Yes you can't replace him but we really need another creative midfielder. The team is struggling with offensive play. Lack of cover for Odegaard os costing us. Imagine if Saka also gets injured.
The game plan was to create or set pieces and bang on their net. I bet we could've scored more on those corners had we had more of them. Just unfortunate our hand was forced to adapt to the Mourinho ball, and I'm fine with it. Up the Gunners
The big thing with Arteta is also that he knew and already loved the club he took over. And, he also knew the difficulty of the situation he was coming into. In comparison, bin Ange is sulking a bit, because, when some Spurs fans wanted them to lose to City last season, he realised what he has got himself into. Similarly to Conte. I'll still give Ange the benefit of the doubt as people can actually learn quickly. But yeah, it seems to be a pattern there and it would be cool to see in some sort of a parallel reality whether Arteta could turn that around at Spurs. The environment and the culture from top to bottom are huge for talented people to properly work their magic.
What I really don't understand about people's frustration with how we've been playing is... what did they expect? Did they really think we would be controlling and dominating the game like we usually do despite us missing our best midfielders and playing away against our biggest rivals? And then when we still manage to get the win through our incredible individual and defensive performances, STILL some people aren't happy. Makes absolutely no sense to me.
Here from the Atalanta game, hopefully, this guy is no longer delusional. Another 90 minutes where your entire frontline cannot produce just one goal from open play.
This will be correct if we continue lowering the bar... Mourinho had 12 years of continuous success at four different clubs, in four different countries. I get the comparison of the team - a back four with three CBs, big strong CBs, a physical midfield. However for Arsenal fans to spend years disrespecting Mourinho, only to claim their manager is the "new" Mourinho, is crazy.
Arsenal are big because everyone else is small right now, Arsenal fans good for you seeing your club in a title race but your team don't have the winning mentality just look at liverpool spends far less than arsenal against the same big bad monster did they stop because of that? No they won a tittle went to three ucl finals wining one and was on two points from winning two prems, i think arteta want to win but the last transfer window should tell the full story your owners are comfortable with top 4
Great stuff again today, mate. The Emotional intelligence aspect you covered is amazing. Handling press ( journalists) is really tough. And he is doing well withholding Arsenal values. Also, I have this exact same shirt like you :D
So many followers here meaning jumping on bandwagon and then when arsenal lose you will say arsenal won’t win anything and all kind of negative’s . Not all people will say this but most of you
As nice as it may seem, the rushing the opposition isn't just for your mates, though obviously you protect your team, it's too stop the ref giving out so many cards, makes it harder. You see it often in rugby, which is of course far more physical & aggressive & so you get more confrontations like that, if subsidy did subverting bad, like hit/grab someone, the ref will give them a red card. But if you've got 2 whole teams in a massive brawl all squashed together, you can't see much, & you obviously can't send 14 players off. It's harder with tech now as video ref can still check & look to identify who's at fault & what happened, still can't kill the game, makes it harder
Another cracking evaluation of the current situation at Arsenal mate. So many good points. God i love this team and gaffer! Oh and Ange has just been broken by the Spuds. He aint the first and he sure wont be the last😂
