I think it depends on the time of year and the type of room you book. I booked through American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts (which includes breakfast, wifi, $100 resort credit). I booked a simple room and was upgraded. I paid (in total with resort fees, taxes, etc) about $400 (US) per night. It was a splurge but its such a unique property with such history & in an amazing location, I have no regrets 😊 Thanks for checking out the room tour!
You are not wrong. I generally book with points, be it flights or hotel rooms, and I save a lot. But there are some places you just want to experience enough that you pay 😂. The Chateau for me was one of those places & I was absolutely not disappointed.
Great video! A few things I didn't know about, but need for my upcoming int'l trip like the Splenda tablets and the Baggallini attachable mini pouch. Thanks!
Really helpful to see the difference between the zippered one and the latched one. I’m more interested in the carry on version where I don’t think the difference between zip vs latch would be as big of a deal. But still, you can clearly see that the monos one has more structural integrity. Nice to see regular people giving reviews, thanks!
Thank you for the comment. I do like the July suitcase but I love my Monos. I have the hybrid carry on too and it’s great- but you are right, I think the zipper vs. latch is less important in a carry on size.
The CRJ900 gets hated on a lot, and for good reason. It is my least favorite plane to fly on. The only redeeming feature of this plane is the 1-2 business class configuration. Glad you weren't shoe-horned into one of the seats in economy 🤣
I have never had an issue. The button is in the middle of the handle (underside) but you have to be somewhat intentional to make it go up and down, at least for me.
Hi. No, I actually love the locks. I was a little nervous at first, but having used this (and the large check in) bag a bunch now I prefer it to zippers. No trouble with overhead bin. It doesn’t expand and is the perfect carry on dimensions so not an issue. Sometimes when the bin is full a bit of rearranging- but that’s with any bag.
Honestly- if it’s the same teacher (on Beyond) cancel. She literally had us draw a line across the paper and then taught us how to draw squares and circles that make things look closer and farther away (“perspective” she kept saying). There was no guidance and nothing to draw (no example or object). If you’ve done the painting ones they teach you step by step and you are painting an actual picture of something- this class there wasn’t anything. Everyone was confused and no one really drew anything. There are plenty of free coloring classes or other arts/crafts on the ship, you are better off just going to those- this really was a waste of money- and the wines were cheap & nothing special. Sorry.
I will definitely inquire at Guest Relations on Embarkation. The main reason I booked this, was because my wife and I have enjoyed painting classes in the past. But if it’s like you say on the Edge, then I am for sure cancelling. Thank you very much for the heads up.
I always pack a days worth of clothes and extra undies. A friend went to Spain for 6 days. Her suitcase was lost. She finally got it 4 days into her trip. Also, yes to your traveling pharmacy. Lol, funny. Thanks for sharing.
You only have to lose you luggage once to be convinced that bringing an extra set of clothes and shoes in your carry on is a very good idea. Same for trying to find aspirin or cold medicine in a foreign country, easier just to have what you know. Hope you can use 1 or 2 of those tips. Thank you doe the comment
American Airlines Domestic First Class on Airbus a321 are rows 1-5. Not as nice as International Business class (lie flat seats, 1-2-1 lay out & much more private)but much more room than economy, seats recline more and full meal service.
Honestly, I wish I knew! I have tried to fix it, and it seems I do, but then it’s crossed out again. I will try again this weekend. Sorry for the frustration, but thank you for the comment 🤗
It’s very nice, would like a few more drawers for putting clothes in, but a great alternative to paying double for a regular veranda room. Thanks for watching/the comment
Great video of this room! When you went into the bathroom and opened the shower there was an audible noise that sounded like central air maybe? Is this sound noticeable from the room with the bathroom door closed? Did you notice it while using the bathroom? It sounded kind of loud in the video. Thanks!
Great question- you cannot hear it when outside of the bathroom, and even when the shower door is closed the sound is very low. It took me awhile to figure it out, but it is a typical bathroom fan to help with steam while showering. It comes on when you turn on the bathroom light and goes off when you turn the light off. Thanks for watching!
Looks like you were at the DFW Centurion lounge. Next time you fly through DFW you should check out the Capital One lounge at DFW. It’s by gate D22, and in my opinion is superior to the centurion. Although, looks like Amex is stepping their game up with the new gelato offering
Hi. Most things can be found on Amazon. The Luka bag is CalPak The Tumi bag is an older model and not made anymore, though similar versions can be found on Tumi’s website. I put the website for the CorneaCare items in the description. Clutch charger can be found at Clutch’s website. Bose items can be found on the Bose website. Travel hair straightener at Tymo Beauty’s website. ThinOptics readers at ThinOptics website. Everything else on Amazon- I used the name as listed for the items. Sorry for the inconvenience- I will note this for next time. Thank you for the comment & suggestion ☺️
Great question 😊 The ones I hold up are Dr. Motion, which I like very much (very comfortable). I also like Bombas- the ones I have are thicker and warmer, also very very comfortable. I wore them under wool socks when traveling in winter. Thank you for the kind comment!
Anyone with a video of packing the large and then packing the medium to see what was left out of the medium....I'm trying to figure out which one to get?!?!
Sorry I don’t have a video like that, very good idea though. The price difference isn’t much between the medium and large ($35 if I recall) so if I had to choose I would get the large. The large has 27L more space. I know that’s not what you asked but… Hope you find a video 😊
If you would like this bag simply send a DM to CandATravels2024 on Instagram and I will send it to you. ***US RESIDENTS ONLY****UPDATE THIS BAG HAS BEEN CLAIMED 3/4/2024****Thank you
