I can tell you the only bad problem with these bikes are the brakes. They will go bad within a week of heavy riding. The front usually lasts longer though.
I'M 65 THOSE DAYS ARE OVER. I NEED TO PEDDLE 3 MILES ONEWAY ON A DIRT ROAD, A SLIGHT UPHILL ON THE WAY HOME! I THINK IT SURPASSES MY EXPECTATIONS! I HAD A GIANT 30-PLUS YEARS AGO, IM SURE THIS COMPARES, TECHNOLOGIES COME A LONG WAY!
honestly i think you should take ozark trail ridge on those trails it has an actual fork and i would say a better ride you could try the mongoose impass but im not convinced that its much better thought im sure it is better
I own both and have for two years. I always gravitate back to the chesters. My feet always seem to get knocked off the one ups. I use 510 shoes. Also when your feet do get knocked off, the chesters seem to be a lot easier to get your feet back in the proper position a little quicker. Just my experience. Chesters for me every time!
Hey! Found you looking for way to turn off clicks in the hub. Have brompton T line. Saw a vid where someone showed a hack. Can’t find. Any tips or link. Thank you!
I had this bike in blue, I loved it, rode the life out of this bike, all over Arizona, Colorado and Oregon, never had a problem with it. Sold it and purchased a mongoose ardor and now I'm hooked on hard tail downhill runs.
Single piston mechanical disc brakes, when set up and adjusted correctly, are actually quite good. They will only bend the rotor maybe one mm towards the fixed side, which is not even perceptible and does not affect the braking in any negative way. But people like that 'mechanic' love to berate cheap products simply because they don't cost a lot. That's bs.
thing is hydraulic disks are now so cheap the little cost saved isnt worth it anymore, like i could get a set of cheap tektro aurigas for 50 bucks, or shimano mt 200s for about the same, and thats from reputable brands. if you get something from Like zoom you can go down to 15! bucks. there is no point in going mechanical anymore
The best way to ride Wasatch crest. Is to park at Park city Mountain resort. Ride up Spiro connect with mid mountain ride South towards the crest, make the big climb leading up to puke hill. Then, right across the crest down into the canyons resort, take a right at the at the mid mountain Trail, and ride it back to Park city resort.
You need to go for one of the hard tails with a Suntour fork. They are MUCH better bikes. These dual suspension bikes I like to call "kabuki bikes" after the kabuki speakers from the 70s and 80s. All flash and no substance.
