SLG has said that the discs/carts will have patches included on them. Also the cutscenes are going to be translated into English and other languages with an upcoming patch.
@@GELTONZ Well hopefully they fix all of the issues with 100% and Panorama too when they release the English cutscene patches, cause these games are messes right now (Panorama ESPECIALLY).
Hey Game Babble, thanks for making this vid, I messaged both ININ Games and Ratalaika on twitter about this (also mentioned the bugs present in Cotton 100% - aspect ratios not working, the cheat menu being viewable after clearing the regular game). Hopefully they're already aware of these issues and can patch everything soon.
Hey again Game Babble, do you own Panorama Cotton digitally on PS4 or Switch? A new patch just dropped for Panorama Cotton on PS4 (not sure about if on Switch yet), but adds translation to the cutscenes along with additional bug fixes though not sure what bugs were fixed. But just wondering what the translation looks like for the cutscenes.
Game Babble, the PS4 version of Panorama Cotton got a 1.01 patch today that apparently fixes these bugs. I'm still waiting on confirmation if it fixed all of the bugs or not though
FUCK YEAH! I shall indeed be comparing when it hits Switch! ...actually heck with it, I'll buy the PS4 version. I love this game and want it on everything.
@@GELTONZ There's also another patch coming to translate the cutscenes and stuff into English for the first time officially (there have been rom hacks with English translations)
I just ordered Cotton Rock n Roll and planning to buy the Reboot, didn't know they released this too. I wonder if they fixed it by now (probably not lol) Also GEL, will you get the Valis collection? I ordered the Japanese version, because THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL that the LRG edition is worth those extra 20 bucks just for some subtitles
Interesting. Question- is this the only stage where these troubles occur, or did you just film this particular stage and there are other disappeared sprites elsewhere? Between this and the severe lag I heard about from that Cotton Saturn collection, it seems people aren't kidding when they say saturn emulation is complex... or that the Cotton franchise has had poor luck in terms of what developers it ends up with.
Yeah this is a Genesis game so it's not the Saturn emulation at fault. There ARE missing sprites in other stages but Stage 2 is the absolute worst. Like Stage 1 is just missing some background rocks but that entire second half of Stage 2 is FUBAR. I figure if they can fix Stage 2 the rest of the game should be fixed because it's basically like some sprite layer is missing or something. Basically I wanted to do this video quick and didn't have time to do a full side by side playthrough. Just...yeah...fix Stage 2 and the rest SHOULD fall into place.
I haven't tried the PS4 version but most likely. I haven't heard anyone say the PS4 DOESN'T have this problem as it's likely a bug with the emulator they're using and not the system.
@@StudioMudprints So here's the thing: By default the game has shot cooldown turned off which makes it COMICALLY easy! Seriously just hold the fire button and win! So they probably think they destroyed everything they missed! Which is fair. I literally didn't notice the missing Mini Boss when I first played through because I killed it so fast with that auto fire!
@@GELTONZ The shot cooldown toggle is only for Standard mode which has a cheat menu. You can play the Challenge mode which is the game's original form.
