I just passed my NHA exam . 4/5/24 This comment is for anyone wondering I listened to it once this morning on my way to school and then during lunch. I like how you can jump forward on to other topics within the slide and not just stay in a certain part . Extremely Helpful Video! Helped me out a lot ! Good luck
I took the Nha phlebotomy exam on November 4,2023 and November 5,2023 found out that I passed it with a 424!! This video along with studying and practice test helped me passed!! I was incredibly nervous on test day and waiting for the results I was panicking because I was going over the questions in my head and I was second guessing it! I’m glad I passed!! To those who are getting ready to take the exam YOU GOT THIS!!
Thank you for this and congratulations I literally take mine on Friday March 1 this yr 2024 ivdd we been studying in the Quizlet and watching this like 5 times and googling stuff lol been phlebotomists for 26 yrs I better pass 😂🙏🏽
THANK YOU! Between you and Sharon Cooper's videos and quizlet I passed my NHA exam yesterday 3/27/2024 with a 461! I didn't learn much in class so you were a lifesaver. My classmates were happy I shared your video as well. He has another video on 2 chapters that I watched and I got a question right on the test because of his lecture as I hadn't seen the information anywhere else. Wish my instructor had gone over the chapters like he did. Looking forward to your EKG videos for my next certification😊
I took this exam last weekend & PASSED (scored in the High 400s)! Thank you. This video truly helped along with reading the online book from class!! I personally kept second guessing myself (flaw of mine)& changed my answers but I’m glad that this is over. My exam touched on tests, which tubes should be used , being aware of when aerobic/anaerobic tubes are to used, collecting specimens (stool/semen), The proper instructions that should be given in specific situations (For ex: When specific types of urine should be collected). Example: A patient is coming in to collect semen, instruct to returning within hr or Ex 2: Instructing patients to not mix urine with stool during collection). My exam also focused on how specific specimens should be stored, blood smears, capillary sticks ( knowing when this is given), Different types of transmission (airborne, contact, etc), knowing the risks of using needles that are too big or small, how hemo-concentration or hemolysis may be caused, Risks of repeated blood draws, what syncope is, how to identify a stroke patient and the care that should be given, knowing the roles of arteries, veins, where blood goes as it moves through heart, a few prefixes & suffixes, how to approach a patient that is getting their blood drawn for the first time, chain of custody, (and the list goes on, but I just wanted to help someone!).You all will do well! Please read the questions carefully. There are two answers that often seem to be possible options. Study and Trust your judgement. Remember to use your time wisely. I wish everyone nothing less than success. 💞
Big thanks to Josh Allen and this slideshow! Just passed my NHA CPT exam today! I scored 447. Definitely know OSHA, CLIA, NIOSH, joint commission and order or draw, especially the additives and tests!
Mindy what else helped you besides this video? Was there alot that the video covered that was in the exam? im just trying to get a better understanding at what course this video is actually for as the NHA certifies several different things. Thanks
Julie Adams www.studystack.com/flashcard-1403890 go through these! Most of the questions I had was on these flash cards! But also review this video a few times! Especially before you take the test. This video was so helpful
OMG...Josh, you are a gem. I just passed my NHA Exam. 05/01/2024. I found this video 5 days before the exam. I scored 72 on 3 of the NHA practice tests before I found you. The 1st practice test I took after listening to you I scored 94. OMG!!! I made sure to listen to you every day at least once. I took a practice test every other day and saved one to do the day before the exam and scored high 90's. I learned more from your videos than I learned from my paid class. Thank you so much.
Just took my exam yesterday and everything that you talked about was on there and it’s 2022. Thanks to this video and the person talking I passed with a 398. Good luck to everyone else taking the exam.
I passed my CPT today with a 407! This video is not shared enough! The way he breaks down everything where it’s not hard to understand or too much information to retain, it’s just right. The format of the review is straight phenomenal !
I passed the exam 2 days ago! Thank you for providing this video. When I took the questions in person, there were many scenario-based questions so be careful! I would also study anatomical terminology such as supine, bilateral, prone, etc. Good luck everyone!
I just wanted to take time and thank you for this video. I took my test this past Friday and I'm glad to say that I PASSED with a 431!!!!!! This video was very helpful along with the NHA practice tests! Thank you so much! I am officially a CERTIFIED PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN guys!!
I took my exam on October 17 and I passed with 403 and I just wanted to personally thank Josh Allen because this video helped me the most not only did I review the book but what John Allen explains is mostly cover on the exam. My best advice for people who are going to take the exam is to review all the information you are provided in your class but to also watch this video “IT IS GOLD”. I going to be honest I would listen to this video like it was a podcast. Gold luck to whoever is going to take there exam and you are going to do great 😊❤
Thank you so much for this video!! Everything he went over in this video was covered on the exam. Everyone needs to know what CLIA, OSHA, CDC, Joint Commission, etc is for. They have a lot of questions regarding that. Also, patient identification, they asked a lot of tricky questions. KNOW WHAT TEST TO KEEP ON ICE AND PROTECT FROM LIGHT AS WELL! Other than that, everything else is pretty much self explanatory. Good luck!
Took my exam Tuesday and I came back to let y’all know that this video is the reason why I passed my exam I took notes from start to finish and made flash cards . I studied for only about 2 days and I passed my nha thankyou for this content please don’t take this video down . this video had more information that is going to be on the exam than the nha practice exams !
Just took my exam yesterday and literally every single thing you talked about was on the test and it’s 2021!! thank you soooo much because of you and this video I passed with a 406🤎
@@zionm120910 Honestly it wasn’t hard in my opinion. Most of the questions were no brainers and basic phlebotomy info you needed to know. Though, there were also a lot of question where you had to pay close attention to how they were asking the question and wording it because there could be multiple correct answers, it’s the matter of choosing the BEST one out of all them. There were def a lot of questions about certain tests, which test goes in what tube, if a patient should be fasting or not for a specific test, really wasn’t too many question about order of draw I probably only had one. Def asked about drawing for newborns/toddlers! Also a lot of scenario questions, asked a lot about all the different branches and what they do (OSHA, CLIA, joint commission etc..). there were also a lot of questions bout storing specimens and how to do other procedures besides blood draws(urine test, sputum, stool, sperm etc..) but literally everything from beginning to end in the video that he talked about they asked about it in the exam. I def watched last minute lol probably watched this 2-3 times🥴 but overall it helped tremendously🤎
I don’t normally comment on RU-vid videos but I wanted to thank you so much for this video. This video helped me to pass after failing my first exam! Everything you mentioned was there and because of that I was able to cross out some options I was stuck between. To anyone studying and reading this, make sure you watch this everyday. If you’re stuck on a question, remember what he mentioned. You guys will definitely pass!
THANK YOU JOSH!!! I PASSED MY NHA TODAY WITH A 422 HIGHEST IN MY CLASS!! YOU REALLY ARE GREAT AT THIS... I MEAN EVERY THING YOU HAVE ON HERE IS ON THE TEST!! HONEST YALL!! EVERY TIME SOMETHING CAME UP THAT I LEARNED FROM THIS VIDEO I SMILED SO HARD!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
I took my test this morning I got a 416 with “Above the passing standards “thank you so much this video has really helped me a lot I truly will recommend this bio with you and my instructor I learned so much & remembered a lot.
Was sent from a tik tok follower. Im currently in school now and will be taking my nha exam in June or Jy and i want to be preparrd and ready!! I heard Josh was the man and his study guides were spot on🙌🏽💯❤🙏🏽!!
I’ve been in phlebotomy class for 3 days . And these comments are awesome . It’s soooo many positive energy in the comments . I’m already studying this video . And I just started . I got a feeling I’m going to pass with flying colors .
My goshhhh, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart . I watched this video 3 days before taking my exam. I studied through out the course but this really narrowed things down. I passed my exam yesterday thank you soooo much. You care about your students. 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Just took my NHA CPT (May 2021). I passed on the first try with a 435! This video was very helpful. I really suggest people watch it several times and pay close attention. Thanks so much for such a great resource. On to EKG next!
This video is HEAVEN SENT! I went through a 6 week program and I only had 4 days to study for my test with a 2 year old distracting me lolz . Took the test yesterday (March 6,2023) and got my results today (March 7,2023) I passed! I was really shocked because as I stated , I wasn’t able to study as I would have liked. I watched this video at least 3 times a day in that 4 day period and took a few notes over things I wasn’t too sure about and I did it! Thank you so much for this! ❤️❤️❤️
this ! with my child and no one to watch her ,has made it really hard for me to focus. i just found this video in hopes to help me somehow. i take my test the 17. 😬
@@zaskiacolon yassss 😩😩😩 and later in the day my other two children get out of school! I had already felt I would fail the first test lolz but thankfully I didn’t . This video is really really good for cramming even though you definitely should not cram lolz . I would say personally I had a hard time with the departments that the tubes go to. There were a few questions on definitions that could be mixed up. Let’s just say I wasn’t really able to study the definitions that much but I think it helped that I have prior history knowing a few medical terms. So if you don’t know any I would definitely go over vocabulary. Know what veins to use and not use in certain scenarios (pediatric, obese, geriatric) . Know about the urine tests (clean catch, 24 hr) most of the stuff that is in the video is on the test.
@@zaskiacolon it wasn’t too bad. I will say if you know you didn’t study as you should have, you will feel a lot more nervous because you already think to yourself that you might fail. But you will do fine if you use this video and take notes. And if you need something to be explained differently try other channels . There are quite a few people on RU-vid that will explain specific things about phlebotomy. Good luck to you! ❤️
@@niadavis870 Thankyou!!!!! And congrats on your new journey!!! I overthink it because I freeze in test rooms 🥲. I’m watching this video for like the 5 time already this week 😂 and I can tell I know alot of it. But I panic.
Josh!!!! Thank you sooooo much for this wonderful video!! This is amazing! Thanks for taking the time to upload it! This helps a lot!!! I’ve passed my NHA exam🎉🎉🎉!! So yay!! ! I didn’t get any of those practice tests which you have to buy, I just went over my school notes, lectures, order of draw (of course), and I’ve also watched this video at least two times a day for three days before taking my exam! This pretty much covers everything you need to know for the exam! There were some questions that wouldn’t make sense if I hadn’t watched this. My advice to those who are getting ready to take their NHA exam -->> first of all relax😌! You can do it!!!! Go over your study material at least 3 hours a day, watch this video and take notes on it, stay positive and make sure you get enough sleep so everything you’ve studied throughout the day gets stored in your long term memory. Thanks again, Josh! 🙏🤗
You are a God sent. I had my NHA exam today and before taking it I listen to your videos for a full 4 weeks everyday. I passed my test with a 420 thank you thank you thank you!!!!!! I greatly appreciated this review.
got my results today! passes with a 404! I have been busy with school and work so I didn’t have much time to study. I studied for about 3 days and really crammed it the night before (do not recommend lol). I skimmed over my class textbook, made a quizlet for the order of draws, took a few practice quizzes online and watched this video about 4 times. If you don’t do anything, WATCH THIS VIDEO OVER AND OVER. Study basically everything in this video! Also review the different gauge sizes which aren’t really covered in this video but I had about 4 questions on that. Don’t stress too much like I did, it was fairly easy. I finished in about an hour and had the other hour to go over my answers. YOU WILL DO FINE! Lastly, some of the questions were the same from the practice quizzes I found online, so do those as well over and over! Good luck!
@@karenmasters6196 You weren’t asking me, but I did happen to see your question. When I took the exam (approx. 3 months ago) I personally didn’t have any questions about “critical values”. Can you elaborate on what you’re referring to?
This video is everything you will need to know . I watched this video twice a week for a month before taking my NHA exam and with the help of my school I passed one the first try . Thank you thank you 😊
Josh!! I watched this for at LEAST a week straight every morning and night because I suck at studying, and I just passed my NHA exam with a 411!! I just had to say thank you man!
I took this test one month ago. I didn’t really study, I only saw this video all day when I could, and some reading. But I’m sure I passed thanks to josh! I am so grateful and proud. I passed with a 400!!! I really recommend this video please pay attention!!!
Thanks Allen Josh, I listened to this video each day that pass by, and finally i passed my NHA Test, every question was actually break down in this video, thanks to almighty God.
I studied with the NHA study guide from Amazon and this video. This slide show TRULY helped me pass the NHA exam! I am CERTIFIED now!!! Thank you! I highly recommend this!
Just took my certification exam and I passed! Thanks to this video practice test and a study partner. My best advice take your time flag the questions that you don’t know or your unsure about and go over and over them until you know you have the right answer! Read the question over and over because it could be asking you about something totally different then what your thinking. Omgosh I almost. Had a heart attack submitting my test but I’m so happy I passed.
I just want to thank you Josh! I took my exam yesterday 01/24/2023 and passed! 👏🏽😊 I watched this video few times and took notes. This video truly helped me pass my exam.
Just took my test after watching this for half and hour and PASSED 🙌🏽 this is beyond helpful and I highly recommend this video or any of his videos to anyone who needs to pass their NHA !
Thank you so much for this video! I took my NHA (Cali)and passed with a 440 thanks to this video and the NHA practice tests. Everything you talked about here was on the test. I listened to this at least once a day until my test. I appreciate you’re time, you are a great instructor.
I took my exam Saturday got my results n I passed wit a 397 thanks josh your video did helped me along wit the NHA practice test and study guide that I purchased thanks again Josh Allen!
Thank you for this video! I passed my exam with a score of 403. All I needed to do was watch it twice and take good notes a week before. Very helpful resource for those with a busy schedule. My externship starts at the end of this month. THANK YOU :)

Thank you so much for your time and patience with making this video it was so helpful I watched it for 3 days straight and the morning before with this and the practice test you'll do great make sure to study the order of draw got a lot of those questions as well as OSHA.
I took my exam on the 12 of March and I watched this video before and I passed!!! It’s really helpful to watch this before as a refresher course as this video covers a lot of what’s going to be asked on the test!! Goodluck 🤞🏻
Thanks so much for this. I just took my NHA test yesterday and passed. This was a huge help for me and I’ve been recommending it for other coworkers who want to get certified.
Thank You so much.... I passed with a 390.... wished I had gotten a better score but I'm grateful that I still passed and I thank you for posting this video.
I don’t normally comment on RU-vid videos but I want to thank you so much for this video. I passed my NHA exam with 397 and this video helped me a lot! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this video! I took my NHA and passed on the first try! I only studied for two days with flash cards to memorize all the content in this video. This video is a huge help. :))❤️
Just took my test today and passed all thanks to this video. I listened to this multiple times and everything he talked about was on the test!!! Thank you so much for the video!
Josh, I really and truly want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video. I have the NHA Study Guide book, also bought it online and bought the 6 practice tests. For the last month and something I been trying to study for this certification. I am a certified travel dialysis tech, have 3 kids with 2 of them being toddlers, and narcolepsy. I have to write my stuff down like a test in order to study. I actually read the book twice due to me having 24 pages to study the 1st time I wrote it up. Went back and read it again to shorten my papers. Something told me go to RU-vid and I ran across you. You sum the whole book down in 1 hr and I actually learned. I took my test today and I’m mad at myself for stressing over it (knowing I’m don’t fell tests) when the test was SUPER easy. I blew through the test. Waiting on results, but again Thank You for this!!!! 😘😘
@@joshallen2126 Thank you. I will never. Everything I do is for my 3 minions! I move mountains and go hard for them. Next is nursing. I wish you taught that too
Took my exam two days ago and just got the email that I passed! Your video helped so much, it was a great refresher. Everything in the video was on the test! Thank You!
This video help me about a lot I passed my NHA and now I’m officially a CPT. I Literally just listing to this video all day everyday before my exam. Thank You Josh
It’s helps for real? I’m about to test too and the ekg is my weakness. Was there a lot of hard questions about the strips? How hard was the exam? They changed it up though. I did it in 2016 and I was suppose to recertify in 2018 but since my job didn’t need it I decided not to
i'm planning to take the NHA this coming February tho i did not have the application to take the exam yet. how did the exam go? what are the review materials did you use? i'm using the materials from the NHA & i find this video useful too👍. Thank you in advance for your advise and response.
I just took my exam yesterday and I PASSED!!! This video was so helpful I watched it a whole entire week 5 times a day! My exam covered a lot of OSHA stuff, Implied consent scenarios, order of draw, some urine questions " a patient comes with a UTI do you collect it clean catch midstream or 24 hour? Just an example of a urine question I got. Definitely need to know about blood cultures. Know about Contact Precautions and Droplet Precautions. Know how long a patient needs to fast for certain tests. Know your gauges in phlebotomy. Super proud of myself that I passed with a 401. Good luck to everyone thats going to take the exam and HUGE thank you Josh for this video!!!!
Hi, congratulations on ur pass, am planning to take the exam too, although I have my bsn but they wouldn’t hire me with that as pct, I just want to know if I can take the exam without having to waste time taking the course for pct, I don’t want to waste money as well to take the exam without the course, so is it possible to register for the exam without an institution, and pls how do I go about it. Thanks
@@alashehiklimat8200 to register an exam with NHA phlebotomy technician you need to be eligible to take the exam. You have to go through an institution first before taking the exam in order to recieve your phlebotomy license . There are requirements that you have to complete didactic and practical training of 40 hours. Take the NHA exam to become certified and lastly apply for the phlebotomy license
John Allen.. I don't have the words to express my gratitude to you. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! for making this video. You have no idea how much you're video helped as far as retaining the info in my brain. Listening to you're video over and over again I was able to sink the info. I took notes from your video and the tube chart and invert method BEST tip the order of draw!! AMAZING the way you explained it and made it so easy not to just understand but to even remember it. I PASSED MY NHA EXAM and it's honestly this video helped a lot. I highly recommend for anyone taking the EXAM please listen to this video plug in your headphone and just listen. TRUST ME!!! Speaking from experience and a person who's anxiety levels are the worst. ONCE AGAIN THANKS JOSH ALLEN for taking the time and making this video!!!!! :)
Hi everyone, I just passed the RPT test, this video was the best and most complete guide I founded, most of the questions are in this video... good luck, and big thanks to the creator.
I came across your video like 3 weeks ago, started listening to it on my commute to work every morning. Just wanted to thank you for this video, because I passed my NHA exam on yesterday 💫
Hands down👐🏼 this is one of the best reviews for the nha exam, it’s 2021 and I’m Studying California standard … i watched this video for 2 days straight on top of studying my notes and homework I PASSED GETTING A 436 above standards. this video was very informative he explains everything to a T everything he talks about was on the test jus watch the wording of the question do a cross elimination with the answer and you should get the best answer for the question I couldn’t be happier with my results 🎉🎉
I just wanted to take the time to say thank you so so much Josh for this informative video. You did an excellent job explaining everything and I'm proud to say that I passed because of you. Thank you once again and keep up the great work! 😊
Watched this video once yesterday and once this morning before I took my nha exam and this video really helped and everything he talked about was on the exam I passed with a score of 416. Thanks so much for doing this video 💙
Thank you so much for all your help!!!!!!! I had reviewed this video all of last week while studying for my NHA and used it as a study guide and literally everything you addressed was on my test. Thank you for helping me pass :)
I just wanted to say thank you!! I took my NHA today and made the highest grade in my class!! I found this video 2 days before my test and watched it about 4 times and it was really helpful!
just took my NHA test today and PASSED (400+). thank you so much for this informative video, everything you said was there in my exam. my advice is WATCH this video more than 2 times. OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED PHLEBOTOMIST yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Thank you! I usually do not leave comments on videos. I wanted to stop by and say Thank you. I watched this video everday for the last two weeks. After reviewing the content I was able to pass my test on 12/14/21 with a score of 412. Please keep up the good work!
Thanks to this video which I religiously listen to this every morning then a week before my NHA Exam I did the Practice test on the NHA website while I recorded it on my phone! I passed it with low 400s. Pass is pass! Thanks again Josh Allen! Date of exam: 6/9/23 Time to submit State License application and then find work thru agency
Due to Covid my instruction center was unable to provide a full class setting and in person training so I was very uncertain about my material and the coursework. I found and watched this video 3 times in the 2 days before the exam and passed with a 404!!! Thankyou so much, this helped immensely at both reminding and exposing myself to curriculum that I had only briefly gotten to see.
I came across this video the day of my test. Like two hours before. It is amazing how much help it provided me. I wish I had used only this to study from the whole time! Don’t waste money on the study materials.
Hey Allen I just want let u know I used watched your slide like 5x . I Took my Nha exams yesterday and passed at 422 . Thank youuu for putting this up on RU-vid God bless you 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you so much!!! Your video just helped me pass my phlebotomy exam with a 429. I appreciate you and what you do to help others and how you go about the whole video it’s great and I will be showing my cousin this video as well. Thanks again!!
Took my exam on 4/10/21 and received an email that I passed the morning of 4/11/21! Scored a 418! Thank you so much for your video!! I watched this over and over along with taking all 6 practice tests from the NHA
I didn't take as much time to study my book as I should have. I started studying two days before the exam and had to pull an all-nighter the night before the exam. In those two days, I watched the video twice and took notes on it the third time while reading over my own textbook, notebook and creating my own quizlet. This is a PERFECT VIDEO TO PREPARE FOR THE TEST!!!! Even years later in 2020 the information still seemed to be accurate and up to date! I passed with a 424 with a lot of help from this video!
Thank you so much for this video. I passed my exam and only used this video and the NHA study materials (book and practice tests). This video definitely helped explain everything on the test!
Just took my exam yesterday I watched this video many times and used the NHA study guide and Practice tests. I got my results back and I passed. Thank you so much for this video.
I just took my exam yesterday and scored a 95%. This video helped a lot as well as taking my practice exam like 2-4 times per day and studying. All the questions was familiar and it wasn’t hard since I studied so much. Good luck to anyone taking the test I’m so glad it’s over and already been offered internships. I’m officially a phlebotomists and can’t wait to start my new journey. Thank you again
I took my exam yesterday and got my score today. Good news is I passed, bad news is my score was exactly 390. But to be completely fair I thought the test had 100 questions, so I did the last 20 in under 10 minutes. And I studied tests and order of draw alot more than infants, and there were a lot of infant questions. But it was thanks to your video that I even passed at all. Thank you so much!
You know what they call a physician who barely passes... Doctor - lol - enjoy the victory tests don't make us who we are or have any bearing on what we bring, I hope you have abundant success wherever you go
omg. Thank you Josh. You covered many topics that were on the national exam. Your lesson was extremely helpful in studying for the national exam. Thanks again.
THANK YOU JOSH! You have another one singing your praises! I PASSED!!!!🎉🎉🎉 I received a 426 on my exam. Finally received my results today after waiting for 3 WEEKS!!!😅 thanks again!!!!🎉🎉🎉
hi ! i will be taking my exam next month ! do they tell you after your done testing if you passed or you have to wait a couple of days to see your score
