I used those same setting for Pokémon XD and I can only get around 16 to 20 fps any tips?

F-Zero GX can perform a LOT better than this just so you know by tweaking its settings in Dolphin as an individual game. Not to mention all these games can run 16:9 very well either through widescreen hack, gecko codes, or even in some cases (again, F-Zero GX as an example) with a native widescreen setting option.

I think he’s expressed his preference for native aspect ratios in the past and one which I share. Everyone is different though. Also, I prefer to see a review of a piece of hardware without tweaks as it’s important to compare like for like. Furthermore, some people like to play around with settings and others just want to fire up them game and have a good time.

@@modestyblaise4167 I can understand that. The one thing I would say however is as a review of something that can’t be a one box ticks all (even Nintendo tweak their emulator between NSO drops to make games work as well as possible), it’s an unfair take on a product to not make changes to emulators on a game by game basis.

@@ben-tendo I disagree. I think most people want something that can be picked up and played without a ton of tweaks. I know I don't want to spend my time messing with settings and trying to find the optimal speed, which is why I got an Odin 2 Pro. It'd be great if this was the same way. But the good news is it looks like MOST games are fine, just the one bad result.

@@TVsBen⁠I more mean it’s less about what people want, it’s about people for a £120 device not expecting £400 performance without needing to do tweaks that make things work the same way most games do on a £400 device and on an OLED 1080p display.

Cheers guys. I definitely do prefer original aspect ratio and on the channel aim to focus on out of the box performance with only a fee or easy tweaks. I think it's important for a lot of people who want that easy experience, and for those that are happy to play with settings more I feel like this kind of overview gives them view that there's more that can be played around with. I feel like there's lot's of coverage from my fellow RU-vidrs who go into deep detail of settings changes, which can be overwhelming for some. But I don't feel there's a lot of coverage for the casual crowd, which is what I'm trying to provide. Really value all input though and greatly appreciate the feedback!
