I sometimes wonder if Sarah Tansey ******-off the Heartbeat producers as I felt, towards the end, she got some really crappy roles !. I liked both of them, Jenny & Merton !

The streets are shockingly clean compared to 2023 down the Uxbridge Road which was possibly the last time I will visit London because to do so now incurs taxation if you are in an older car even as far away as twenty miles from London. I spent a lot of time in London during lockdown and I have to say a great time to visit as no one about so you could park down side streets again if you did it covertly before relaxing in St Luke’s and walking along the Thames and Chelsea Bridge. I even drove straight through Hangar Lane at peak time. The only times I had driven through Hangar Lane without stopping previously was around 4am.

I left there in 1966, and to this day I've regretted it, like most of you oldies I miss it every day, my Sister talked me into coming to Australia the worst decision I ever made, don't get me wrong Australia is a good country and I've done very well here, I drove the big red buses out of Wood Green Bus Depot, I lived down West Green road in Number 6 Belmont road with my Brother and his family, I still to this day bring up Wood Green and travel through with my imaginary bus run on the 269's from Enfield Town to Tottenham Court Road down through Trafalgar Square and the houses of Parliament and number 10 Downing Street, now I come to this page on the internet and it brings all the memories back again, but if it's like most of you say I suppose I'm glad I'm not there anymore, very sad to hear.

Central and West London is still like this lol. If u want to look at old beautiful parts of London that turned into dumps look at Newham or Tower hamlets old videos. Central and West London where elites live will always be clean and nice to live in and keep improving

It's interesting to hear from those who remember this signalling the end of the weekend. For those of us who greaw uo in the 70s and early 80s it was Last of the Summer Wine that held that role!!

Multiculturalism and mass immigration has destroyed much of England - When England was English and we were a proud nation. How lost is our country now. It’s truly devastating what’s happening to our once great nation 😢

I’m not sure if it’s the filming, but these years just felt magical even watching these videos from a time before I was born. So it can’t be childhood nostalgia.

I despise Heartbeat. I associate it with my Ex's tyrannical father who loved it and forbade that anyone ring the doorbell or call their landline when this horrible program was on. Nothing but trauma and negative associations come to mind when I hear this anxiety inducing theme tune.

The real men of London need to wear their dark suits, grey (non-skinny) pants, and bowlers again. (The only bloke who still wears a bowler is Julian McDowell of Joolz Guides). No more Emirates sports tops at work, or rando hoodies, or shirts without ties. Put the garment district and haberdashers back to work; these clothes are a proud part of British Heritage. Heck you invented the bowler, top hat, and evening jacket. Jeans look too casual. Just start doing it once or twice a week to get the ball rolling. Your loved ones and colleagues will look up to you again with respect. The rest will follow.

After the Blitz, Englishmen rebuilt their beautiful homes, villages and towns. For a time, there was joy and sweet excitement in the land, and the men became sleepy, oblivious and suggestible. The next phase of attack began. Who needed the Blitz this time? Look how easily it has been destroyed with the war on the mind of men. Our fathers sacrificed their life in the innocent belief that they were saving their children. Little did they know, as they dug their own graves, that the children of their sons would be freely offered as sacrifice.
