1:49 Anbernic themselves have started to use better quality SD cards for internal, I bought mine directly from them in China and have the same blue SD card. However, the 128 card you can buy extra is not branded and I corrupted after the second time I tried flashing a CFW to it, where as the blue branded one I've flashed Knulli, muOS, and back to Knulli again and it's still working perfectly .. definitely a better card
Wrong. Its got 0 to do with software its hardware. Its just a port pcsx2 which itself is based on hacks there is no known accurate PS2 emulator its 30 years away if that we are just getting to the start of 1:1 saturn emulation now. Float point hacks run based on chip power the more power you got the better emulation. The only real modern PS2 emulator which is PLAY! which is more than 10 years away from being useable because its being worked on by 1 guy.
Aup mate I've screwed up my rg28xx 😆 only wanted to install muos on it and all doom wads and quake games because it didn't come with any and I've messed it up big-time mate I don't suppose you know anybody who could put it right for me do you please man im an idiot 😩😂
Great video! I bought the transparent blue, and I am in love with this thing. It came straight from the factory with a Kioxia SD card, so I think Anbernic has finally figured out that sending a decent SD card makes for a much better user experience. IMHO, Retroarch is hands-down the absolute best experience for playing retro games. I don't think anyone would miss the Games Room if it disappeared tomorrow.
This device was an almost buy from me, it was just so damn close to being perfect. If it had a better soc, used higher quality plastic, controller sized inputs. I would love for them to once make a console with the mindset of “a screen attached to a controller” and not the other way around. The screen they used for this device is sublime, so close that I’m certain the next iteration is going to be as perfect as it gets.
They updated the stock OS last week. It's really good. Fixed all the issues with hinge sleep mode. And added quick shutdown and resume using RA states. It works great now. All the xx models have been upgraded with RA 1.18.0 so multiplayer is great between all xx models.
I got mine about a week ago and loving it, i usually make hand grips for all my emulation handheld devices but I’ve ordered some and are in the mail getting dropped off today so cant wait for that comfortablilty im always looking for 🙏🏽
1:55 I don't think GoGameGeek gets any credit for the microsd card. I bought my RG35XXSP and RG280V direct from Anbernic, and my RG280V and RG353PS from Amazon, and they all came with the same Kioxia microsd card.
I got my RG SP direct from Anbernic at launch and it had that same Kioxia 64 GB card (but yes, a RG35xx original I got a year ago had those generic black 64 gb cards of low quality).
install muos. it has an auto shutdown feature after a certain period of time in sleep when closing the lid which conserves the battery. Combine this with retroarch's auto save and load feature and you can easily resume games from shutdown state (just have to choose resume game in the device startup setting)
After playing this and then playing the 28XX, I just can't seem to get past the clicky buttons. They feel horrible to press and add to major hand fatigue vs. a soft membrane.
I wish it had soft membrane buttons and d-pad, no clicks. Too frickin loud to enjoy. Look like an ass whipping this out at a library or doctor office. I prefer the plus model..better looking screen in the plus and h😉😉😉
Love these videos, I've nearly beaten the elite 4 on Pokémon Fire Red using my SP but I can't play in bed. My wife can't stand the clicky D-pad at night. I'll just have to buy another handheld... :)
I absolutely adore my 28XX, I use it every day and it’s made me leave my 35XXH in the dust until an action based PS1 game really calls me. The 28XX is the first ACTUALLY pocketable handheld that doesn’t stick out like an obscure growth 😂
Don't even worry. I was prepared to mod the buttons by adding electrical tape to soften the clickiness due to the widespread complaints about the pressure needed to press the buttons. It's all a sham. Maybe it's cause I have working man hands and not soft office body hands. Even so my wife with her princess hands thought it wasn't too clicky. I enjoy the buttons don't ever feel tired or exhausted from play.
I feel reviewers were abit too harsh on the clickyness of the d-pad and buttons honestly. Didn't bother me at all but I understand how it may bother some people tho.
@@dejhauntetonga7785yes the reviewers were really harsh indeed. The clicky buttons don't bother me, I like the feel, but they bother my wife. I can't play the xxSP in bed, I wake her up. So it does kinda suck. Gotta switch to the quiet. xxh
Just wish it had sticks on the bottom. For the price it's pretty good, but I feel like these things come out so often I'll just keep playing my 3DS XL :)
I'm the opposite - I was really pleased it came without analog sticks. When the Miyoo Flip was first leaked, the first thing I did was to research the feasibility of removing the sticks and replacing them with some sort of plug. My hands cramp up just thinking about using sticks on a device like this. If I'm emulating a system that needs sticks, I'm going to use a horizontal device.
I Have a anbernic 353v. Works great but after using for few days, touchscreen became unresponsive especially on the Android os. Sometimes it works but most of the time it isn't. Sometimes it's ghost touching. I've already found many people on the internet forums with the same problem and they haven't resolve the issue. really disappointing since I like it's form factor.
