This video was so helpful! I recently passed my phlebotomy exam with a score of 427, and I owe a lot of it to the clear explanations and guidance provided here. After watching, I felt much more confident in my understanding of the material. I saw many others in the comments saying they passed after watching, and I’m happy to say I can add my name to the list too. Thank you so much for making this🎉😊
Listened to this on a faster playback this morning and passed my test. A lot of what was stated here was on the test. That of which we didn’t even touch on in class. Thank you!!
Hi! Im taking the exam the 6th, September 2024. I would like to hear your advices if you already took the exam and also im gonna let you know how was mine and give advice if i pass. Have a nice day!
@@Argansableit wasn’t bad at all it was honestly mainly scenario questions, additives and order of draw. There was one OSHA question. Take your time and THINK make sure to due process of elimination. Keep watching this video everyday and use practice tests on the NHA or proprofs
@@TrinityWallace-x2q 🎉congratulations!! I’m scared I went to school over 10 years ago and my cert is soooo expired but the last 6 months I have been working as a phleb in a hospital and I take the exam next month. I am so scared I’m going to fail.
@@brittanyrosales8415 thank you & don’t think that way go in believing that you will pass and be confident. make sure to do practice tests and watch this video everyday. You will pass
Hello everyone I just took my exam yesterday!! And I already got my results I passed with a 420! Everything that’s on here is on the exam. Know your gauges!! I got at least 7 questions and scenarios! Know what angles to insert ur needle. As well as the blood smear. Lots of OSHA, HIPPA, CLIA. LOTS of questions on capillary punctures and heels sticks on infants. I wish you all the best of luck!
I just took my exam on Sunday 08/04/2024 and this video definitely saved my life!!! I studied this along with quizlets, and proprofs practice exam and I got a 441!!! I thought I wasn't going to do that well but i did and I am so proud of myself 😭😭 Thank you for this amazing video!!! <3
I have a question. On the textbook provided to me it says to clean the draw site with a back and forth motion. And on here you say circular motion. Can anyone answer this question please??
I believe right after he said to use a circular motion there was a cut to him saying you have to scrub it for 60 seconds and then used a circular motion after that to fully clean the area
With this and the other person’s comment to yours he has to be talking about the process for cleaning the site before a blood culture. But for venipuncture it is back and forth motion
@@ingridalvarado3485 I’m sorry I’m late!!!! I just studied this video front and back. I also reviewed all materials on NHA website mostly just taking the test they provided and BOOM 400 score!! Good luck may god bless you!
@@Argansable It’s pretty much what you have studied just re-worded. If you look on quizlet that can really help. Just look up NHA practice exam and that can really help. That’s literally what I studied and I took the practice exam on the NHA website. I promise you it’s not hard like you think. If you study, you will pass.
honestly no bc cna aren’t allowed to do phlebotomy (unless they have a phlebotomy certification or training and even then i doubt it) some of this information is included in cna training but it’s specifically for phlebotomy. hope that wasn’t confusing but i wouldn’t recommend this for anything but phlebotomist or RNs or other people allowed to legally draw blood
Where can I find a good practice exam? I take mine on 7/13/2024 and I am EXTREMELY nervous because I took it over 10 years ago off of general knowledge and missed it by 4 points; so I am trying to be VERY prepared.
hi newbie here! im already super happy with what ive learned from you so far- i just happened to stumble across your video with only about 3 days before my exam.. im curious about how to narrow down the exact tests that are used for the diff tubes/additives also for pku- if we arent allowed to add a second drop to a circle, how do we ensure that we fill each circle? if one circle doesnt fill i know we are supposed to move on to another circle so im just curious as to how we fill each card sufficiently if we arent allowed to add a second drop? thx in advance!!
Hi Tavi, sometimes these tests aren't 100% practical, just sharing what I know to be the right answer. As far as tubes go, any phlebotomy book should have that for you. Best wishes
Just took my test and passed easily. However, my externship was scheduled for October. Six months from now. Is that normal? I can’t believe I have to wait so long. Did anyone else had to wait that long?
@mikaylajones428 It had a lot of scenarios about a patient going into shock for me and a lot of how to handle special processing. I would study on quizlet, take multiple practice tests, and watch this video.
