, With the one exception being Yangs arm, Id argue it at least hits B for being an objective improvement over Burn and Noras semblance. Also as an addendum, It also seemingly boosts the user when they have energy stored since he seems to move faster while juiced up in Yangs fight
5:26 She actually turns *into* rose petals and in that state, she can even momentarily split into multiple clusters to dodge attacks, as shown when the Harambe Grimm throws rocks at her in the Vol 4 character short, which is even better.
Also Ruby's petal rose as explain in v8, can break herself down to her molecular componets. If I am not wrong this can implie that she can be untangible when using correctly. Right?
OK my belief is that semblances are single spells and all can be used with magic if you trained. Ozma only gave up his Elemental spells to the maidens which left him weakened. He mostly uses speed and sheild spells, but his cane dose function kind of like Moonslice if you think about it. As for Salem I don't think she knows a lot of spells besides her grimm magic and basic attacks.
