I’m a doctor! Well… I just graduated medical school and I’m in the weird in between part where I’m not really qualified to do anything. So in the meantime, I’m on a health journey 😄
In 2024, I’m looking to take control of my weight and work on both my physical and mental health. I also really like makeup so I’ll be doing a lot of reviews and get ready with me’s. You might even see me work out so… prepare your eyes 😅
Self-care in the form of makeup, skincare, hair care and healthy living.
Makeup is officially my hobby and my therapy 😝
I have a special place in my heart for eyeshadow, blushes and highlighters. Basically, the more colorful, the better 💚🧡
I hope you’ll come along on my journey of self care 😃
36, medium skin tone, neutral undertone and combination skin
After all the RU-vid influencers, I was anxious to try the elf soft glam foundation. I did not like it at all. It was thick and emphasized my pores-I looked made up. I’m going back to my skin tints.
Hello my friend! I like the green on you!! I do have some issues with some of the mattes too. Definitely not all of them though. Some mattes seem a bit ‘chalky’. What I do: I apply them with a packing brush instead of a blending brush and then I blend them with a clean fluffy blending brush. Maybe this works for you too?! Give it a try.
Thank you Daniëlle! I’ll try that next time. I used a dense brush for the dark green but I didn’t go back in with a clean brush and I definitely used a blending brush for the light green 🙈(oops).
@@Dr.Nickys_makeup_corner No worries! I use a clean blending brush to wipe away the ‘chalky powder’ (hope this makes sense). It helps me to get a better application. I’m currently editing a ‘my favorite summer eyeshadow palettes’-video, in that video I explain some more in detail about this. I think we can agree on the fact that this is not the best eyeshadow formula ever, but for 19 euros (21 in $ I think?) I also think you get value for money. The shimmers are beautiful! Have you tried Waterfall? That’s my favorite shade!!
Thank you Luv, I think I will try out a color range kit. Although I rarely wear makeup I've always struggled with finding my color. I've tried getting matched several time with no luck and I've tried matching myself by trying different foundations that I end up collecting in my drawer. And I have the opposite problem than you, my face is much lighter than my body and I get very tanned in the summer but my face doesn't tan much at all...very annoying! Wish me luck gal!
Thank you so much! Ive been struggling to decide between 29, 30, & 31. Its been hard to find someone with a similar skin tone. Im going to try 30 and hopefully that will work.
I got it but it looked orange after it oxidized. Maybe I put too much on because it doesn't look like that when you put the swatches on. Either that or I'll try 29n.@@Dr.Nickys_makeup_corner
Same here😅 I have 29 n and 31 n...29 n looks a bit yellow on me. 31 n is a warmer shade and a bit darker like an "earth- shade." Maybe I should try 30 n as well...
It feels moisturizing when I put it on, but I wouldn’t say oily. I don’t notice any more shine than with my other foundations. But I also (always) powder my face. I’m sure that affects my shine level. I hope this helps 🙂
Thank you so much for your kind words!🥰 Good luck with your journey!! 🙂♥️ I don’t post as often about my weight loss, but I’m with you on this health journey 🙂
I think both shades are a good match, I don’t see a difference. I’m gonna buy these samples because I bought two of the cushions and both shades are not a good match. 23N is too light, so I thought I needed 24N but that one is way too yellow. It doesn’t make sense.
The shades are confusing me as well lol. Did you wait to see if the 23N oxidizes? Maybe they need to add shades between 23 and 24? Some of the jumps in the shade range are noticeable. For example, they are missing a huge chunk of tan-deep shades so I won’t be surprised if they need more light-medium shades as well.
@@Dr.Nickys_makeup_corner yes I did wait, the color changed a bit but I don’t think it looks good on me. Maybe I should mix 23 and 24 to see what happens. Although I’m not sure if that’s a very convenient way to use these cushions.
@fedaro_beauty oh no- I’m sorry. I agree, I wouldn’t want to mix shades to get the right match either. It’s a shame because the foundation itself is so nice - I need them to really flesh out the shade range.
@@Dr.Nickys_makeup_corner I fully agree! The foundation is good! In general I don’t mind mixing shades to get the right one, I do it all the time. But with the cushions it’s just not very convenient in terms of application. Hopefully tir tir will have e closer look at the shades, I know they extended the range recently. So hopefully there will be a perfect shade for me in the future!
