@tinadaniels401 Dextreme Fire Starter (120 PCS) Natural Fire Starters for Campfire, Charcoal Starter, Fireplace, Wood Stove, BBQ, Chimney, Fire Pit, and Grill | All Weather, Odorless, Non-Toxic, w/10 Min Burning Time a.co/d/0CzzOKv Hi Tina! I discovered these on Amazon. They are the same as Tumbleweeds, but are much cheaper & work just as well. I love these things!!!
@tinadaniels401 Thanks Tina! Daisy and I just got back from a big adventure. As soon as I get the editing finished... there will be more to come. Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed that! You camp like me, to relax and enjoy the scenery. I'm too old to do much hiking and climbing, but give me a book, some water running nearby, and Im happy as can be. I just ordered a Cool Camp, so excited to go out on the road in a month or so! (Today is my last day of work - EVER!!!!)
Congratulations Tracy! On both, the Cool Camp and retiring! I'm anxiously waiting for the day to come so that I can retire and go camping anytime I want to. We have enjoyed our Cool Camp beyond measure. I'm sure that you will too! Daisy and I are going on another adventure with it next month... stay tuned for more. Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
@@davidhaden4363 One serious question: bears? Im scared of big wild animals, like any sensible person. I think I'd expect to run into them out in the woods like that. What do you use to protect yourself and Daisy?
I was told by a forest ranger that Daisy herself is the best bear protection you can have. According to him, bears hate to be barked at and will run away. Of course I also carry bear spray and have read many tips on being bear aware. So far... I've never encountered one!
I really love your videos. Didn't really care about the Sasquatch song but when you're out in the middle of nowhere and Colorado and your videos are really great thank you for making them I hope you continue
Thanks Tina! You're not the only one who's said that the music is horrible. Hahaha! I have to agree... it is bad. But we had a great time and look forward to getting back out there soon. Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
I agree... it grates on your nerves like fingernails on a chalkboard! Other than that, I hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
We are looking for a clean used Cool Camp. We will use Eco-Flow Delta 2 power station, and bring the portable 1 piece 275W solar panel, and a 2200W Champion generator. Check out Ecoflow, built in inverter, battery built in, super fast charging on ac power all in one unit. Nice video 👍 thanks.
Hi! Thanks for the information about the Ecoflow. I'll check it out. I now have a Jackery Solat Generator and I love it!!! Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Hi David! Daisy & I are both doing well. We planned on going camping in January and putting out another video, but the plans fell through. We are excited about this upcoming camping season, however, because not only do we have several trips in mind... but we're going to video each one! With any luck, one will be coming soon! Thanks for being patient during our absence!!!
@@davidhaden4363 Please don't make your fans wait so long! Nearly a year has passed. Your channel cannot grow without new content. There is so much material you must have learned in all your backpacking time yet to share with us. Stories to be told. Set by a fire and have us set with you as you cast your tales to our ears. Mix it up with others ones you have heard yourself.
Hi Eric! I now have a twin sized mattress in the Cool Camp, and you're right, it works great! Daisy and I enjoyed that site and look forward to going there again. We plan on doing a lot of Runaway camping in 2024. Thanks for the comment and watching! PS - the stars are incredible at this location!!!!
Bandit was a great dog. We had him for 15 years. Sadly, old age got to him and he passed away. Daisy and I sometimes go to his gravesite and visit. We buried him in the mountains!!!
Thanks David! I'm about to go back to work (for a month) and won't be able to do anything until next year. So that's my new years resolution... to get back to making videos.
Hi Thomas! I've been told that many times. I'll look into it and see what I can find out about it. That might make a good side gig when I retire! Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
don't rinse your dishes in the water , there's enough contaminants in it already , dish soap has plastics in em", protect nature , respect it , get a solo stove so you can also stop contaminating the air .
I'm happy to hear that you may be able to use some of the information. As is usually the case... not all of my experiments turn out the way I hoped they would. Hahaha!! Have fun out there & stay safe. Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Hi David! I hope that 2023 has been good to you so far. Sorry that I haven't posted a video lately. My wife is really enjoying our camping trips, but insists on going in our other (bigger) camper. I didn't think that my Runaway friends would be interested in seeing that. But Daisy and I are doing well and hope to get another Cool Camp trip in soon! Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Oh heck no! We all would enjoy your videos of the camping trips in the bigger camper with your wife. It's still you and Daisy! But we don't know your wife as well. But that would change. If she is camera shy, that's ok too. Many people are that way but still put out videos. They just don't show themselves. That's ok. We out here had been worried about you and what might have happened to you as suddenly no more videos. Glad your ok. Keep those videos coming!
Where have you gone? Haven't seen you on RU-vid for a long time. Have you left us without letting us know what's up? How's Daisy? Hope your well and do look forward to another video of your adventures soon..
Good day to you! I am a grandpa rider on HONDA motorcycle from Japan. Enjoying camping ,touring and upload video. Your video is so nice! Awesome! Full supported ! Have a nice day my friend!
Thank you! Your motorcycle adventures sounds like fun! I may have to try that someday myself. Be safe out there and have a great time. Thanks for the comment and watching!!!!
Hi John! I am currently at work, offshore, in the Gulf off of Louisiana. Sorry for the delayed response. I'm glad that you enjoyed the video. That trip was a lot of fun. Oh... I managed to take care of the Busch by myself, but I appreciate the offer! Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
@@johneroyale - Yes. 28 days on and 28 days off. So I only get to go camping every other month. I can't wait to retire (in about 5 years) and go all the time!!!
Hi Austin! I'm sure that you will love it! Even though I've only put mine up 1 time so far, I can tell that it's going to make a great addition to the campsite. I can't wait to take it on my next Cool Camp adventure and put it to use!!! Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Hi David! Yes, and I can't wait to go on another adventure in it. Daisy & I believe that the Clam shelter will be a great addition to it. We really want to continue our National Forest project this year (visit all 11 of them in Colorado... only 9 more to go!) Now that I know how to schedule a new video to be released, maybe I can start putting more out there. Stay tuned... Colorado is thawing out from the winter and we're itching to go. Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Haven't seen any new videos from you. Have you stopped making them? If you have stopped, that's too bad. Really enjoyed your videos. . Hope you make more soon..All of us out here miss your adventures with Daisy.
Thanks Larry! I think that the Clam is going to be a great addition to the Cool Camp. I can't wait to put it into actual use. Colorado is thawing out and Daisy & I are planning some great trips. Stay tuned for more! Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Hi Joleen! I'm sure that I will to, once I put it to actual use. This is going to make a great addition to the Cool Camp! Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Thanks Mike! I may have gotten a little distracted by the crackers, but we had fun doing it. It was a good excuse to stay outside longer. Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Hi Darrell! Was it that obvious? I might have had 1 or 7 beers during the filming of the video. It's all part of the fun! I can't wait until I can get out there and do it again. Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
O lord I sent a comment about your video to someone?? But anyway I love your videos with you and Daisy long or short I watch them all the way thru. I love the scenery you now have the music perfect, your learning an doing a great job. But just use the ax on the crackers #6?? I like that best. So maybe next time you'll get the clam up,I hope so. Till next time you and Daisy be safe and be careful. KEEP THEM VIDEOS COMING. 👍👍🍻🍻🕊🕊
Thanks Larry! I have to admit... I like this method of music in the video better myself. It makes editing so much easier. Now I don't have to listen to a bunch of songs, trying to pick which ones I like. I have been known to trim the scene to fit the music. I don't have to worry about that anymore. So I believe that I will definitely keep making future videos without a lot of music. And just a sneak peek... I have uploaded part two of The Clam and have it scheduled to be posted next Thursday. That's something else that I wanted to try out. So stay tuned! As always... thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Thanks for that! I was a little concerned about making the bearded clam comment in the video. I try to keep them family friendly. But so far, no one has had anything negative to say. You know how it is these days. You can't say anything without offending someone. I'm glad that you enjoyed the video. Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Your vids are not too long. But sometimes your music can be a bit loud.. I enjoy your format. It's real. Not staged like some others ones people are making out there in the woods . No one else has a star like Daisy as you have there with you! Daisy is a natural.
Thanks David! Daisy says to tell you "Hello"! As you know... we don't rehearse anything. We just do what we do, and people seem to enjoy it. I've often felt that the music was either too long or too much myself. I'll probably reduce that to a minimum in future videos. I have just discovered that I can make a longer video, break it up into smaller parts, and then schedule it to be released on RU-vid. Even when I'm away at work! I'll probably give that a try to see how it goes. If the majority of comments don't like it, I'll go back to my original way of doing things. By the way... you're not the first person to say that Daisy is the real star of the show. I'm a little bit jealous, but that's alright. I love her too! Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Waa-haa-haa! I didn't think of that! That's method #6. I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only person who can't open a pack of crackers. It seems to me that they could have invented a more user-friendly approach to eating those things by now!!!
@@davidhaden4363 It's all about production cost. They wrap them the cheapest way possible. That's why I keep an axe handy! Have you seen how the box has gotten smaller with fewer crackers inside but the price has gone up a lot? It's everywhere .
😂OK David here goes-I can't help but laugh with your videos, ,I would like a video once a week if possible with music, short to medium length, saltine crackers only go into Hormel chili,I use my fingers to pull the saltine package apart, and finally don't ever loose your sense of humor brother, say hey to Daisy and you both take care👍see you in pt.2🙃
Thanks for that suggestion! I have been listening to others (mostly family & co-workers) on how to improve the channel. But Daisy and I usually just go out there and do what we do. We don't rehearse anything! I kinda like it that way. It seems to me to be more honest that way. I'll definitely keep your suggestion in mind. Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
That's going to be a nice set up! I like a shorter video and feel that music can add a nice touch. Ultimately, its your channel and you should be able to do what you feel is right. Great channel David! I enjoyed the video!
Thanks for that! Many of my co-workers give me advice on how to improve the channel. But I'd rather hear suggestions from people who don't know me personally. It seems like the comments are more unbiased that way. I appreciate your comment. It will help me in future videos. As always... thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Thanks Vera! I'm very glad to hear that. I have part two of this video scheduled for next Thursday. I think that I figured out how to use the scheduling feature of RU-vid. If it actually works out the way I think it will... I'll have many more coming your way soon! Thanks for the comment & watching!!!
Yes, I like Hormel chili with beans and it makes great chili dogs- say Hi to Daisy for me- I love❤ your videos David keep them coming- you got a great sense of humor- blessings-oh I like blueberry pancakes & bacon too- maybe try an electric fan connected to your Jackery to exhaust the smoke.
Thanks Ken! You are the 4th yes to beans... there have been zero no's! The blueberry pancakes were very good, I'll have to do that again. The fan idea with the Jackery is a great one! I will definitely take that advice and try it. I always get the best suggestions from comments like these! Some of them... I would have never thought of by myself. Daisy says "Hi"! back to you and thanks for the comment and watching!!!!
Dave you are a great success you are living proof you can teach an old dog new tricks. Every time you are learning more and getting better, Daisy will catch on and get use to it. Half way thru the video I had to stop and go get a hotdog and a Bush beer in your honor. Your videos are getting better and better every time not that they were ever bad. Those gloves are the cat's meow. Till next time take care and be safe and happy. 👍😊🐕 Ps. Bean's in the chilly
Thanks Larry! I do believe that we finally have a system that works well for us and I look forward to improving upon it. This trip was much easier and better than our first one! The beer was great (as usual), the hot dogs were very good and the blueberry pancakes were awesome! I discovered that Daisy does not like blueberries. Anyway... we had a lot of fun and can't wait to go again. As always... thanks for the comment and watching!!!! By the way - you are the 3rd vote (yes) for beans!!!!!!!!!
Beans, beans, beans.. Lol! It looks like you're getting things really dialed in. Just hope Daisy can get accustomed to the tent. Keep up the good work! Happy Travels!
Yes, yes, yes! I have always said that it isn't chili without beans. My children (3 boys) prefer the chili with no beans. I'm glad that they are grown and gone now. Hahaha!!! I think you're right. The system that we're using works very well for us with the stove. And maybe... just maybe... Daisy will get used to staying in the tent. Thanks for the comment and watching!!!!
Thanks for the mention of the ash shovel and bucket. But you forgot to get one more item. To prevent coals from burning holes into your cargo mat, you didn't get the large cookie sheet to use in front of your stove. No matter how careful you are while shoveling ash, coals from the stove, some will spill,,,eventually. If nothing more. It will serve to place your hot bucket on. Great video! No music. ! Liked that better. I have preached enough. Have fun camping so we can enjoy your adventures with Daisy out in the great outdoors..I will be watching..Soon we will be taking the Range Runner out.
Thanks David! There will be a cookie sheet or something like that in the next video. I'm sure that will be a plus for the next trip. I'm enjoying this winter camping, but must admit, I can't wait for summer. I want to go camping in the Cool Camp again! Have fun with the Range Runner!!! As always... thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Thanks Blue! Even though I still called it a tie about whether Daisy would sleep in the tent or not... we did have fun. And I agree... it isn't chili without beans! Thanks for the comment and watching!!!
Thank you for another Great Video! Always fun to see what you and Daisy are up to. I hope someday my videos are as fun to watch as yours. Can’t wait for the next one, Happy Camping!
Wow! What a great compliment... thank you!! I'm going to check your channel out and see what ideas you have. Have fun out there, and thanks for watching!!!
