No close-ups of fasteners, edits that don't include half of the install process (as with the strap toggles), and no explanation as to why you'd choose one fastener over another, especially with so many choices out there... Anyone actually looking to learn something from this video will have to have already known very little. I'm sorry for having to be so brutal, but there are far too many comments blowing smoke 🌬 up your 🍑 as it is...
Even though the diagonal part is put on backwards it shows how to the measure and cut the diagonal brace and that is what I needed to know. Thanks for the video.
Hi mate, if I use a diamond disc on my angle grinder with water will it help me cutting a square out of the corner on a ceramic tile as I have to cut it around the skirting board? Cheers love your videos mate👍
Yea that brace is completely wrong and the brace should be attached to the vertical side with the hinges not on the bottom rail. To much tension on those fasteners
Great video, but two things I don't get: • You say that shelves longer than 3 feet should have center supports-but your side shelves look about 5 feet, and have no supports? • How do you attach the shelves where they meet at the corner, so that the front of the one that doesn't go clear across is supported? Is there any way to do that without adding a bracket or brace, which would be very awkward in such a confined space? I've searched the web for clues about this, but there's surprisingly little help.
Thanks for making this video. I have a hammer drill. One thing I ran into is there are gravel chips in the concrete. It seems once the drill hits these, the dril shifts away from the original hole a bit, and the result is out of three holes, only one lines up. Any advice? Many thanks Mike
BIG ask but any chance you could get a new/updated price quote for this project in today’s dollars from one of the big box stores? Great video, but I’m guessing at least 5k for the supplies today.
I was going to remodel my 50 year ceramic tile counter in my kitchen. But regrouting the old and a new sink makes more $$$ sense today. Thank you for sharing.
Good video.. BUT!! Using the wheel, deflate the tire to prevent popping and give you a concave suface to increase stability. The lever method is hot garbage. Any 10' prying tool will bend or break whilst you got all your dumbass wheight on it (please video and post for comic relief). Jeep Jacks aren't cheap, but this is the best method...
We mirrored your design for the steps on one end of our new retaining wall (thanks for all the help!). First two rows go straight out from the wall while 3rd row angles out and 4th row angles deeper. This makes the steps. Question: any suggestions to reinforce the front of the 3rd and 4th rows? Lots of gravel behind and under but nothing in front so they aren’t very stable and don’t feel comfortable using them as steps. Noticed you also don’t have reinforcement in front of yours but maybe you don’t use them as steps
I was drilling holes into concrete last weekend and found the drill bit going blunt after the first hole a problem as I needed to drill 8 holes I was using a 5/16 masonry drill bit
Just wondering... according to the narrator's instructions, the diagonal support on the bottom should be mounted near the hinge. So, did the person in the video mount the gate upside down?
Thank you. Just need 4 holes for a water hose mount. I dont need anything fancy. Im a country gurl that lives and breathes outdoors handy work around my home. Will do just fine for me. Thank you for the 2 comparisons. Great video. Really great.😊
Hi there, I have to install my baseboard and I have all the materials tools I need although it is my first time I keep calling my brother overseas with questions about everything So me watching your video and you don’t use the statsfinder it is a smart way to. I definitely follow your instructions. Thanks Happy Reno
