The OG Slim and the OG tiny that Ott made for Rapala is another bait thats great for winter and early spring and its half the price of the ones from Ph Custom Lures.

Probably why the Berkley Money Badger has been killing it for awhile now. It was specifically designed to mimic a balsa bait. I use a Dobyns Fury cranking rod with a Shimano SLX MGL reel

I make my own. It ain’t rocket science. Plenty of how to vids on the Tube! Pretty cool catching fish on a lure you made. Now that I’ve invested in the airbrush and paints I figure they cost me about 50 cents a piece to make. Gives me something to do mid winter.

@@robertholler7262 I am sure that is a good feeling to make a lure and catch fish with it. I’ve never done that but I have made a lot of things in my life however my hands have gotten bad so I don’t fool with it anymore much at all. Hey if we were neighbors I would buy a couple of those crankbaits from you bc I have always appreciated the hand made things. I just would never pay $25 for a crankbait bc something in my brain won’t let me 😁 PS I enjoyed listening to y’all playing Dooley on your channel. Y’all did a fine job on that 👍🏻

There's a couple lakes I fish where when the water is low I take my kayak in tight to cover and pick those pricey lures out of trees.

Back in the 90's Walmart carried this wooden crankbait by Renegade in a crawfish color pattern and I can't find it anymore but I wore out large mouth bass with that thing on rock points in clear water. I was fishing big tournaments in a 500 dollar jon boat against guys with all their high tech equipment and 50K boats. But I just can't find them anymore I looked on Ebay and other places I could think of but it's like they are not out there on the market anymore any help in where or who might even have them would be a great help to me.

G just wondering how they changed them rods from when they ask you to do a review of the same rods, and you told them they didn't want you to do that review, because they're rod wasn't any good? The rod came out like 6 years ago, so just wondering how they got better over time. Was it the blank, the guides, the grip? I'm just asking now that you with them, and use them rods more what was the upgrades that got you onboard G?

I can tell you what changed, it wasn't in the rod, it was money he is getting now to say they're better. lol $ makes people change their mind sometimes when bills need paid.
