Great video! This show looks amazing, the gags rule. More slime content, please! Also, I never expected I'd heard a Beneath the Tangles reference in a youtube video, that blog is ANCIENT!
XD It was my first time reading it but it was one of the few places with launch day opinions on the anime...and I just LOVE how he described it! ESPECIALLY after today's episode where Puniru was EXTRA cutely horrifying!
Ahh, this is perfect. Almost just in time for Asuka 120% EXALLENT. Yes, EXA has taken interest in this old franchise, and intends to bring it to arcades. 😊
I remember Queen's Blade's Melona too. Especially her projectiles that would fire from her "SO MANY OPPAI". I do think that Monster Musume played a really large role with Suu's character that brought about the Slime Girl fantasy. With Puniru giving me those wholesome Hare & Guu comedy vibes, this show looks like a good one.
Oh ABSOLUTELY! The Monster Musume anime is also the exact point when people switched from using the phrase "Goo Girl" to "Slime Girl". ...I've been meaning to do a Slime Girl History video thanks in no small part to a Japanese blog that also tried to solve that mystery.
This is an amazing video about Puniru. I love this series and want more people to understand these things that you described. I have an idea: you should go on Otaku Spirit’s he just released and leave a comment explaining some of these things to him. Cause he really likes the show but he didn’t really understand some of the stuff it was trying to do. I think he would be super happy to know you made this analysis making it more logical. Also this video you made is just super good in general you explained it so well. So I think this idea could help you get more credit
I sometimes feel like somewhere along the way people have forgotten how to enjoy gag animes. I loved shows with this style of humour in the 80s/90s, but it seems they often go down poorly these days.
it kind of reminds me of ika musume anime, from the point of being build up from small chapters, and the story being based on clash of common sense of a unearthly indyvidual and a human and also ika musume was a show strangely devoid of fanservice in favor of telling stories each episode even though it is one long bech episode over all, swimsuits are just treated as regular clothes i think i will watch this show just because of thatclash of common senses thing, well someone has to observe the situation to click a panic button when she turn into solution from overlord :P
This video was originally published 3 days ago but got copyright struck and it took me a bit to resolve it all. So if you're getting a feeling of Deja Vu? That's why. You've just been in this town before. Higher on the street but I know it's my time to go.
I've heard about how this game had a troubled development and several play-testers quit after the devs quote "Refused to listen to constructive criticism or basic feedback", but seeing it in action is darkly hilarious.
What's the name of the game that's show in the intro that's the 2nd game from right side, it's a shooter game with an IU that has big circle with red color on it? Image search engines failed to find the game. Edit: nevermind, it turned out it's Crimson Sea
while i like the idea of people getting to make their own art eaiser. i dont like the idea that its used as a crutch, i think corridor digital's anime Rock paper scizzors idea is really good! if they just like, used mocap and special effects. also use your own art to train the AI, and not stolen art. all of that being said, i think AI has some great use cases! like, maybe if a game has a "sanity bar", and if it gets too low, shove all the assets into the AI and watch what it spits out! i think that would be an amazing idea to make the player feel... uneasy...
Gen AI is Photoshop, After Effects, etc 3.0 or 2.0. or whatever... you get the idea. It's just a new tool and just like the tools did before more and more people can make and create things than ever could before. This comes with potentially huge disruptions to current workflows and artists that have already 'made it' in the industry sure.. but overall in the long run this is a miassive win for humans in general... as long as the government doesn't step on it too hard.
Man THAT'S a thing I need to discuss because there are some sneaky people out there. Apparently Adobe is actually funding some of the anti-AI groups? Because it's all about the "stolen art" and Adobe Firefly is built entirely on images that are either public domain or Adobe legally owns so if they can get that through? OOPSIE! MONOPOLY! Quite clever. Awful, but clever.
Hmmm...I mean most of what I shared was just me bopping around random places but the person who made Dead Sea (linked in the description), "Theoretically Media" has some good videos as does that one film maker guy I showed, Haydn Rushworth.
Yup! This. I love the stuff AI lets me do and I love artists so it can be a tricky balancing act. I personally think a lot of the companies that replaced real people with AI are gonna be in for a rude awakening...except for journalism and translation. Journalism because "quantity over quality" has been the motto of a lot of sites for more than a decade now and translation because modern translators like to screw around and change things too much. BUT EVERYTHING ELSE is another story.
I don't know if you know this, but for people who like content from japan, like video games and artbooks, the google translate app on my phone has a camera mode where you can look at japanese text on a youtube video in real time and it will guess translate it, or you can click the snap picture button and it will decisively translate it, which is pretty cool. It almost works as a universal translator, I was using it on a youtube video for dragon quest 3 nes where a japanese person was talking about their preference for the nes version of the game because the boss music was magnificant in comparrison to the more higher fidelity more orchastra friendly music. I could see what he was talking about, but they both sounded great, I think he was just more in progressing through the nes(or fc) version of the game and thus related to it far more.
I get that, honestly. Take Super C's "Hotter than Hell" into account: The original and most remixes sound "harsh and gritty", as if they were made using the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive soundchip. The NES/Famicom remix, on the other hand, has a "softer", more techno-like feel, which is more pleasant to listen to (and is more catchy!).
nice video man! I'm, thinking about redoing my subscriptions so that I have more channels and videos like these talking about stuff I actuallly like, artbooks videogames from japan and games like galaxy fight which have great sound design... anyway, something for me to think about.

Oh man I wish Namco reboot Ridge Racer again but make it the same as Ridge Racer type 4 & 7. Cool story, beautiful art style, fun gameplay and impressive graphics. And make Reiko a little bit older. I can't man seeing younger Reiko it just feel wrong seeing young girl age 15 16 racing and look sexy. I am more prefer Reiko type 4 cus she looks mature
The game should be called DTF Duel with how amazing all the character designs are. Seriously, I've never seen a fighting game, or just media franchise in general with such consistently SS tier designs.
Funny thing is this game sold over 25 million copies. So the excuse to claim the game will bankrupt the company is both a lie and a dumb way of thinking 😂
