One of the best things you can do for your war thunder knowledge is learn to IAS climb instead of regular degrees. in real life, pilots would climb based on the speed their spedometers showed (indicated air speed) as climbing by angle or true air speed was less efficient. to use this, go to air settings and turn on TAS + IAS, then find a climb speed chart, the steam guides that show up when you look up *nation* prop climb speed are the best imo. for example, with the p-47s, which are notorious for 'bad' climb rate, you can reach about the same altitude as other planes by just climbing while changing angle to maintain about 260km/h IAS. this means that you can pretty much negate most 'bad climb rates' by just climbing more efficiently than everyone else, who are probably just holding a specific angle or true airspeed which becomes less useful for measuring actual plane performance the higher you get.
The C3 is a worse fighter than the H1, however it is worth pointing out that it has a Mk103 in the nose instead of the Mk108. That being the high velocity German 30mm, and with its stealth rounds and hvap belts it and energy retention, it can be a monstrous ground pounder in Ground RB. It can be fun to play in Air RB too, it is worse than the H1, but the H1 is easily one of the best planes pound for pound in the game. Just because the H1 is better than the C3 doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give it a try, or that it should be completely disregarded. That said I think the C3 belongs at 5.7 instead of 6.3.

my BF-109 4F experience; climb 5min, dive and miss the target, target gets behind me and fuck me up. Or a XP-50 dives on me and I'm fucked. 10/10 would play again
FYI the reason why some of the 190As are so meh is because a random Russian player on the War Thunder forum whined about being outclimbed by a 190 and went "Waaaaah 190 too overpowered. Pls nerf Gaijin" with ABSOLUTELY ZERO FUCKING SOURCES. Gaijin said "Alright. We're going to not only nerf one of the engines by several hundred HP but we're also going to make 190 engine artificially overheat massively even though the 190s irl fixed this issue with cooling flaps and automatic radiator controls...." Look up the "190 Klimb afterburner" report to see this stupidity for yourself...
In my opinion the E-Series is the best one. She is forgiving and has an excellent balancing. She didnt overheat so fast like all at F and after. Especially in MEC. With MEC i had battles i flew the E Series from beginning with 0% cooling flaps and it never goes over 85°C by high speed performance. E-Series i call her Erika (I know its Emil) but Erika is more beautiful, is love
For Hispano’s I STRONGLY recommend using stealth belts, they are great for head on’s because your enemy can’t see your bullets, so they won’t know if they’re getting shot at in a highly chaotic situation, and they’re just more satisfying to land kills with them.
Do french Yak-3s have better performances than the Soviet ones? Cuz when there's a french Yak-3 user in my match, they tend to single handedly obliterate the other team more often than not
@@HeyImKatyusha i got confused cause you mentioned it next to those planes at around 12:05 in the video. Generaly speaking my experiance in P51 D30 can be summarized as absolute dogshit. I just cant seem to do anything in that plane against any oponents. The C and H variants are better, albeit im still kinda dogshit at them and trying to learn the game properly so tutorials like these are a godsend. It just feels like i can actually play the game 1 out of 5 times in a Mustang bcs either something is just always higher than me and i die, i climb and my or enemy team dies. Ofc im also making a lof of mistakes but more often than not i feel like i die bcs of stuff outside my control. Its a shame cause i love this aircraft in real life and was super excited to play it.
@@TK--ce6hp you cant do anything about teams. they carry you or you carry them. make sure to fly with other people so you have better cards for winning
Absolutely great tutorial, it's just a shame that recently I feel like this entire family of planes is unusable, because how quickly and terribly matches go. I try to climb to 3500 meters, and by the time I reach the battlefield, the game is already over. Either my team is all dead, or the enemy is. Everyone is just braindead-grinding top tier. It's just sad, there are no opportunities or time to set the plane up, at least it's good at head-ons, because frankly, however much I'm against head-ons, they are the last remaining type of attack in War Thunder Air RB.
I’ve meet Katyusha in an Israeli Spitfire & he just said GG before the “dogfight” ever started. He was using a Typhoon and he managed to get out of range of my guns & I was in a 1v2. Of course I didn’t want to let the other guy get the kill : )
it does. it gets more horse power with every engine, but with that it gets more weight and more fuel cause the consumption gets higher. thats why A1 and A8 fly identically in speeds, climbrate and turn
Since the F-14 was introduced, and especially since the F-15 and F-16 was introduced, I feel like my entire team is made of retarded kids who are mindlessly grinding one of the only 3 jets they know about at all. Matches are 50-50, I either don't get into the game in time because I climbed enough, and the enemy is already dead, except two people both in a 1v3 each. It is getting better, but I still wanna J out the moment I see a Yak-9U catching up to me at 5900 meters, while I'm running away at 600.
its a bf109 airframe that got heavenly modified. the performance you find ingame isnt close to the real version. its sad that i didnt have the pyörremyrsky when i made the video.
