I HOPE YOU CAN DO THAT , PRAYING FOR THAT !!!!!! LOVE , PANCHO
Excellent knowledgeable video for the beginners. I want to open a home studio. have learned something about EQ. Pl. make other related videos about running a DAW. Your explained in details.
Rob Williams you are a genius and such an exceptional communicator. You literally created so many avenues in my mind and then summarized it by answering every single question that popped up. Amazing, wonderful and much needed. Thank you.
before after are always different in loudness, at least if you wanna lay out core principals of mixing and production give them an honest chance on the same loudness..
If you only cut eq, you end up having to turn the track up, so all frequencies that weren't cut get boosted anyway. Best practice is to split the difference. Do a combination of cutting and boosting that keeps your track at more or less the same volume level so you can quickly A/B it with the eq bypassed to ensure you're making good decisions.
It's funny. I watched this years ago and was messing up still even though this is right. The main thing people mess up with is the gain staging (incl myself). I was boosting eqs and slapping on compressors and not compensating for the processing and it was messing my mixes (as well as being too surgical with eq)
if your crap at singing just move on, these jerks are killing the reason most youths exist, making all chart music sound like Stephen Hawking having a shit......
Great vid I didn’t agree with the sweeping and looking for bad frequencies, any frequency boosted is going to sound “bad”. If you can’t initially hear a problem I don’t see the sense In Looking for one but maybe I miss understood, apart from that …cool vid!.
hey man, you gave me a lot of importent information and value and i am appreciate it very much! your explanation is clear and calm, and it realy makes you to succeseed! so again thank you very much and good luck with everything!
Another squashed vocal tutorial. When are you guys going to get it? You use them on every damn thing. Can you not hear the distortion they create and how much they kill timbre? Are you too old or too lazy to learn how to mix without them? You are using samples for God's sake. They have already been EQ'd for you. I would hate to hear what you would do with raw sounds like a real drum set. You are not shooting for perfection, just good enough. Your mix is the equivalent of a TV dinner! It is a sad day for music. Boring!
