My calling in life is teaching people how to fish. Bass Fishing is my passion but I am willing to teach anything that I learn about any species of fish. I feel like I produce the best fishing videos full of bass fishing tips and techniques. So if you like what you see in my videos please subscribe to the best fishing channel on RU-vid.
Hey Gene, great video! Question, the rods you use are they all graphite/carbon? Would you recommend using glass rod(s) while kayaking? I was gifted a Diahwa glass spinning rod and wondered if it would be good to add to my kayak setup. It's a 7' 3k reel I setup with 40lb braid.
I originally had a ton of rods and reels that were technique specific. I realized that I had too many rods especially for bank fising. I upgraded my rods and reels this year and have 3 baitcasters and 2 spinning rods and reel set ups.
I’m a poor shore fisherman, so I can’t afford a) a lot of rods and b) really tall rods (harder to cast from wooded areas)- any suggestions if I’m just looking to bring 2-3 rods on a trip? Just shore fishing lakes/ponds/rivers. Cheers
One heavy action, one medium heavy and one medium spinning rod. Those can throw about 80 to 90 percent of bass fishing techniques. Are you a top water, middle of the water or bottom fishing usually?
@@stephensharples8686 I mix it up just trying to get on the bite yk how it is. Thanks for the response tho I need to add a good spinner to the mix here soon my old hand me down Shakespeare needs an upgrade 😂
I seen your truck and kayaks at the Chinese restaurant in Scottsboro AL. I had just finished eating and started to come back in and say hi but I figured you would rather enjoy your meal. If I see out and about would love to meet ya
I fished the 2018 KBF National Championship from a 10’ sit-in car-topped paddle kayak with zero electronics (except for iPhone and lighted safety flag) and one rod and reel. It can be done! 😄 KISS
See I love 6th sense products but I am very disappointed with the duke 65 . Compared to strike king red eye there is no contest ,the red eye has a much better vibration and that woble when you kill the bait is just to good. I dunno about the duke, I definitely like the dogma 100 tho awesome spook for the top water bite.
Just found this guy and I love it he goes in depth. U know how many videos I commented on how to old a rod to do the technique and this guys nailed it without me asking love this
Used to fish with my grandpa, trying to get back into it, truthfully quite the emotional experience, i appreciate these videos since i don’t have anyone to teach me this stuff
How do I get into and find out about kayak tournaments in and around Georgia? I just got a Old Town autopilot and want to start tournament kayak fishing. Thanks
My seat was all the way up and I lean over to tie off a anchor and the kayak completely flipped over it was in 50 degree water, almost cost me my LIFE.. ITS NOT AS STURDY as you think..
Wish I could have ran into you I fished that tournament as well. I could not get bit on a dock fished 12-15 of then before I gave up on docks🤣🤣. Big fan of the channel always learn something!
Chatuge is one of my two home lakes. Anytime you want to come up and fish just holler. Wacky rig on a marina and docks was my only producer on tourney day.
Sir I just want to say I’ve been watching your training videos for a while learning as much as I can with still lots more to learn. I’m still waiting for the day I can put your skills out on the lake and catch a bass, but today I got the privilege to see the professor at work in a tournament. Wow thank you sir for sharing your day. In every video you ask people to send others so that you can teach them to fish and believe me that is why I am here! Appreciate your knowledge and skills and sharing it with us to become better anglers, thank you take care and God bless!
That lasso cast is my style of casting. Didn't know there was a name for it. Had many people I've taken fishing comment about it. I leave about 24-36" of line out and I lasso it just like you did. I use it when I'm trying to rocket a lighter 3/8 weighted plastic out farther.
